My brother, John, has been raving about Carlo's Pizza and we finally made it out here. Carlo's Pizza is family owned and serves up NY & NJ style pizza. They are located in a Publix shopping plaza. We did takeout. We got 4 slices and the artichoke appetizer. Loved the toppings. They give a generous amount of toppings and they were tasty. The pizza tasted great! The dough was really good too! The artichoke appetizers had a nice presentation and were made well. The dipping sauce that came with the artichoke dip was bomb! I had some of that dip with my pizza and it was the perfect combo. We also wanted to try their sub but they ran out of bread. Will definitely have to come back to try that and the other menu items. I will definitely be returning! It was worth the drive from Suwanee.

I always get a pepperoni slice when I come here. price is reasonable for 1 slice. I like you can call-in your order or walk-in. I usually call-in. Located in a shopping plaza as Publix. The store is small. Window table with bar stools enough for about 6 people. it's more of a pick-up and go establishment. They recently added cane sugar soda--both fountain and large bottles. I apparently keep forgetting to take food pictures. I seem to gobble it down (usually in my car in the parking lot. oh..1 time I tried the Italian sandwich(over 1.5 years ago). try it if you're a sandwich person. I personally want pizza from a pizza joint. late post is better than none....last visit 08/05/2024.

Ordered the frozen pizza delivered to my door during the pandemic. Loved it. Had to stop in driving from Florida back to home in northern Ky. Placed the order online and it was ready when I arrived. Friendly staff and most importantly great tasting pizza.

Sausage and pepperoni! Left overs are even better if you put the extra slices in the oven.

If you moved down to GA and have been looking for a place, this is the one to be at. This hidden gem offers more than just pizza, but their slices are so good, I just go with my regular large pie. Their crust is phenomenal, their slices fold to perfection, and everything stays on the slice after one bite. Pizzas always come out on time and they have continued to impress both my dad and I on both a food quality and customer service perspective.

The best NY/NJ style pizza in the south by far!!!! Extra thin and crispy and great sauce with just the right amount of cheese

Still the best pizza in GA and some of the best outside of the NY/NJ area. Family owned business that uses the best ingredients. Not the cheapest, but with food costs the way they are, I'm not holding it against them.

    Slice of pepperoni! Yum!

I wasn't really feeling pizza…read moretoday and they feature three options which are kind of like thick focaccia bread with toppings on top. Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.

On the inside it's a quaint dining area with a parlor style, very simple chairs and tables. You've got full view of their pizza oven which is engraved with Vesuvio on the front. Sparsely decorated with vintage and photos reminiscent of Napoli Italy. They host Neapolitan style pizza which includes simple and fresh ingredients and a thin crust making it easy to fold a piece of their pies together to prevent spills. There is a small fridge with drinks on the side. You go up to the counter, grab a menu and tell the cashier/hostess what you want and you pay right at the counter. Tipping is optional. We ordered the margherita and porcillina pies. The first had all the expected toppings. I really liked the taste of the fresh mozzarella and they didn't heavily sauce it so it was a delicate balance. Topped with marzano tomatoes and basil was so delicious. The second was topped with Italian sausage and spicy salami. Just a slow heat that wasn't overpowering which I really liked. The crust on both were very evenly cooked, a wonderful blend of chewy and crispy. I also didn't feel like these pies were heavy. They didn't weigh down your stomach afterwards. I was also eyeing their homemade bruschetta which I think I would try next. The prices here were also quite good, no higher than 16 dollars making an affordable night out. The simplicity and freshness of the food makes it worthwhile to visit and try for yourself!

Solid execution, even if it didn't quite stand out compared to some of the top spots in the city.
