Doug is great! He's always available to put me on his busy schedule and he gets it done.

Hired Doug to do several small jobs. He was prompt and quick. One job was to attach new toilet seat, very next day seat came all the way off. Called him back and he said something was wrong but he forgot to tell me about it and suggested I buy another new seat read more

Doug's Handyman Service - 2 shelves with brackets - Handyman Near Me - Cayucos, California

Doug was on time and very helpful. Started by removing wet drywall, will be replacing it soon. Will be hiring him again.

These Yelp reviews of Doug are spot on. He's about to finish for me a laundry list of tasks that now, at 79, I find no energy or patience for. He's installed a new bathroom mirror, changed two toilet-seats, fixed two broken risers in my garden irrigation system, replaced a defunct shop light in the laundry room with the newer LED lights, and one or two other minor tasks. He's very efficient and knowledgable so no time is wasted & he is well worth his fees. I have been around a log time and he doesn't fake it like other folks I have hired over the years. read more

I was hesitant to hire Doug due to his hourly rate, but he is well worth it! I sent him a long list and he just got it done! His work is high quality, he cleans up after himself, communicates well and sends a detailed, typed invoice. And best of all, he doesn't overbook himself. A real find! read more

We had Doug mount two TV's and some floating shelves. They both came out great. The shelves were challenging because of the way our home was constructed but Doug did some great work to make sure the shelves were mounted. Would recommend and will definitely hire again. read more

Doug is awesome! We are very happy with his work, and the experience. He is easy to talk and brainstorm with, and follows through well. We hired him to do a couple of projects around the house, the most significant of which was to finish the projects we started of converting a small dog house covered area in the yard to a storage/potting bench area (see picture). It's a beautiful creation, and he worked with us every step of the way. He also helped to convert a small area in the garage so that we could have a new workstation. We gave him a design for a workbench; he followed through with the design accurately. He also completed a few repairs around the house. He's quite creative and diligent, and we highly recommend him to you! Thanks Doug! read more

I had Doug repair a fence at my house. Doug was quick to respond and his price was reasonable. Excellent communication during the job.

Doug did a great job installing a screen door my husband and I tried to do our selves and messed up. He was a prompt and did a great job.

I manage to properties in San Luis Obispo from Oakland so I was so happy to find a handyman that I can trust. Doug is very responsive and professional and handled everything I requested him to do in a timely fashion. My tenants are impressed with his work and his prices are fair. Doug was great. He mounted my tv and did excellent work. He was very responsive and was one time. He worked quickly.

Doug was able to come out the same day and check a roof vent for me and was able to fix it during the same trip. Great guy.

Doug is truly fantastic. He is intelligent, reliable and hard working. We greatly appreciate his services

Doug is a really nice, honest guy. This was our second time hiring him (disposals for two units) and he did a great job each time. He's prompt and professional. It was a real pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend him. I called Doug again, months after I wrote the original review. I had a busted shower head and he immediately made time in his day to help me. He's such a nice guy and does excellent work. He's super professional and extremely trustworthy--and he can fix anything! We're lucky to have him in San Luis. read more

I contacted Doug to do some repairs on a gate. He was on time and got to work right away. He did such a good job, I asked him to return for another, more difficult problem gate. He figured out a way to repair a pretty much destroyed gate and made it like new again. He's reliable and his prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Doug. read more

I recently moved to the central coast and needed someone to inspect and do minor repairs on my roof. Doug came the day of my call and we set a time for his return to do the work. Not only did he do the work below his estimate but he went out of his way to repair other issues he discovered during his visit. He was also on time and didn't leave a mess, but I was most impressed with his helpful attitude and problem solving. read more

I called Doug to get a quote on a drywall repair and he called me back in a couple hours and offered to stop by the next day at a designated time to review the work. I spoke with Doug on the phone and he agreed to come to my home in San Luis Obispo the next morning. He arrived on time and within a few minutes he was working on some of the projects I had for him. He works fast and his suggestions as to how some projects would best be handled were better than mine. Doug is competent, his rates are reasonable, and he works quickly and effectively. read more

I had an emergency drywall project that I called Doug for, after finding him here on Yelp. Although I had a short timeline to work with, and a not very flexible schedule, Doug was able to work with me to get the job done on time, with quality above my expectations. A man of few words, Doug was strictly down to business when he was at my place, which helps to keep his already reasonable rates down. Will definitely be using him again, when the need arises. read more

I feel so blessed to have found Doug on Yelp for our handyman needs! I have peace of mind knowing Doug will take care of our vacation home in Morro Bay. He has touched up paint, installed a fan in the bathroom, installed a metal scratch plate on a door to keep dogs from scratching the wood, checked for leaks from our dishwasher, cleaned our dryer vents etc. He's a jack of all trades. Above all he's honest, fair and reliable! Thanks Doug! read more

I have hired Doug for two different jobs, one simple another more complicated and both jobs were done very well, with attention to detail and great finishing skills. Add his reasonably pricing--partly cause he doesn't goof off on my dime--and you have a handyman that is as good as it gets. read more

I contacted Doug two days ago about fixing a few things. I had previously talked to another "handyman" that told me the project would essentially not be worth his time or my money and that one of the projects couldn't be fixed but would require a whole new door. This is where Doug comes in! He came over the next day (after briefly telling him my problems and sending him a couple of pictures) and fixed everything! He fixed a bi-fold laundry door that had come off the hinges. He fixed a door that a dog had chewed up slightly at the bottom. And a couple of other things. And it took him less than two hours. He has great rates (I am a college student, so I was looking for something relatively cheap.) I couldn't be any happier with his service! read more

I found Doug from searching "handyman" on yelp here. I needed help to get my washer and dryer installed and a large TV mounted on the wall because I don't have any of the tools to do. First, Doug came and installed the Washer and dryer and mounted my TV within 2 hours. He was speedy and quiet. However after a while a smelled gas and realized the dryer was leaking gas. I called Doug back up and he came to fix up his work and didn't charge for labor! I Highly recommend you call Doug. He has a minimum charge of $75 for labor. read more

Really liked working with Doug. He took out two wall lights, moved the location, installed new fixtures then patched and painted the area affected. He was super clean. And price was really right. I paid him $210 vs an electrician who said cost would be over $600 and that I would have to get someone else in to install drywall and patch affected area to match existing surface. Highly recommended. read more
