This place is ridiculously good! You can tell they put love into their food! The food is seasoned without being salty! The food is hot and fresh. I ordered the oxtail and the chef added extra gravy on it without me even asking!! The beef patty taste homemade and had a lot of meat filling! Food is cooked to order. The red snapper was a good size and fresh as well! I came with my aunt and mother and everyone (all picky eaters) gave this place a 10/10. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for! This place is blessed by the LORD and you can taste it in the food! read more

Beef patty?! Yes, yes, yes! So good. But they sell out so soon. Oxtail dinner was also good. Steamed cabbage and sweet plantains were ordered on the side and they also were great. read more

Found this gem deep in monks corner on the way to the DMV. It's tucked in the back a bit but we found it quite easy. There was only one other table in there besides us which can sometimes be worrying. The decor was very true to the Jamaican culture but definitely could use an update to liven the place. We ordered 2 jerk chicken meals and Miss Shareen brought the food out to us. She was very nice and checked on us. The collard greens were delicious and cooked perfectly! Everything was flavorful, chicken was tender and plantains were juicy. I feel like this place could do really well in a better location to draw in more customers because their food is so good. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back! read more

Went for lunch so the wife could have her beloved Coconut Shrimp, she said they were excellent. The music at this place was nonstop, but very enjoyable to us vintage souls. I had the jerk chicken but I wanted the jerk chicken salad, I guess they were out of salad. Our waitress was very accommodating and nice, I believe she may have been one of the owners. All in all a very nice experience. I asked when they have dancing and she said tonight. They were doing a good takeout business, which also says something. read more

I wasn't aware there is two Caribbean Delight until yesterday. Although I've ordered several times by phone, I never was told. "Thank you for Caribbean Delight North Charleston " or MONCKS CORNER. When I called yesterday, Caribbean Delight with a tone of incompetence and Inefficient. The women NEVER state the location, so 20 minutes later, my husband went inside CD Moncks Corner. Only to find out the order was at the other CD IN NORTH CHARLESTON. I don't know what she said to my husband, but I asked you to wait and order now? With a Swift NO! We are never coming here again. I don't appreciate the way spoke to me. I reached out to the company for reparation. Omar response within minutes and offered me a free meal. Will you believe the same phone issue happen again. But Worst! I called, the woman said, "Caribbean Delights, please HOLD. " I could hear the restaurants in the background for the 6 minutes and 36 seconds I was on the HOLD. Once the woman returned, I asked, " What time do you close?" "We close at 10 pm, but we take our LAST ORDER at 9:30 pm." I asked to speak to Omar. I asked him was that the young woman working the counter yesterday. Omar stated he couldn't release her identity!! At this point, he missed customers service 101. It looks like multiple locations, and it will be wise to say what site a person is calling. To avoid further confusion in the future. Your food might taste better than the other spot down the street. But no one is coming to a place, wait for long waits and HORRIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE. Lastly, I declined your offer for the free meal. I will change my review and NEVER VISIT OR RECOMMENDED Caribbean Delights to anyone! read more

Caribbean Delight - So sad! - Caribbean Near Me - Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Jerk chicken was the worst. No sauce dry as can be. Disappointed to say the least. They can do better.

Please, do yourself a flavor (ha!) and try this restaurant. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine, you don't need to look any further than Caribbean Delight. A local business owner pointed us to this restaurant, and I'm very glad she did. I was intrigued to see how well the restaurant executed on curry goat. They executed VERY WELL! The goat was tender and delicious. The curry contained the right amount of heat for a "non-spicy dish." The cabbage side elevated the meal. The rice with beans was not dry or bland. (I would venture to say they provide a little too much of this, but not by sacrificing the amount of the other items!) The plantains were decent. The chef was very friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. Should I happen to be in this area in the future, I'll absolutely be keeping this restaurant top of mind when considering where to eat! read more

Passing thru and stopped for lunch. Terrific curry chicken, amazing greens, beautiful friendly service.

This food is amazing. Called in my order with ease and it was ready within ten minutes. Customer service was great as well. That oxtail meal was very well flavored and a lot was packed into the box. THAT RUM CAKE THOUGH !!! Sooo good and just how I like it a little bit of cake with a lot of rum. The roti's were great as well and so big that the container could not stay closed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be eating from there. read more

Simply amazing! This is among the very best Caribbean restaurants I've ever eaten at. The interior is not at all fancy, but there is plenty of seating. Outside there are a few tables on a small patio. As to the food...delicious! I had a combination plate of curried goat and jerk chicken. Along with this, it cams with some brown rice and plantains. The flavor was so perfect. You certainly won't leave hungry. I tried the Carribean fruit cake. To be honest, it was good, but not great. As the server warned me, it is very different from traditional fruit cake. The texture was very dense and had a subtle fruity taste. It wasn't bad, just not to my taste. The server was a very sweet and friendly lady. She was great about answering questions. I definitely recommend Carribean Delight. It's one of the best restaurants around. read more

I throughly enjoyed this hidden gem. I had been craving Caribbean food, so not expecting to find authentic I was ready to settle for what I could get. I was thrilled when this popped up and the food reviews were excellent. I went in and familiarized myself with the menu. I went back out to ask my husband which sides he wanted with his oxtails and to tell him about the great happy hour specials. I returned and couldn't decide if I wanted Curry or Jerk chicken. The server was so patient and sweet. She answered all my questions and even suggested that I get a combo plate. Problem solved. The food came out so fast my husband hadn't even finished his drink. It smelled delicious and looked finger licking good. I couldn't wait to get home and dig in. Melt in your mouth, tender, falling off the bone good and the plantains tasted fresh! I couldn't finish it all, but look forward to my leftovers. Can't wait to come back again. read more

The food is excellent. Every single time! Tastes just like my family prepared it! I only wish they had a location in Goose Creek!

Picked this place randomly and what an experience. Unassuming from the outside but great vibes inside. Started with some drinks made by the awesome bartender Shyanne which were amazing. Got a combo plate of oxtail and jerk chicken. WOW! Both fall apart tender and the flavour was so complex. They must have let it stew for a while. Wish it was closer but I'll definitely be back. read more

Made a yelp just to leave a review on how good the food is here. Definitely a must to stop in and have a bite.

I'm a foodie, and Caribbean Delight was my first introduction to Jamaican cuisine - and wow, had I been missing out! My first dish was the oxtail, which was absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, my food has always been ready in a timely fashion, and everything I order is brought out correctly. You can tell all menu options are passionately made. Every bite is packed with flavor and I have yet to be disappointed. Though it's definitely a hole in the wall joint, I would argue it's one of the best restaurants in Moncks Corner - eating here is truly a treat, and I can't wait to try more of their menu items. read more

This restaurant was supposed to open at 11 am so I decided to do a call ahead no rush. I called at 11:10 am to place an order for a meat combo(listed on the menu by Yelp). She stated she didn't have one so I opted for the curry goat. Before hanging up she told me she needed 10 mins because the cabbage wasn't done. I get there at 11:45 am and the doors locked. Weird I know I just ordered not too long ago. I dialed the number back and she tells me give them a moment to open because they are running late. Another party comes while I'm waiting in my car. They try the door and of course it's still locked. About 10 mins later someone comes to open the door. I walk inside behind the party that just arrived. When she gets to me she asked what I'd like to order. I tell her I called ahead. She responds we need about 10 mins for the cabbage. Finally at 12:27 I was getting into my car with the food. I wait until I get home to unbag and enjoy. Not as seasoned as I expected but It was first red hair in my food ‍. read more

Great food and service. I go every time we visit friends in the area. We are from Delaware

This was my go to place for lunch when I'm in moncks corner until yesterday. I left my card in there by mistake and by that evening someone who worked there had clearly ran up a number of charges on shein and romwe. What made it even worse was that I called them shortly after seeing these charges and a young man stated that he did not see the card. So i waited until the next day and called again and the young lady stated that the card was on the register and it was sitting there all evening. So someone was lying. Even after cutting off my card they still kept trying to use it. Do not come to this place! They're liars and thieves and scammers!!! read more
