The food wasn't that great ordered a number one and got the bun and toppings right but had a kiddy patty in it then some lady come in no uniform no hairnet and jumps on the line not the kinda work ethics I'd expect from a corporate or franchise restaurant

I had a guacamole burger. It was ice cold! I truly believe they believe if it has guacamole on it it should be cold. WTH! Never go here!

I got a cherry limeade, i highly recommend this drink. My friend got a regular burger basket added cheese and bacon. She liked her burger and fries. She got a lemonade to drink, this drink did not measure up to the cherry limeade at all. It tasted like sugar water with the slightest hint of lemon. Do not recommend the lemonade. Additional note: the fries did not have any salt or pepper. We very easily added to our taste and all was well. Service: the service was great! Time: like the other reviews mentioned, this is NOT fast food. We waited 30 mins for our food to come out. Please make sure that you go here when you have time. Ambiance: we did sit outside. Mind you we were here in October in the evening time. It was a wonderful temperature outside and the wind was not bad at all. The only thing that startled us was when a train went by and blew the horn.

Once again, they did not disappoint. If anything, the food has gotten better! Ordered the mushroom…read moreswiss burger again, with bacon added. The burger had a really good grilled taste. I don't consume sugary sodas (or nasty aspertame diet drinks!), so last time I had a tea, this time they had Zero Dr. Pepper, and it just brought the whole meal together, lol. (PS - The "Zero" sodas have aspertame as well, but much less than the "diet" drinks. They are mostly sweetened with sucralose, which isn't exactly healthy for you, but tastes 100% better and is better for you than aspertame). We love Hi-D-Ho, and their prices are decent.

We were seated immediately with no wait, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Our waitress, Jasmine, was fantastic -- beautifully groomed with a genuinely sweet smile, she made us feel well cared for throughout the meal. Service was attentive and warm. I ordered the Mongolian chicken, which was delicious. Joe had a salad topped with steak, also very good. We both tried their wine flights -- I chose the red, Joe the mixed selection. Both were quite good, showcasing the winery's quality offerings. Everything about this visit hit the mark: excellent food, outstanding service, superb wine, and no hassle getting in. Highly recommended.

The pot roast is super tender and flavorful and the veggies with it pair well. The chicken fettuccini was not my favorite of the mix, but it was still cooked very well and tasted good. I'm not the biggest fan of French onion soup but this was a decent one. And although we only got 1 serving of bread, it was warm and perfectly soft inside. Why it was just ok: we turned up without reservations around 7:30 and were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told that was also 30 minutes despite there being empty seats. Fine. We waited. 45 minutes later, multiple parties come in, without reservations. They manage to sit at the bar. We were told it's first come first serve and we needed to just grab a seat. Would have been nice if we were told that from the start, especially since we couldn't sit at the empty seats earlier. We got our food to go instead more than an hour after we first came in. If there was anything else open by the time we found out, we would have just left. Despite this, I'd say this is a good spot to get food to go, or make sure you have reservations ahead of time.

Everything tasted as if it was freshly prepared in a close friend's home. The food was spiced well, the cheese on the bean was melted, and portions were great. The service was comforting too. The inside feels homey, bright colors, and cool from the strong AC. That is a bonus in the desert heat. The only downside is that chips and salsa were not included. I would have loved to try some other salsas with my chili colorado plate. Their salsa verde on the chimichanga plate was fantastic.

For an appetizer, we shared chips and salsa and they brought a green salsa that was spicy and a red salsa which was mild. We enjoyed mixing them together. Our waitress Cheyenne was awesome. My husband and I shared shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. The fajitas came with a salad and rice and also guacamole, cheese, lettuce & tomatoes. There was plenty for both of us and the fajitas were delicious. The shrimp were really big. My friends got a bean burrito and a chicken dish which both came with rice and beans. They liked their meals as well. We ended the meal with caramel churros for dessert and they were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is cute inside.

Food took a while but the place was packed. I would say the food was good. Not great. Loved the French fries tho. The wall says made from scratch but it wasn't sadly. The chicken fried steak was very good with white gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and a toasted biscuit. I always toast my biscuits at home, but this was the first time a restaurant toasted my biscuit and it was great. Service was prompt and coffee refills were provided when needed. I've decided this is my go-to restaurant for comfort food. Since my first visit to Rustic Cafe a month ago, I have eaten there three more times. I tried the hamburger steak with grilled onions and mushrooms on my second visit. It was very good too, but the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese sides were only Lukewarm. I guess I could have sent them back, but the steak and brown gravy was hot enough. The mac and cheese was nothing to get excited about. On my next visit I tried the BLT on Texas toast. It seemed a bit small for the $8.99 price and the mayo tasted a little weird to me (I only use Best Foods mayo at home.) It did include plenty of thin crisp bacon, but I had trouble biting through the tomato slices since my top and bottom front teeth don't quite touch. On my last visit, I had the Rustic Cheeseburger (medium) with onion rings as a side. The 1/3 lb. burger was very good, and I thought the quantity and quality of the onion rings was excellent. Only after I got home and looked at my receipt did I realize that I'd been charged a separate $1.49 for onion rings that were supposed to be included as side with the burger. I didn't really mind the extra charge since they had given me so many onion rings and they were the best I've eaten in many years. On one visit, the waitress gave me a 10% senior discount that I've not received on any other visit, so I don't know if this is a policy or just at the discretion of the wait staff. I know others have complained about slow service, but I'm retired and always bring my crossword puzzles with me to work on while I'm waiting, so I've not really noticed if the service is slow. Rustic Cafe is not advertised as a "fast food" joint, so I am happy with the speed of the service. My servers have always been pleasant and accommodating to any of my requests. Breakfast was always my favorite meal, and I'm pleased to find a place that offers breakfast all day. That'll have to be my next visit though.
