The transmission worked fine otherwise, it just had a harsh shift between 1st and 2nd. They drove the car and determined that I needed a $3,200-3,500 rebuild. I did further research on this problem and found that a common issue was a bad 28260-PRP-014 Transmission Dual Linear Solenoid. A part that did not require removing the transmission as it bolted to the outside. I ordered a rebuilt one from Amazon for $50 and had my local mechanic install it for an hour of labor. Transmission is now good as new. Shifts smoothly in all gears. I rather doubt Manny has never heard of this problem as it affects Honda Civics, Accords, Pilots etc. I avoided being scammed by doing my own research. To be fair to Manny, another local transmission shop gave me the same advice and pricing. Buyer beware.

I had an issue with my windows not going down so I asked him to check it. He charged me for looking at it and told me he changed some fuses. I didn't have the money to get it fixed so he gave me a copy of what the bill was. It was almost 600 dollars. I took the car to a relative and he took the little panel off where the power buttons are and asked why is this unplugged I told him Joe must have left it like that, so he plugged them together then turned my car on and what do you know ALL the power windows went down. I had also brought my car to him with a screw in my tire and I asked him if he could plug it. Well he called me back and said that the tire was no good and of course he had one for just over 100 dollars, so I paid it. Well I recently got a flat and for the heck of it I asked the repair guy at Ryder tire in West Warwick if he would see if the tire in my trunk that Joe said was no good could be used? Well what do you know the tire was fine and I have been using it for over 2 months now. I also went back and looked at some of the bills that I have from Joe and things are not adding up!!! What a surprise. I don't know how that man sleeps at night. I left him a message but of course I got no reply. Times are tough and I have a family to support and the very last thing I needed was Joe to rob me. I absolutely believe in karma so just know it's coming Joe.

Finally after a rebuilt tranny, which should last a long time just gave out after a year. I took it to another transmission specialist and he admitted that a rebuilt tranny should last well over 5 years.
