    Chicken roti
    DrDuru A.

Tasted like the real deal to me. I had a chicken Patty and chicken roti. It's been hard to find roti, so I was particularly happy to see it on the menu. It didn't disappoint. Tender and flavorful chicken served in a soft "shell". The plantain was sweet and fried right. The chicken patty was a little short on the chicken, but it tasted oh so good!

I always have a great experience when I order. The owner is so nice and staff very friendly. I've been coming here for years and love it every single time I can't complain. Although I always take my food to go, o can't speak on the dining in aspect. I always order their beef patties and a large curry chicken platter. The large curry chicken platter comes with rice and peas, steamed and seasoned cabbage and plantains. I believe the price is around $14 and I totally think it's worth it! So much flavor and great texture, this meal never fails me. This is truly my go to place whenever I want an authentic Caribbean meal. Thank you so much to the staff for being so pleasant and kind and for the wonderful dishes that are made.

I love supporting small businesses and this little hole in the wall had such delicious food. The two women working there were so sweet and nice. I got the curry goat and it was so much food and so delicous. Totally recommend!

I must admit that this meal hit the spot. We were making some t-shirts up and decided to try this spot. We got an order of Jerk Chicken and Stew Chicken. I was impressed with the levels of spices and flavors of the chicken was just perfect. The rice, the steamed cabbage was just awesome. The stew chicken was great too. Will definitely order from here again.

    Supposedly Fried Dumplings.

The Dumplings are so hard you can use them as baseballs. I grew up on this very well cooked food. I ordered this as a surprise for my mom for Easter. I wonder how the main meal will be.

    Whiting sandwich

The food tastes was authentic, but the whiting sandwich was put on a large bun with/unbelievable dried up small pieces of whiting.

Ordered for lunch. Good serving size for the smaller size, very well seasoned and always good.

My food was very yummy! My whiting fish was very well seasoned and flavorful. I like my plantains soft and sweet, however, the plantains were right in the middle of being hard/soft. I will return the next time I'm in the area.

The 4 pieces of oxtail I received when I ordered a LARGE oxtail meal for $20.00
    giselle f.

I visited this establishment looking for quality Jamaican food, and I was so disappointed with what I received. I ordered a large jerk chicken without sides for 15.00 (whether you accept the sides that come with the chicken or not, the price is the same), a large oxtail with sides (rice, plantain, cabbage), for 20.00, and two bottled drinks which cost 6.00. When I looked at the paper menu and what was showing on the tv screen, I noticed that the prices of the items were not at all what was quoted to me by the woman behind the counter. I don't know if the increased prices that I were charged were specific to me, or due to a recent increase, I have no way to tell. At any rate, when I received my food, I noticed the bag holding the items looked small but I figured everything was just packed in there. Well, lo and behold, I get to my car only to discover that I paid $15.00 to receive TWO PIECES of jerk chicken...TWO! Furthermore, the chicken was lukewarm which says to me that it was probably warmed up in the microwave prior to giving it to me, and had a strong vinegar taste to it. The oxtail meal only had FOUR PIECES in the meal AND it was burnt! I was so upset I couldn't even enjoy the meal knowing I spent $41.00 on it and barely got reasonable portions! I'm all for paying for good food, but I find it ridiculous what I received versus what I paid for! This is completely unacceptable!

Vegetarian plate. Canbage, rice and beans, plantains.

Great food! Very nice owners. Only reason not 5 stars is the fact they sometimes they dont have certain items on the menu and it usually takes a while to actually get your food.. Although you may have to wait and I understand not everyone has the time to wait, what you receive makes up for it.. Very authentic jerk and the rice plantains and cabbage are all as good as it gets.. The jerk is hot so beware.. So if you have some time and want some Jamaican home cooking I advise you to stop in and grab some Jamaican pattys and one of their entrees..

It was the perfect size for two. The meat melted in your mouth, and the sauces were incredibly flavorful and not too spicy. We also split a very nice bread pudding for dessert. I had: Jerk chicken tacos - 5/5 Crab fried rice - 4/5 Fried Chicken- 5/5 (amazing! Seasoned and fried perfectly) Definitely recommend this spot and would go back if I'm in the area!

At a Thai spot, I expect to see Thai people. At a Mexican spot, I expect to see Mexicans. You get the picture. So at this Haitian restaurant, there are always Haitians enjoying the food -- which tells you everything you need to know. If you're looking for an upscale yet still authentic Haitian restaurant, this is it. No matter what you order, they always start you off with a soup that's hot, rich, and flavorful. I usually begin with the Haitian caviar and smoked fish empanadas, then move on to either the Saveur Creole goat or the red snapper -- always with extra gravy, because I can't resist pouring it over their black rice (don't judge me). It's BYOB, so bring your drink of choice or grab something from the shop right next door. Another thing I love is that the owner, Robert, is usually there. He'll stop by your table, talk with you, and make the meal feel like a real experience. And if you admire the artwork on the walls -- he painted all of it himself. If you go, tell him I sent you... maybe then he'll finally sell me one.
