Plenty of parking in the back. I called before arriving to see if there was a wait but the young lady let me know it wasn't. The place is BIG so if you need a private room, this is the place to go. The food and drinks were definitely on point. The empanadas were a little on the hard side but the wings were great! I will definitely be coming back to this place.

I'd heard a lot about Bacchanal Junction, so I was excited to try it out. Located along the border of East Orange and Bloomfield, it can easily be missed when driving past since the area looks residential. There is a small parking lot that gets full pretty fast on a Saturday evening, so parking on the street may be the only option. Upon entry, I felt like I had been transported to the tropics. Caribbean music was popping (at the perfect volume), and the decor was certainly serving island vibes. Our server, Phil, was attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. He made many great recommendations since it was our first time dining there. To start, I had the garlic parmesan jerk wings, and this was one of the best things I ate all year. The wings were crispy, juicy, and all of the flavors melded together perfectly. Plus, the order of six had an equal number of drums and flats, so it was good for sharing. The wings are included in the happy hour specials, so I will definitely be back for them. The cocktail that I had was a 10/10. The lychee lagoon was sweet, but not too sweet, and had a lovely subtle fizz from the prosecco. I also tried the rum punch, which was fantastic as well. It was fruity but packed a punch with the blend of Caribbean rums. The specialty cocktail menu is divided into sweet, spicy, sour, refreshing, and dessert sections, so there is something available to fit your mood. For my entrée, I had the stewed kingfish with black rice and plantains. The fish was tender, the plantains were perfect, and the black rice was flavorful. The portion was sizable, so I had plenty to take home. My partner had the rasta pasta with chicken, which was also a huge portion and tasted fantastic. I wish Bacchanal had a dessert menu because I would absolutely have loved to end the evening on a sweet note. At 8 pm, the live DJ comes and plays a variety of music, so it would have been nice to have stayed longer to enjoy the vibes. All in all, I had a fantastic meal and will definitely be back since there are many specials throughout the week.

Came here for my cousin's networking event on the last Thursday of the month. I ordered the strawberry lemon drop, salmon bites, & yucca fries --- tore my food up. Lolol My cousin wasn't a fan of the fries & I wasn't either. Had a strange after taste to me, but she liked her wings & her drink. Bartender was accommodating & patient with all of our demands. We met the owner as well & he was cool too. This is a real nice happy hour, date night, gurls/guys night spot. I'd give it a solid 4.5.

Great service nice location there's parking in the back and good space. The music is great and drinks are sooo good

Came to Bacchanal for the first time recently and my experience was a bit underwhelming. I love that they have a private parking lot in the back because parking in that area is a headache. We enjoyed the happy hour rum punch, it was strong ! I also loved how there was a DJ. I did not love the oxtail and Rasta pasta. I felt they could have used more seasoning.

Bacchanal Junction was such a vibe. I met one of my besties here late night for a drink and even though I had already eaten beforehand, the energy alone made the stop worth it. The music was on point and the overall atmosphere was fun, lively, and exactly what you want for a late-night linkup.

It was a quiet Labor Day in the neighborhood so the service was quick. The decor is trendy and upscale with a live DJ on the floor. The passion fruit drink was the first thing up and it was delicious. The appetizers were definitely filling. The wings had flavor and there was a generous amount of well seasoned salt-fish on the plantains. As for the entrees, the jerk salmon was very tasty but if you are looking for spicy food then this dish is not it. Lucky for me, I can't handle spicy so it was perfect. The oxtail was soft and the large portion made for great leftovers. Some of the menu items did not match up with the website so I plan to go back for brunch and try something new.

Came here on a weekday evening. The place was pretty empty, maybe like 10 people. It was karaoke night as well. We ordered some juices and food. I ordered the jerk salmon and my family ordered the chickpeas and rice and peas. Everything came out pretty quickly. My only complaint was that my salmon was burnt, like burnt burnt. And the mac and cheese wasnt good. Otherwise the food was pretty ok.

Really nice set up! Service was great and the food was delicious. Easy parking at the back parking lot as well. Caribbean ambiance besides the food was the music and color theme of the restaurant.

I must say that this is my first time at bacchanal Junction ,we celebrated my plus one birthday party and I must see that the food was so good. It's mostly Caribbean and the portion size is so much. I have to end up taking food home.... The service was awesome and the staff was so great. The ambience is chill, relaxed and the lighting is dim, I had so much fun at this spot definitely will be going back and thanks to the DJ. The music was on fire. I'm not a dancer and I must say that I was dancing. I had so much fun thank you...

Came here on a Friday night with a friend after we made reservations a couple of hours before. There was street parking and small lot parking around the corner. We were greeted and seated as soon as we came in. Our server was Paris and he was an absolute gem, full of smiles and very courteous and attentive. He suggested the house redrum sangria and we both enjoyed it very much. We ordered the calamari, it was fried too hard for my taste but the accompanying sauce was really good. I ordered the jerk chicken rasta pasta. The jerk chicken was a chicken breast and was very moist and tasty. However, not enough rasta in the pasta. It was a tad bland. My friend ordered the stew king fish with rice. She wasnt a big fan of the fish. Overall a good experience. The restaurant is a really good size with space for a private event. The ambiance is clean lines with great tropical vibes.

At a Thai spot, I expect to see Thai people. At a Mexican spot, I expect to see Mexicans. You get the picture. So at this Haitian restaurant, there are always Haitians enjoying the food -- which tells you everything you need to know. If you're looking for an upscale yet still authentic Haitian restaurant, this is it. No matter what you order, they always start you off with a soup that's hot, rich, and flavorful. I usually begin with the Haitian caviar and smoked fish empanadas, then move on to either the Saveur Creole goat or the red snapper -- always with extra gravy, because I can't resist pouring it over their black rice (don't judge me). It's BYOB, so bring your drink of choice or grab something from the shop right next door. Another thing I love is that the owner, Robert, is usually there. He'll stop by your table, talk with you, and make the meal feel like a real experience. And if you admire the artwork on the walls -- he painted all of it himself. If you go, tell him I sent you... maybe then he'll finally sell me one.
