Carlos is a hard working, efficient, nice guy who goes above and beyond for his clients. He completed multiple jobs for me quickly and reasonably priced. I was able to contact him immediately and he started the projects right away. (A huge help!) He always cleaned up, wore his mask, helped me haul trash away, and his communication was great throughout. As you can see in the before and after pictures, he did A LOT of work on my house. He leveled the floors in the back three rooms, installed new flooring, reframed a wall, widened a closet, removed an old loft, installed a sink, installed a moisture block panel behind my shower, installed a water pressure regulator, textured and primed the walls. In the kitchen, he made my vision come to life. He installed cabinets, made and installed my butcher block countertop, installed inset lighting and a pendant light, installed my appliances - including a dishwasher, sink and a garbage disposal, he did the backsplash and put in new outlets. I called Carlos on the Independence Day (7/5/21) Holiday and left a message that I wanted 10 spike strips installed under eaves. I was having difficulty getting rid of feral Pigeons roosting and nesting in those areas. I was surprised that ten minutes later he called and we set up a time to meet 2 hours later. He arrived on time, gave me a quote for the job, which also included replacing 5 smoke detector batteries, and I accepted it. I had purchased screws and he said they were too small and he'd use his. There was also a smaller area that needed to be covered by wire mesh to keep the birds out. He went to the nearby Miner's, purchased the mesh, returned promptly, and began the work with one helper. He completed the job in less than 1 hour, and I am pleased with the result. I would have no reservation in hiring him for future handyman work. read more

I originally called Carlos a couple of days ago to see if he could help me unload some furniture since he had high ratings on Yelp. He was very responsive and we set up time for Monday afternoon/evening. I ended up with an "emergency" on Monday morning and called to see if he could help me out on short notice (which was definitely my fault). When he answered and I explained who I was it felt like he didn't even remember me. I explained what I needed but our call got dropped. I called him back but got voicemail. I even called later and said if I didn't hear back from him in an hour I'd need to find someone else to help me in the morning. Never heard back. My day ended up changing and I didn't need him for the original job, so I called him and again got voice mail. Still never heard back. Disappointing. read more

Another reviewer talked about how he kept saying he was going to come back and finish the work and never did and he did that to me too. There seems to be a pattern. He started out project back at the end of November and he put up crown molding, painted our walls and put a new backsplash in the kitchen and electrical outlets under our kitchen cabinets. He finished most of everything but needed to do touch ups on the paint, backsplash and install the electrical outlet. It was good at first very friendly and respectful but once he left and said he was going to come back he came back a couple times and didn't finish what needed to be done. He kept saying sorry and he feels bad and he was going to come back Multiple times and he would give me times and days but would never show and wouldn't even txt or call. It's been 3 months since he started my project and never got finished. I made the mistake of paying him for the entire job without it being 100% done. He seemed to be a stand up guy at first, but I'm left disappointed. I told him last week I was done and moving on and he txt me saying he would give me some of my money back and that he was sorry, but I haven't seen a dime. read more

Though our project wasn't exactly his specialty, he was very helpful and did a good job. I needed to install a new dishwasher, looked for "handyman near me" on Google, called a couple of people on the list, no one called back. Found Carlos on Yelp, called him,  he picked up the phone right away and came to the house to check it out within a few hours, we agreed to a price, he told me he would come earlier in the morning the next day. Carlos did a great job, installed new and hauled away the old. After he finished installing the dishwasher, I asked him to help me fix my shed ( we put it together ourselves but it wasn't completed, the roof wasn't closing), he went to the back yard right away and fixed it. I honestly hate to leave bad reviews but this is needed! Hopefully it helps some one else not make the same mistake. My husband hired Carlos for a job. I furthered it would be quick easy due to it was only changing a few things around the house. Told us no more then a week. Well day 2 on the job my husband left for work I was home alone with Carlos and one of his employees, he made a very disgusting/disrespectful remake and thought I couldn't hear. I would think twice before hiring. I also some him smoking something not sure if it was a vapor or something with thick smoke and no smell. They both thought they were at the place alone! read more

IiOn addiyion, I hired Carlos Handyman services for several job such as cutting down and removing 2 huge trees, installing ceiling mounted LED lights plus a wall mounted light, squaring up 5 doorways and doors so they could close properly, fixing an irrigation leak and outdoor faucet problem, trimming a palm tree with a chain saw, and even moving a 900lb. fountain from the front yard to the back yard. I hired many handyman before and Carlos is truly the best. I was nothing but satisfied with the entire processes from begging to end. It is very rare to see a crew so professional and genuine work on projects these days. In addition, Carlos has an extremely smart crew that can make things work. You should consider yourself lucky if you are able to get them!! ADDITIONAL NOTES: No matter how big or small the job is, Carlos and his team do more than expected. Fixing the doors worked out great! All of the homes built by this one builder in our development had doorways which were not squared so when the doors were added, they did not close properly or lock. When Carlos fixed the doors he made a point to remove the screws that came with the hardware and replaced them with longer screws that would go deeper into the wall frames and add stability when opening and closing the doors over time. When one of Carlos' crew was fixing the irrigation leak we saw the leak had rotted out the wooden square that the deck was mailed to, so the deck sunk down every time you stepped in that spot. Carlos (one of the crew), dug out and replaced the wood which was not part of the quote, but greatly appreciated. When the fountain was moved, it had dirt caked in the bottom and Carlos made the extra effort of cleaning it out so it looks very nice in its new spot. When installing the lights, Carlos used better wire caps than the ones that came with the lights because they had a better grip to prevent the wired from slipping out of the caps. . read more

Carlos did a great job changing out a very old leaky toilet for us. There were problems under the toilet that he knew what to do and how to fix it. He then had the new toilet installed and rock steady. Where the old one was loose from the floor. Carlos form the start is very respectful and kind. Very fair prices too! We highly recommend him! Its rare that I write a review but I just had to write this review for Carlos Handymen Services. On January 28, 2021 during the midst of a severe rain storm my house ceiling began to leak in several areas of my home the water was literally running down the walls. Being new to the area I called several handyman and roofing services and unfortunately I was not able to find anyone to help us. Until I came across Carlos Handymen Services, Carlos took the call and within minutes he and his crew were at my home fully equipped with tools, machinery, equipment and water mitigating instruments. He promptly accessed the situation, located the source of where the water was entering the premise and performed work to stop the leakage. I needed a door installed. Between the time I ordered the door and it was delivered, Carlos raised the initial quote he gave me. He showed up late the first day, and despite being told he would finish the job, he did not. He had been paid. He has since stood me up several times, once calling to say he'd be late, later calling to say it would need to be the next day; later saying the next week some day after 4:30; the next time that he meant next Thursday not this Thursday but he's a "dumb ass" because he forgot to send the text...three weeks later and he has not finished a job I no longer wish to have him complete. read more
