Professional, trustworthy, and extremely communicative throughout the entire process. If you're looking to sell a vehicle and want to work with a team you can trust, I highly recommend Stanford Car Company. - Bob Hughes and Tana

Super shady business, buyers beware. This guy sold me a car online that had a clean carfax report…read moreand swore up and down that nothing was wrong with it. When he delivered the vehicle it had visible damage to the front end, I didn't know at the time how bad it was. He later agreed to have a local body shop in Hayward replace the plate underneath that was dragging in the ground, but I learned that day that the front end was literally broken and missing the piece that goes under the bumper. It's literally just hanging there. The tires were also bald and the brakes were bare. I had to immediately put a ton of money in to the car just to make it safe. This guy is selling broken garbage cars for top dollar. I got ripped off and he's a fraud. Save yourself the trouble. Also, don't rely on carfax, now I know it's worthless information.

He was a true professional and just a flat-out nice guy. No pressure whatsoever just good service. The office is pretty much just a big trailer. Well, that's okay I don't really need a luxurious surrounding. Like others have stated it's just a set price so you don't have the hassle of negotiating. We always get cars that are still under warranty so there's really no risk at all. In the past you could always return a car after a few days, we have never had any reason to do so. The last time we bought a car here we were actually out in 45 minutes. That's pretty darn good. The only time we had a big problem is when they supposedly pre-checked car actually had worn tires. That was not so good but they made it right when I pointed it out to them. They put on some brand new tires for me. Okay they made it right and that's fine. The other problem we had was pretty minor. The cars don't seem to have the second key fob. They will get you another one but it's a bit of a hassle to go have one made at the shop. So for my next purchase I will ask ahead of time to make sure it has both key fobs.

The most pleasant car buying experience we've ever had!…read more We found T & A Auto Sales through Car Gurus after seeing a listing for a "great deal". When we arrived, we were quickly welcomed by the shop's owner and only employee, TJ. He told us about the history of the car and disclosed that the radio wasn't working right off the bat. He let us know that he wouldn't sell the car before fixing the issue and that he was already in the process. He shut down the shop to take us out for a test drive and not once did we feel pressured to purchase the car. When we asked if we could take the car to a mechanic, he offered to take it for us (requiring him again to shut down the shop). After our mechanic assured us that the car was in great shape and TJ worked out the radio, we let him know we were interested in purchasing the car. He happily held on to the car for us despite multiple other offers and worked with our schedule as we are not from the Hayward area. Although TJ was not willing to negotiate the price of the car, we agreed that it was already priced in a great position and appreciated that he was open and honest about fixing the radio. After we purchased the car, we realized there was an issue with the new radio and contacted TJ immediately. He apologized sincerely and helped us fix it, even though our contact listed the car as is. We got to know TJ fairly well throughout our car buying experience and would recommend his business to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle. He is kind, honest, and a great businessman to work with.
