This review ONLY compares my experience with other fast food breakfast offerings from McDonald's, Wendy's, and Sonic. Food: - Breakfast Burger Combo ($12.50). A large sesame seed bun filled with a gently fried, fluffy egg, charbroiled hamburger patty (take THAT McDonalds!), cheese, bacon, tater tots, and ketchup. I had my doubts about a fried egg and a beef patty on a breakfast sandwich. Hands down--the BEST fast food sandwich I've ever eaten! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - Croissant Sunrise Sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese Combo ($8.50). Again, the egg was fluffy and perfect. The sausage patty, and the croissant was buttery, moist, and didn't fall apart! TAKE THAT SONIC! - Sides: A carton of Tater Tots with each combo. The Tots are crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. - Drink: I chose Barq's Root Beer from the self-serve soda fountain. LOVE Root Beer, but you get coffee, OJ, Coke products, and others. Service: Very prompt and friendly. She even brought the food to our table! TAKE THAT WENDY's! Ambiance: Very clean, bright, and inviting. My Check In photo shows the inside. I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at Carl's Jr. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger, and both were absolutely disgusting. The chicken sandwich made me violently ill -- full-blown food poisoning that left me bedridden. The burger was greasy, bland, and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. This place clearly has no standards for food safety or quality. I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy. I'm shocked they're still in business. I will never eat here again, and I strongly urge others to stay far away unless you enjoy nausea, stomach cramps, and regret. read more

Wow... it's my 1st time at Carl's in ages. Last time was way back at the Anaheim location near Disneyland. It's been so long, and I have totally forgotten about it. My initial feeling of interior is kinda like Wendy's. This location has been around for a while and shows. Back to food. I was a bit shocked by my burger. It was nicely wrapped and lettuce and tomatoes and cheese, and the rest were perfectly presented. It looked even better than the In and Outs. Ketchup and mayo combo was good, too. Fries were hot, not too thick, and not too thin. Perfectly done. Overall, the restaurant was clean, staff including my cashier, was very friendly. She even brought out my food to the table. I grew up with Hardee's and was never really a fan, so I was skeptical. When I got there the place was empty, but very clean. The cashier was great, no issue getting the gluten free order right on the first try, and they brought it to our table once it was done. The gluten free burger was wrapped perfectly in lettuce so that you could actually hold it and put down and pick it back up again. It was easier to eat than with a bun. Fries were perfect, burgers were hot, juicy, delicious, bacon was perfectly cooked. Milkshake was okay but I prefer malts, not their fault. If you can, download the app and use a coupon. read more

I usually try to avoid Carl's Jr. not because it isn't yummy fast food, but because it is calorie packed fast food! Don't look at the nutritional values unless you want to go into cardiac arrest :) I love their turkey burgers, chicken tenders and spicy chicken. This one off Lincoln is kind hard to get into - can you say roundabout? Nobody ever knows how to use a frikken roundabout so I always get nervous when I have to go through this one (its busy!). Yeah... what others have said on service and food. I do t ever come here but the boy wanted a cheeseburger. Long wait and subpar service. Burgers looked like the smashed buns from the pile, put together sloppily and just bad. I know what I was getting into, but this was setting the bar really low. Carl's Jr. isn't normally my first choice for lunch, but there are not too many other fast food places on this part of Lincoln Ave, east of I-25. So if you are starving to death it beats standing in the 20-minute line at Subway. The food here is about what you expect - not bad, but not 5 Star French cuisine either. At least their French fries are usually served hot! For sandwiches it's hard to find anything that isn't loaded with calories. I usually go with the Chicken Club (560 calories) or Teriyaki Burger (600 calories). Many of their burgers have 900+ calories. The service is friendly but really shaky some days. One time I got the completely wrong order. Another time I got the wrong beverage and wrong size of fries. Going inside isn't any faster service even if the drive-in line is 7 cars deep. They don't have much competition in this immediate area, so I keep going here about once/week. read more

Was the only car in the drive through and waited 12 minutes for cold, old fries and a burger that was so greasy that Exxon Mobil was trying to drill into it for oil. The chicken tenders we got were so stale that you could SMELL stale oil emanating off of it. These three items came at the excessive cost of $16. I'm a Carl's Jr. fan. This location is massively understaffed and a big let down. Arrived with no cars in drive through, about 530 pm. Ordered 2 normal menu burgers, 2 sides, and a kids meal. 13 minutes later finally got my food. Asked for a receipt because the total seemed high, was told the printer was broken. I think these poor employees were trying to run the restaurant with only 2 workers. The order taker was obviously new, but also running between counter and drive through. Much improved! If you've not been to this location in awhile, give them another chance. I believe it may be under new management/ownership. I still remember my days working at Carl's Jr. and know how things should be done. They are fairly quick regarding service, have yet to get an order wrong in the many visits I've had there, and the food always seems fresh. So the online allergen menu says the fries are free from all allergens. Just to be sure, I ask the kid at the counter if the fries are made in a dedicated fryer. He has no idea what I'm asking, so I tell him it says they wheat free on the website. The fry box was for the large fry that I ordered, but would have gotten just as many fries in the small order if not more. Out of the fast food places this is my favorite burger joint. I purchased a high school sports card for $25 that's good for a year. One of the items on it is buy a burger and a medium drink get a burger of equal/lesser price for free. My son and I love the Western Bacon Cheeseburgers. One secret, get extra BBQ sauce. So, I guess with this one review I'm rating two things, the HS card and Carl's. Both get 5 stars! My son and I stop in after hockey practice and devour two WCBs (western bacon cheeseburgers) each. That's the one time I can actually justify all the calories but, I'm convinced while Einstein had his equation: e=mc^2; my equation is more basic: fat=flavor. Finally, we all backed out of the drive-thru, most people left, I however, went inside to find out what the hell was going on. When I entered this unfortunate place, there was no one at the counter. I ordered two of the burgers with the hotdogs on it with no produce on it, when the lame cook handed the guy my stuff he said that it wasn't supposed to have produce on it, so he just took the lettuce off and handed to me. I was so hot I thought I was going to drag that idiot over the counter and smash him, so I just left before something happened. I have been to this location quite a few times over the years. I enjoy CJrs food, but the lack of decent service here is pathetic. I've registered one complaint before, but got a call from what sounded like someone doing phone work from their home in the Caribbean doing QC. I go here once a quarter now if I'm lucky, I just have had too many bad experiences at this location. The last time was the straw, I won't go to this location again.
