a cheese pizza in a box
    Suzy J.

This was my first time trying this pizza. A friend of mine at work had a coupon for a free large pizza and told me to give it a try. This location is relatively close to where I live, so I figured why not get a free pizza. We decided to order the cheese sticks as well. It comes with two sauces. I asked for ranch instead, but I think they misheard me and decided to give me both. The cheese sticks were really good. The pizza was also really good. It wasnt too greasy/oily. It had the perfect amount of sauce on it too. We definitely enjoyed the free pizza. Next time we want pizza, we will have to give them another try.

Small cheese and pepperoni (old fashioned)

This stop #42 on our pizza tour. That's right in the last 3 years we have hit 42 pizza places (there are rules of course). I drove by the other day and we realized we had not been to this place yet. So on my kids half day of school (our district is going face to face) we placed an order. The shop is easy to find. Once we got there it was lunch rush and they had a few people waiting to pick up. Inside was neat and clean. We ordered a small cheese and pepperoni (old fashioned) and Carlo bread. The pizza was some of the best we've had in awhile. Their sauce along with the old fashioned pepperoni was simply the best. The Carlo bread was boring and missing something like garlic. It comes with pizza sauce but ranch would have a better option. The cost for pizza and bread was $12.68.

Its cozy. In a strip mall, carryout only.

Pizza is good and consistent in quality. Definitely a pizza we would buy again. Salads and deserts are also available.

The last two pizzas were disappointing. The bottom crust was unusually mushy. Thinking of going some where else for my pizza.

The slices are great and one dollar. Actually, their slices are better than their pizzas. It is perfect if you want a quick bite.

The cheese bread is a nice compliment to your pizza of choice. What makes the bread more enjoyable though are the housemade ranches. The options are classic or "raging." The raging ranch definitely has a kick, but it's tolerable. As for the pizza, I have 2 favorites, the chicken coop and mama's meatball pizza. The meatball pizza's generous amount of meatballs and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top make it reminiscent of a homemade pasta dinner. BBQ chicken pizzas typically feature shredded chicken. What I like about the chicken coop, is that it features bite-sized pieces of fried chicken instead. Regardless of which pizza you order, I recommend the "all corner" option. Any time I can support an independently owned business, like Square One, over a franchise, I will. The food I've had has been exceptional, and is also competitively priced.

Lasagna 4stars It had been many years since I had dined here. It is kind of in a corner of my area we just don't get to for some reason. One night we couldn't decide where we wanted to dine and we all said hey let's go to Luigi's. Our first visit was amazing when it came to the fettuccine Alfredo with cauliflower noodles. The Alfredo sauce was absolutely delicious and tasty. The bread basket was amazing with little homemade bread rolls. The spaghetti with meat sauce and meatball was just disappointing and uneventful . More and more we are finding many of the Italian restaurants we go to have spaghetti and meat sauce that is just not what it used to be. It didn't have any garlic flavor, was very heavy tomato based VERY acidic and the meatball was again just OK. Lasagna was delicious. I asked to add Alfredo sauce on top ,one of my favorite things to do when it comes to lasagna. We returned for a birthday dinner probably just four or five weeks later. Basically we all ordered the same items except for the lasagna. I went for the pizza which was very very very good. The Alfredo with gluten-free noodles were not very good this time. There was so much parsley in it. All you could taste was a dry green flavor, it did not have a great Parmesan flavor, and there was no garlic that we could taste. The chicken was OK. The spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs I can only explain as being subpar. This time it did taste like tomato paste diluted with tomato sauce, and it was actually the same thickness and flavor of the minestrone soup with very Little meat . The meatball again was just OK. We could pour the liquid sauce off of the plate. Noodles appeared to be drained, it just seemed like the sauce was extremely thin with minimal meat and just minimal flavor. Really not sure if we would return. Inside is a little dated, however well maintained and clean. Our first time dining here we had great service. This second visit, again our server was subpar. When they serve pizza, they put a piece on your plate and serve that to you and then bring the whole pizza to the table. The waitress asked if we wanted Romano cheese on on the food and I said sure. She failed to put Romano cheese on the piece of pizza she herself served to me on a plate. I did not say anything ,and it could have been Me but the two people at the table felt the same way I did, our server just didn't seem invested in our dining experience. We did let our server know about our disappointment with the spaghetti and Alfredo dish. A manager never came to speak with us, they never offered to take anything off of the bill considering my son didn't even eat his spaghetti with meat sauce(where was the meat actually there was not much that could be located). And , the waitress could see how much parsley was in the fettuccine Alfredo. She did ask if they could remake our meals, but we are not very comfortable with sending our meals back to be remade. Removing the spaghetti with meat sauce would've truly been an appropriate move. We did not expect that two whole meals would be removed from the bill being my partner was so hungry he went ahead and ate his birthday dinner ,fettuccine Alfredo.

The dishes I ate will be rated separately because of their range in quality. Bread Basket: 4/5 The bread basket that came with the prime rib that I ordered was better than most. It came with multiple freshly baked dinner rolls with some char on them and crispy breadsticks, complemented by a garlicky butter. Soup of the Day (Seafood Bisque): 5/5 This soup was the best dish of all that I had ordered. Despite being a side dish for the prime rib, its rich flavor overshadowed everything else I ate for the evening. House Salad: 2.5/5 The salad is a standard salad that you can skip. Nothing special. Louisiana Lemon Pepper Walleye: 4/5 The walleye was the second best dish. It was a well seasoned, large filet that had a great tartar sauce to go with it. This is a dish I would order again if I came back. Prime Rib: 3/5 The prime rib was surprisingly underwhelming. The edges of the prime were a little tougher than I'd like, and the prime rib itself came out a little cold. The au jus could have been reduced to be a little more concentrated as well. Overall, if I were to come back I would choose to order some different menu items, apart from the soup.
