The vibes, decor, overall environment was welcoming. Food was delicious! We got BYO omelette and Cheese risotto cake with braised beef short ribs. Both were cooked to perfection and flavors aplenty. Not overly salted which many places can be. The perfect portion size that we didn't even need to take anything to go. Honestly impressed. Even more cool is they try to source ingredients locally when they can so it's helping our community. Very excited to have found this place and will be back for more! We did try some of their specialty drinks and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu whenever we get the chance. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.

Did I mention that the portions are generous and the prices are amazingly reasonable? What more can you expect from a restaurant? (Maybe that they stay open for dinner). This is maybe the most enthusiastic a review as I have ever written, and that is because Apple Valley Pancake has earned it. BTW, this experience was not a "one off ". Well, Mateo's is my favorite decided to give Apple Valley a chance and it took a little bit longer for a salad with chicken not real busy. Service was just OK. They never checked on the food. Had an ask for an extra plate two times even though I told him we were splitting the meal. The chicken was just black so I will stay with the truth and be loved Mateo's.

The restaurant is comfortable with spacious booths and tables spread nicely through several dining areas. The service has always been solid and the food has been tasty and reasonably priced. Today, I had breakfast with a friend. We were seated promptly and received our coffees (and a carafe) shortly after. The menu isn't as huge as some breakfast places but offers something for everyone. You can also get lunch starting at 10 AM. I've had their breakfast buffet (check for hours), their cinnamon rolls and several breakfast items. They have always been appropriately prepared. Today, I had their eggs Benedict. The hashbrowns accompanying the meal were fantastic. The flavor was good; however, my eggs were harder than requested. My friend had the kielbasa/sausage, which looked good too. Our server was attentive and helpful. If you are in the area, this is a tried and true restaurant!

I didn't have enough time to explore more of the menu, but I'd definitely come back to try some of their other breakfast options. Do not order the eggs benedict, three of us at the table ordered different variations of this dish and were all disappointed (zero texture, extra soggy, no flavor, too much hollandaise sauce). Do not order the eggs benedict on the potato pancakes if you are hungry, the potato pancakes were as thin as a dime and the size of my hand. I left hungry and went home to eat. The one person who didn't order the eggs benedict loved their food. The rest of the food that was coming out looked great, I think we just ordered the wrong dishes. He had trouble picking his alternate dish since his 2nd choice was catfish....and the way they serve it here is whole which he doesn't want to work for his food. It was in a very unassuming location but was so cute and old school inside, it brought me back. I sat at the counter and got an order of pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were amazing. The bacon was a little too thin and crispy for my taste but I still love bacon. This was a great spot!
