Senior Oasis is by far the most well run home facility in our area. It is extremely clean and the staff is very kind, patient and thoughtful. Every time I'm there to help one of the residents I always want to stay to eat because the home made fresh food smells amazing. I have gotten to know the owners over the years and they are incredibly kind. Highly recommend this establishment.

We spoke to the owner, Gabriela, an LVN, about specific physical issues that my sister was having. She assured us that they could provide a safe and comfortable environment for her and give her the care she needed. We noticed how lively and friendly the caregivers, Joe and Dina, were as they went about their duties cooking and cleaning and caring for the residents who were out in the dining area. There was background music playing and the facility seemed bright and welcoming. The aroma from the kitchen, where the evening meal was being prepared, was inviting. My sister quickly adapted to the structure and routine and said she was happy there. After falling and injuring herself numerous times at the previous assisted living facility, she fell only once at Senior Oasis. Joe and Dina got to know my sister quickly, and notified us when they saw something unusual in her behavior and demeanor. We took her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. Gabriela opened a sister facility, Senior Oasis 2, shortly after and asked if we would like to send my sister there. It was a spacious and well appointed facility with an upscale home feel. Joe and Dina were transferring there, so our sister said she wanted to go too. She lived there for the remainder of her life - Gabriela, Joe and Dina and the other Senior Oasis caregivers adapted and adjusted to her worsening health and eased her into hospice care. We are very fortunate to have found Senior Oasis and Gabriela and her team. They provided the highest quality care and comfort for my sister during the last year of her life...and we are forever grateful. Thank You so much!!!

My mother had the unfortunate experience of staying at this facility in the assisted living side…read more The first week she was there she was abused by a care staff on the midnight shift. She was so traumatized by this experience her demeanor drastically changed. After complaining, I thought it would get better, but it didn't. Quite often the staff would not respond to the call button even though the policy is to respond within twenty minutes. Often it would be hours. My mother would call me and ask me to call the facility and ask that they go to her room. My family decided to put a video camera in her room. I discussed it with the Executive Director Julie and she tried to intimidate me and talk me out of it saying the care staff would not go into my mother's room because of the camera. The other staff told me I have a right to place a camera in her room. I thought the camera would deter the staff from bad behavior but she was abused again by a care staff on the midnight shift. She was cold hearted and completely disinterested in caring for my mother. What kind of sick twisted person treats a senior like this? The midnight shift does not have any supervision. They can do what ever they want. My mother was at the highest level of care to include two hours checks whether she presses her call button or not. My mother constantly called me for help because they were not responding. The facility will tell you that they can handle a resident at a high level of care but they can't. Forty two residents and two care staff. They are not staffed properly on any shift to care for residence that need more care. It's just impossible, although they will tell you they can. A few of the care staff confided in me about the poor management. Seeing her abused on video was horrific for my family. After two months of this I decided to move my mother to another care facility. The Executive Director Julie never reached out to me at all during this two month stay until she found out I was moving my mother to another facility. At that time, she came to my mother's room to talk me out of it. All she cares about is resident head count and profits. She has no business working in this capacity or running any facility that cares for senior. I do not recommend this facility. I was naïve in choosing this facility when I visited and didn't know how to do my research. It's too bad I made this mistake, and I want to help you make better decisions for your loved ones. No matter which facility you are considering I have two suggestions. 1. You can research any facility on the state website at: ccld.dss.ca.gov/carefacilitysearch. I was surprised how many people did not know about this site. Any complaints about the facility will be listed. Even if an allegation was not substantiated someone still saw a problem and filed a complaint. They just may not have had adequate evidence. Which leads me to my next suggestion. 2. In the state of California, you are legally allowed to place a video camera in your loved one's room. A facility might try to talk you out of it or be strongly against it. If they are, that is probably not the right place for any loved one. My mother and my family have been so traumatized by this experience. My hope is that no other person goes through this same experience.

We experienced the care provided by Assisted Living/Memory Care in two other facilities that were woefully and heartbreakingly substandard until we were blessed to find Pacifica in Chino Hills. Everyone we interacted with at Chino Hills was top shelf and sincere in their care for the residents. We cannot emphasize enough how important this is. They truly care. We did extensive research and visited several other senior living facilities in the area before selecting Pacifica and were impressed with their leadership, their memory care director (Vida), their med techs, their caregivers, their activity directors, and their receptionists. The facility is always kept clean and welcoming. It felt like home. We will eternally be grateful to everyone there for the loving care they provided to our Mom in the last years of her life.
