Really unprofessional staff. I tried to make an appt.with the woman answering the phones and she hung up on me when her fax line started ringing. Trying to understand her was also difficult. I'm asking for an appt. and she says first whats your insurance, who referred you, when can you come in? When I said tomorrow, she says, OH CAN'T SEE YU FO almost a month. I was thinking then whey did she ask me when I could come in. Then I tried to explain the issue and that was another trial there. Oh well, off to see another dentist. read more

I was referred to Dr. Fausto by one of my co-workers who has been going to Dr. Fausto for many years. I was not satisfied with my current dentist who always found a way to make me pay extra for one thing or another. Dr. Fausto was right up front with me and walked me thru the procedures so I was well informed. I have a fear of the dentist and was very satisfied with his chair side manner. He asked me many times if I was ok while administering novacain and thru out the procedure. He has a good attitude and his staff treat you with respect! I have been to many doctors and dentists and I have been turned off by the front desk staff, but not at Dr. Fausto's. I would recommend this dentist to all my friends and family. Went in for an evalaution, quoted at $50 over the phone but somehow turned out to be $75. I didn't have insurance and was suggested by the Dentist to get a PPO plan, but in looking into it, an HMO was the less expensive route, this location doesn't take HMO. Good communication with the dentist; explains all the options for work. read more

I've NEVER been TO A BETTER DENTIST EVER! Doctor Fausto is literally concerned about the care of your teeth. He takes the time to listen and address your concerns and is the best with helping you PREVENT any teeth problems. I don't like needles and shots and he is the best at giving them, I can't feel them at all! The staff is always polite and courteous. I have been a patient of Dr. Fausto's for years and a few years ago i moved out of state. I now FLY BACK to California just for my dental work by Dr. Fausto. My family has been helped by Dr. Fausto for years. Unlike other dental offices, they don't offer services you don't need. However, I will say that they need more help. Their business has grown but staffing has remained the same. This means that your appointment will most likely be a month away from the time you schedule it. They do offer same-day (walk in) service for emergencies, but expect a llllooooonnngggg wait. read more

Was having an ordeal w/my implant and Dr Fausto let me come for free. He x-rayed it and took the time to listen. I'm an apartment manager and know my other residents (Freddie) also went to see him. He is kind, does do good work- and a bit funny so it takes the pressure off. As an apartment manager, tenants tell you the best places, and believe me- this is one of them. You can never find a more honest, kind and reputable dentist than Dr. Fausto. Dr Fausto is great, very personable very kind and honest, we have been going to his office for years and never had a complaint, he's always helpful and treats clients like you are his only client . Unfortunately his staff isn't the same way and lack basic customer service skills , scheduling appointments is a complete hassle and they always sound frustrated they either rush you out the phone or say they will call you back and of course they don't , and they can be condescending at times too. I don't think they really care about your business as much as Dr Fausto does , unfortunately it's kind of hard to see him unless you have an appointment. I since moved to LA and still travel down to Torrance for this Dentist because I don't trust anyone else. I think they take like every insurance, I have never received a bill in the mail. i was referred to Dr. Fausto by one of my co-workers because I wasn't satisfied with the prior cleanings i had with my old dentists. what a great decision that was! i was kinda turned off at first by the old looking strip mall he's located at but his dental office is SUPER MODERN compared to any other dental office i've been too. he does superior dental work compared to any of my prior dentists. he spotted a couple of cavities i had, which my prior dentist overlooked and i just had fillings a few months prior. he has a tv for each dental chair so when he's doin work on your teeth, u can look up and watch tv and the xrays are digital on the computer so you can see them as well versus the black and white xray film i'm used to seeing. dr. fausto is super down to earth and easy to talk to. read more

Dr. Charlie is awesome! I've been a patient for 4 years, however the last 2, i've traveled from San Francisco Bay Area to Torrance for all of my work. He's super legit and gentle. He's also friendly and arranges your session so that there is no out of pocket cost for routine visits. The staff is nice, and yes, the strip mall is jank... but it's what's on the inside that matters. See you this Holiday season when i'll be in town! :D read more

I HATE going to the Dentist, but I love Dr. Fausto. Don't let his office deceive you - it's tiny and it's in a non-descript strip mall in Torrance - but he is AWESOME. Finally the search is over for me. Great Dentist. Professional and caring. He will only target the needed work and will take care of it perfectly. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to try him out. I scheduled an appointment, and I wasn't left to wait long either in the waiting room or the treatment room. After a short interview, I was escorted to a state-of-the-art X-ray machine which required fewer 'shots' as it rotated around my skull instead of requiring multiple sessions. That was impressive. Then the Dr came in, and to my great surprise HE did my cleaning... A little unorthodox, but I'll roll with it. Then I asked him what he recommends for my bruxism (nighttime teeth grinding)-- as most everything I've read says to talk to your dentist if you have it longer than 3 months-- and he didn't go over any treatment options, only over-the counter options (which I found disappointing). Overall, while my review sounds great, (excellent service-- I got cleaned by the Dr himself, excellent machinery), for some reason that left me feeling a little less confident instead of feeling well-taken-care of. I didn't feel that it was professional for the dentist to be providing my cleaning, unless of course he explained why... perhaps he thought my teeth were particularly dirty, or he always does for new patients, or his hygienist called in sick, or its part of his philosophy.. I don't know. Additionally, not discussing treatment options for my bruxism-- even expensive ones-- made me feel less confident. The final note of (non)confidence came from the fact that I never received a follow-up postcard reminder to come in. I guess he didn't want my business after all. Perhaps I'm just being snobby, but confidence is important to me. I think I would recommend trying him out, to get your own feel; as for me, I would give it a 30% chance of me being a repeat customer. read more

This is mainly a review for this man as a person. He may be a great dentist but as a human being he's horrible. First off I did not get any dental care from him. I was actually purchasing breakfast from a business next to his. The parking lot is angled so if I'm coming from Vermont and another car comes from Carson and there is one space in the corner you cant see who came first and yes I drove straight into the space. I did not see him but there were also plenty of spaces that he could have turned in to where as that was the closest to me. I did not realize that he was trying to park there. But as I waited for my to go breakfast order he also went in to the restaurant and then preceded to ask me if I was going to be in that space long because I took the space from him. Which immediately made me look at why would he come get breakfast, leave and then try to take my space. Come to find out he's the dentist next door. Can I also mention that the cement block on the parking space clearly has been stenciled with CUSTOMER PARKING. Seeing as how he would technically be there most of the day what kind of person decides to park where he should really be letting his customers park or customers for the rest of the businesses in the plaza and then be a jerk about the space and have to point it out. Did some research and it makes sense, has been charged for fraudulent insurance claims. That's the kind of guy who would take a space for a customer and be a jerk about it. Wouldn't want this guy working on my teeth or having access to my insurance and I will let the rest of my family and friends know too! read more

Broke a tooth, went to a couple of dentists who wanted to sell me an implant at $4K! Dr. Fausto saved my tooth. His office is about 15 miles from my house and I gladly drive the distance. My daughter and my wife are his patients also and we couldn't be happier. read more

Been going to dr. fausto for several years now. After going to a couple Beautician/Dentists/Plastic Surgeons in SoCal who were try to sell me all sorts of whitenings and veneers and implants, etc. A co-worker recommendation led me to Fausto. He is always busy, which i take as a good sign but I'm usually in and out in a reasonable time with a good cleaning and individual attention from the Doc himself. He's definitely upgraded a lot of his equipment which is good and don't shy away from the neighborhood/strip mall he is in...he is very capable and puts personal oral health far above making money on unnecessary operations. I just literally got back home from my visit with Dr. Fausto. It was my first time at his office. I went to him based on the reviews on Yelp and let me say that everything is TRUE. He is awesome. I travel all the way from Sherman Oaks to go to this dentist. Although the wait is usually a month once you make an appointment, I did have an emergency once and they saw me immediately. If you don't like pain I recommend this dentist. He's also really funny and the staff is friendly. read more

I was referred to Dr. Fausto by a co-worker. I went to him for the first time yesterday. I always dread going to the dentist, but must say that I had the best visit yet. He is very friendly and personable and his office hours are very convenient. His staff is great too. I was told by another dentist that I had a cavity and would have to have a permanent cap removed and then replaced and pay $250 out-of-pocket. Dr. Fausto took X-rays thoroughly checked my teeth and discovered that I have no cavities. He took time to sit down and go over every Xray with me and explained what was going on with my teeth and did not require me to pay my deductable, which was a big savings in itself.
