Very happy with the place. I had a nail in my tire ( 4 inch nail ), so I had to order a new tire and mount the spare. I went to Carlos to mount the tire and they were great. The mounted it on the rim and put it on my car and helped me stow the collapsable spare. All and all, I was in and out in 20 minutes. I got a flat tire on my commute into the city & had to find a place that was open after 7pm. I found Carlos on Yelp, open 24/7 & tried them. I pulled up & assumed they were closed, called & two men stepped out (don't assume they're closed, just pull alongside up front of the store - they must truly be 24/7!) I told them I had a nail in my tire & they immediately gathered the tools & in under 2 minutes my tire was off the car & in their shop. One of the gentlemen came out to show me the huge screw that had lodged into my tire while the other one patched my tire. All in, it was maybe 7 minutes total. Then I asked for the price expecting a significant figure due to the nighttime hour & speed at which it was complete & they said $15, which I made them repeat due to my shock. A pothole popped my tire and 20 minutes later the spare I put on was nearly flat too. So I came to Carlos' based on the high Yelp score and cheap deals but the guy comes out and says to get a USED tire will cost me 60 dollars CASH!!! I explained to the guy that Yelp said it should cost less than half that but the guy wouldn't budge or explain himself. At that point my girlfriend and I were late for dinner and I just needed to get a new tire and get out of town... so I paid the guy and my wallet felt about as flat as my tire. I also speak Spanish and two of the three guys referred to my girlfriend and I in racist terms. Do not support this place. read more

Great service, there was no wait when I got there at 10am on a Saturday. The guy showed me the nail in my tire, fixed it within 6 minutes. I am not exaggerating, from the time I pulled up to the curb until I left it was only 6 minutes! Couldn't have been any better....seriously!! I live on 35th street on the East Side and had brand new tires put on by Mavis tire earlier in the week. 2 days later my front left tire went flat.....ughh. Drove over to Carlos Jr., keep in mind that I drive a Mercedes truck and in the back of my mind I'm thinking (Mercedes Truck + In a bind = $$$$$). Turns out the leak in the tire was coming from the "high tech" tire plug/sensor. These guys had the part (saved me an appointment with Mercedes & the cost of ordering the part from Mercede$. Luckily at the gas station a bunch of taxi drivers told her to go across the street to fix her flat and that alllll the taxi drivers go there. She was back home in 10 mins. I was like what the..how did you get home so fast. She said they found 2 nails and patched it within 3 mins. I was thinking that is impossible but she did get home really fast. Stopped by tonight to get a flat fixed. Caesar was very friendly, explained the problem with my tire, and had everything fixed within 15min. He also told me exactly what part I needed to order to get my tire pressure sensor fixed so that I wouldn't have to spend over $200 at the dealer. The guys were courteous and nice -- I liked how they were dressed in blue mechanics uniforms that said "Carlos Tire Shop" on them -- which made it feel a bit more organized some how. My car had the small sized spare on, and without asking they put it back in the weird place under the vehicle which I did not know how that was done. I gave them a $5 tip. read more
