It was a Thursday, which happens to be my busiest workday. Between two meetings, I stepped out to grab a sub from Jersey Mike's for lunch. Within the same plaza is this Caribou Coffee. This Caribou Coffee is across from Chick-Fil-A. It has a drive-thru. It's also the second-closest Caribou from the hotel where I typically stay when I'm in Eagan. After grabbing my sub, I got in my car and drove around the building to hit the Caribou drive-thru. I had the nicest woman on the other end take my order. I was in town to see Caribou launch its espresso shakers (they are iced) that you can get with oat beverage. They are so good. I ordered a large vanilla espresso shaker with oat beverage. I gave the woman my phone number associated with my reward points. Done! I headed to the window. This woman and I had the nicest conversation while she ran my credit card through the system to pay for my drink. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. She handed me my drink in a larger cup. She called me love, which I haven't heard in a long time. It was cool. I wished her a great day. She reciprocated. I drove back to the hotel to have lunch and enjoy my vanilla espresso shaker. I drank it during my team meeting. It was the highlight of my meeting. It was so creamy and delicious. I am not a coffee drinker, but this drink is perfect. The vanilla balances out the coffee flavour nicely. I love it so much. It's icy, smooth, and yummy. I am craving one right now. Canada needs Caribou Coffee. It's nice to know that there are two Caribou Coffee locations in Eagan that I like. I look forward to returning for more yummy beverages. (100) read more

We had great service at this Caribou. It was the only Eagan Caribou that was open on a Monday afternoon, after stopping at 3 others. (We called the Duckwood location, and were told they were open minutes before our arrival. We walked in and basically get chewed out by the guy behind the counter, saying his lobby isn't open. No drive though, and was told by another customer that she couldn't order via the app. I told the man that we'd just called and were told they were open. He said it was him and he was busy. Also there were so many rude men blocking the lobby exit that seemed to be part of a gathering that was spray painting political signs near parked vehicles. They ignored polite requests to let us by so we could get out. Very bizarre experience all the way around.) Anyways, so happy to find this Caribou and receive friendly and helpful customer service, and deliciously prepared beverages. It was a blessing in disguise to have had the bad experience at Duckwood. This location is much easier to park at and access, and is a much more spacious and inviting space in every way. Normally we go to the Cliff road location, which is always fantastic in every way, but will definitely stop in at this Caribou when I'm out in that area. read more

Waited to be helped because staff were doing closing duties 1.5 hours early. While we ordered, the staff was short and rude. After we ordered, we received our coffee pretty quick, but we heard the staff say to another staff that 'I didn't make the bagels' as he was mopping. A different staff finished our order. read more

Before you continue, I am NOT MAD at what they charged, I could care less because at the end of the day the employees don't make the rules and every coffee shop operates differently. I am APPALLED at how I was shooed away with a bullshit answer / lie about what was in my cup. To irritate a customer before they have their morning coffee is unfortunate! All jokes aside, I didn't know the best way to describe my usual order from another coffee shop (Dunn Brothers off of Diffley) so I pulled up to the drive through and was honest - "Good morning, I have the free drink comp and I usually get 12 double shots of espresso black from Dunn Brothers. If your shots are double shots, I'd like 12, if not I'd like 24. Usually it comes in their largest cup." Had to repeat my order to a woman who sounded irritated and said she was going to charge me for 6 Large espressos. I told her I just wanted 1 ginormous espresso drink. After her huffing and puffing over the loudspeaker I had to reiterate I did not want 6 separate drinks, to just throw it into their largest hot cup. She said "24 shots won't fit in our largest cup, we don't have a cup that big" - that's fine. I told her to fit as many espresso shots into their largest cup. She said she'd get started. When I pulled up to the window for my "free drink", I was waiting there for a hot minute. There was a young gentleman, young lady, and older woman all hovering around the drive through window. The young cashier told me my total was 6.86, cool. You have to charge for extra espresso shots, NO BIG DEAL. When I asked how many shots were able to fit in there, she told me 10. The older woman quickly blurted over her "all 24 are in there" and I could tell she was trying to shoo me away from their window as quickly as possible. They ended up charging me for 2 large espressos and a small espresso (10 shots). The cheapest drink (small espresso) was the "free drink". 1) I don't mind paying for add ons to my drink, but the staff for future reference should let people know that "any beverage, any size" means no add ons - why call it "any"? And that you will only take off the least amount for the discount if you do spice up your order outside of their basic drinks. 2) Why would you lie and say you were able to fit 24 shots in there when my partner went back to order a large espresso just to see how much "four shots" look like and it looked like a little under half of the drink I had, so there's no way you honestly fit 24 shots into my cup. THIS is the reason I was very displeased with my visit. For a what I assumed would be a manager to lie and say, "yeah we got it all in there" just to make a customer shut up and leave (we all have worked food service and have either witnessed or done it ourselves to save face from and angry customer or confrontation) is disgusting. I would have rather been told "hey, this is a different order than what we normally do so I did my best to accommodate your wants while staying within our statues of limitations when it comes to the rewards program and was only able to fit 10 shots in there." Again, maybe it's because it's before my morning coffee but that plus the fact the staff there lied to my face, insulting my intelligence, making me feel as if they think I'm stupid, which will lead me to never come back to this caribou again which is unfortunate. Part of me wanted to cancel my order and say never mind and drive off to My Dunn Brothers where I know they get my order right EVERY time, but My account was already taken the 140 points out so I had no choice, but I definitely won't be back anytime soon and for now recommend people to take that 5 minute drive to Dunn Brothers off of Diffley! read more

I frequent this establishment often, mostly because I like the coffee and because it's a convenient location. That being said, the service and order accuracy leaves A LOT to be desired. This place will be out of business the moment another decent coffee joint opens in the same neighborhood unless they can pull it together. I recently accepted a transfer to our office in Eagan after working in the Roseville area for the past 17 plus years. This is exciting for a foodie like myself as I get the opportunity to check out some new locations in an area that I haven't been to very often. Of course I've got to do some work too, but I'll sure check out the area too. As Maverick says in Top Gun, "This is what I call a target rich environment." Although Maverick and I are I targeting different targets if you know what I mean. Anyhow I'm not a big coffee drinker but I love a good chai tea. So I noticed that this coffee and bagel place was just a couple of blocks from my office. I love convenience. They are located in a little strip mall. You actually have to circle the strip mall to get into line for the drive thru. I like the concept of having bagels and coffee in the same location. So on a rather cool Minnesota morning I thought I would pick up a nice hot chai tea. I can't drink hot liquids when the temperature is above 65 degrees. Drop below that level and hot drinks, chili, and soups became my favs. Well while my stop was not that quick, I feel that I need to make more stops to get an accurate assessment of this place. It was 8:15 in the morning and there was a nice line at the drive thru. It probably took 5 minutes to get through. Not expecting a line at a coffee and or bagel place in the morning is like not expecting a line at McDonald's at lunch time. I don't know that they were all that slow as they were busy. The gentleman that helped me was friendly and they had my chai tea ready when I pulled up to the window. I enjoyed my treat and will definitely return to check this place out some more. Great food and drinks. Normally receive good service but today we were a little disappointed. We asked Ashley if the food on the counter was for us (we work at caribou and know that people take food that doesn't belong to them) and instead of a simple yes she's rude and disrespectful to us. If you go to this location, expect to wait in line at least 30 minutes. I have no idea what is going on in that store, but you wait literally forever. Today the line was only 3 cars long, I pulled up to the speaker and it took 5 minutes for someone to even answer the speaker to order. With 3 cars in line, I still didn't get my coffee until 20 minutes later and when I got to the window they asked me what my order was. I got my coffee handed to me with coffee dripping all down the sides. If I pay $5 for a coffee, it better not be leaking all over my car. If you cannot handle 3 car orders at a time, something is seriously wrong. This location has taught me that I can brew my coffee at home. read more

I would rather walk a mile to Brueggers (which is right up the street) through 18" of slushy snow, with no jacket, below zero temp and on New Year's Eve sober, then go here again. After about 12 times of giving this location a shot, we are throwing the towel in. Service is terrible. They have messed up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone there. I really, really want to LOVE this place but I just can't. I am out the door at 5am to drop my kid off at daycare and make it to downtown Minneapolis at 6. I'm THRILLED this location opens at 5 but the service even being the first car to order for the day takes so, so long. I'm often there at the drive thru at 5:01 and am not pulling out until at least 5:06. My order? It's always the same-small coffee and bagel with schmear. Nothing too complicated. Yes, I'll continue to go here to treat myself a couple times a week. I just know the days I do I need to start those days with patience. read more

Well, what others are saying is true! Terrible service and long wait times. People in drive through are currently waiting 7-8 minutes and I stood in line for 8 minutes (with 3 people in line). Terrible service at this location. I ordered ahead 2 breakfast sandwiches and requested asap. I arrived 5 min later, there were no other customers waiting for their orders, so I stood and waited for 10 minutes, noticing a open bag sitting on the counter out of my reach with no name on it. After the girl behind the counter put down her cellphone, I asked if the bag was my order. She said yes and closed the top and handed it to me. I told her I have been waiting 10 minutes and asked why the bag wasnt placed on the pickup counter. She apologized and offered to remake the order, but my then I was so pissed I grabbed my now cold sandwiches and walked out. read more

The staff is very nice, the bagels are good and the coffee is Caribou. All good things. But, try finding a place to sit and eat/drink. At a recent visit, the three large tables, the several small tables and the bar seating were 80% occupied by laptop readers, phone scanners and two college students doing homework. Only two people had a Caribou drink or a bagel. Some had personal water bottles I stead of store drinks. It's too much to ask the kids working the store to suggest people to move on after a couple hours. Maybe signage suggesting if you taking up a table, it's because you're a customer. But all the lingerers cost the owners money. Had we stayed and eaten in we would've bought coffees for the road. read more

An order of one bagel with cream cheese and a small hot beverage should NEVER take more than ten minutes when there is no line. When I made an order, the "girl" took my money then observed someone she knew at the drive thru window and ran over screaming at the top of her lungs that she hadn't seen her in so long. I understand you have to hire young kids to work, but shouldn't you have a rule concerning texting while at the counter or in the eye of the customer. Horrible!!! The first time through the drive thru took over 10 minutes. The coffee was good, the bagels terrible. I decided to give them another shot thinking maybe it was just because they had just opened. This time again I waited close to 10 minutes. When I got up to the window the girl could not remember which coffee was decaf. She turned around with both coffees and said which one is decaf? She then turned back to me and said I'm pretty sure this one is the decaf. Normally I wouldn't mind as much, but I am pregnant and it is important to keep track of how much caffeine you intake. I can't go here anymore. I've tried the drive-thru three times on the way to work in the past two months and it's just not worth it. It's so convenient; close to home, on the way to work, but it's just too slow. Typically there are only 1-2 cars in front of me when I order, which is great, because by the time I pull up to the window to pay, the cars have departed. The problem is when I pull up to the window, I can see inside and the three employees I can see (and hear) are chatting while I can see my order sitting on the counter. The girl who takes my money is always standing there holding an empty paper bag. "I've already paid. Please just put my stuff - sitting right there - in the bag so I can go to work," I say to myself. It takes easily another five minutes for her to put my item(s) in the bag so I can drive away. If it were busy, or if my order wasn't ready, I would understand - but I can see everything - siting right there. Just bag it and hand it to me! It's just not worth the long wait. Also, I ordered and ham and cheese breakfast sandwich and I have no idea what I really got. It was gross. It was a cold bagel with hummus or pesto or something, lettuce, tomato, wayyyy too much going on there.
