Okay, let me start with the girl who took out order, who didn't have a clue what she was selling. We asked what was in the teriyaki burger, she said, pineapple... Really? What kind of sauce? I don't know... Okay, anyways, so we order, get out food and it looks like it's been sitting on the warmer for the last hour. Why did we wait if this what we waited for? Honestly, we wanted to love it but it is a rip off... My husband and I have been there twice. The first time it was a really expensive "nothing special". Went there today to give it another try..as we had coupons.. two for $10.99... "oh, but that's without "tax"" which made the total almost 13.00 plus our provincial tax.. making the total almost $14... not sure what the special tax was but sure seems like your taking advantage of customers to me! So I went to the Carls Jr. in Tamarack and I was rather disappointed with almost everything. The employees didn't seem to have any idea what they were doing [but to be fair neither did I]. I was also disappointed that my order was not fully correct, I requested no ice on both drinks, however, one did have Ice and I found that the portions were rather small for my liking. Especially considering how much I was paying, which is a little bit more than Mc.Donalds. However, the food was far better than Mc.Donalds and a lot of other fast food places as well. If the price drops, I get more for what I am paying or the employees get better training I will definitely get food there again as I did enjoy my meal. I hope they do fix these Issues as I would like to see them succeed here in Canada and if they fix the issues I would say they are an excellent replacement to Mc.Donalds. read more

Staff were very friendly and helpful at this location on a recent visit. Not a typical choice for a vegetarian but they are willing to accommodate with a satisfactory result. Will visit again. read more

We were out in the west end shopping and wanted to eat somewhere we have never tried before. Carl's Jr was excellent, with great tasty food and very friendly service from Pia. My wife had the Teriyaki burger and thought it was much better than the Red Robin version, with a really nice grill on the pineapple. I had the peppercorn bacon burger and it was well grilled and with very fresh toppings. We both thought the burger buns were great, fresh and very tasty. We also tried the Jalapeno poppers and agreed that they were very yummy and will definitely be ordering them again. For a fast food restaurant you get fast friendly service with food quality far better than other burger chains. read more

Sorry they need to FIX THE PARKING LOT !!!! Traffic on the main roads cuts right through the drive thru lane !!! Parking is IMPOSSIBLE because again the drive thru line up cuts in the MIDDLE of the general parking lot !! VERY poorly designed. Talk about stupidity and upset people. Went inside the first time busy busy busy - they seemed overwhelmed and very disorganized. Order got screwed up. I would have been waiting another half hour if the Manager did not hand me my order. The burgers are made with processed cheese - ugh. The chicken tenders were good but they are VERY skimpy on the dipping sauce portions. Make sure you get EXTRA dipping sauce if your order them. For what you get you should just pay another 2.00 more and go to Red Robin across the street. Not WORTH the frustration, Fast food ? I think NOT. This store is an embarrassment and shouldn't be allowed to use the Carl's Jr name. In the US, Carl's Jr and Hardee's (same store, different name) make 75% of their profit on breakfast. The biscuits are handmade in every store every morning and taste amazing, and there is a full menu just for the morning. Therefore this Carl's Jr decided to limit the breakfast down a 3 or 4 items and do away with biscuits all together. Then again, why would you want a perfectly crispy battered pork chop with gravy, held by a delicious, flaky, buttery buttermilk biscuit when you can have powdered egg on a disgusting English muffin that tastes like cardboard? Such a shame to see someone fail so hard at running a business that normally seems to just fall into money. Maybe someone at corporate will wisen up and pull their franchise so I don't have to drive past a shell of what could be on a daily basis. Imagine the price of a mid range burger joint like A&W or five guys with the food quality just above a soup kitchen. No lettuce or tomato on an 9$ burger a patty could not have been more than 4oz before it was cooked on a press, the bun was soggy and the bacon wasn't even warm, much less cooked. Really not surprised to see this location only has two stars. We have been to a couple of the other locations (Grande Prairie and Spruce Grove) and never had a problem with either of them. This place however is seriously lacking. We attempted to come here on our way out of town when it first open, and the line up was through the door. Understandable, so we tried the SG location with our gift card. (Had a great experience there!) This time round we had more money to get rid of on the same gc and tried the Edmonton location. Well that was a mistake. First of all they don't accept giftcards/their system won't, the owner was in and apologized and said you could come back with it at a later date. Okay, this could have been an option if our food wasn't mediocre at best. We got cold checker fries and there was all of eight. Pretty pathetic. The other two times we have gone I couldn't finish my fries and this time my plan was to steal a couple from my husband. Needless to say when we are leaving town next we'll be topping in Spruce Grove to use our giftcard. If you want a good experience with Carls Jr I'd highly recommend trying one of the locations. read more

Love their food, especially their chocolate milkshakes! It's a bit on the pricier side but their portions are a lot bigger than what you get at, for example, McDonald's, so it evens out. read more

Was excited to see that Carl's Jr. was finally coming to Edmonton, however, when we went to try it out during their opening weekend I was not impressed. We choose to go through Drive-Thru because the line up was out the door, but found out it was equally just as slow moving. When we ordered we had gotten two burgers and two cups of ice waters. When we reached the window we were surprised to see that our bill was over $17, and found out that they were charging us for two soft drinks in place of the ice waters. The "supervisor" came to the window and barked at us saying in a very demeaning voice that waters are still a beverage, and on top of all that, one of the burgers was incorrect. Overall this place was terrible!! Don't waste your time driving here if you don't live near it, go to Fat Burger or Five Guys instead! Aside from the ignorance of the supervisor, the food quality is subpar at best! read more
