This place is absolutely terrible. Not even the place, the receptionists. One told me I only had to pay the coat pay and I triple checked that my insurance was clear and she promised I wouldn't have to pay anymore because I wouldn't have accepted services if I had to pay out of pocket. A month later I got charged $180 and when I called to explain what happened, the worst receptionist I've ever spoken to in my life told me "yeah there is no way we are giving you your money back". They fucked me over and they will fuck you over too. I have never even left a review on any place before but that's how bad this dude Tom pissed me off. Get a better receptionist. read more

I just wasted over an hour trying to get care from this facility who denied me service because they said my medical card was actually my pharmacy card & did not have the information they needed to locate me in the system. Turns out after spending over an hour on the phone with my insurance provider they assured me that the card I provided IS actually my medical ID & that the number CareNow needed was listed on card the entire fuckin time! Referred by Telemedicine when I was sick for days and did online booking it was fast but I had to drive to the clinic so I was about 5minites late. When I checked in front desk, the lady asked for my name and to sit in the waiting room...but after several minutes wait, I asked again and the lady told me to check my queu on the two screens on the side, told her I was no longer in it and then she checked on her screen again and relisted me. Not sure what the gap was but after a while I was called from the font desk to pay $220. I was sick and didn't ask to check again anymore and will sort it after the fact. Looong wait when I got in, they did covid/flu test after 2.5 hours at least...negative and I wish I requested for viral panel. I didn't meet the criteria for other testing because my symptoms were atypical. Anyway, not sure if I recommend this place because of the wait and an overall feeling of the team being disconjugated. They're nice and professional just didn't feel system was efficient. read more

I made the appointment on their website to help expedite the process as I had previously used this facility before. I received a text stating a 15 minute wait. A minute later I received a call from them stating their physician is backed up and there would be a 2-3 hour wait. Proceeded to offer a different location because "they" have capacity, but when pressed for details she paused and eventually said the other location had a similar wait. This was on a Friday and well before closing. I could see through the lies and writing on the wall. If you are reading this, don't bother booking and filling out the information. I would put negative stars if I could. Walked out after being YELLED AT by the nurse. I've been going to different urgent cares/walk-in clinics for years and I have NEVER been treated like that in my life. Insanely inappropriate and rude, they have no idea what they're doing other than how to belittle you. Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your time here. This clinic has no regard for people's time. They simply do not care about the patient. It's been multiple times that I check in online, wait for a few hours (as the system says I'll receive a text to come in) and I never do. When I come to the clinic, they say "yeah you have to come in to get in the queue". What's the point on checking in online and waste people's time if the system does not work? I'm never coming back here and I suggest you find another place. Also, todays waiting time was 3 hours and you have to wait in the clinic. Literally did not check me in unless I committed to waiting 3 hours in the clinic. Horrible horrible service. read more

My son went in lethargic and they did get him in pretty fast. We have proof that we met our out of pocket max and deductible and they wouldn't hear any of it. The care quality was pretty good but once my son tested positive for strep they didn't continue with the rest of the throat cultures. read more

I had to go here for stitches today. I walked in and was immediately taken back while my husband took care of the paperwork. The nurse that cleaned me up was very sweet and gentle. The PA that stitched me up explained everything she was doing and was very gentle. She numbed it really well and I didn't feel the stitching at all. I really appreciated her calm demeanor. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Now, I haven't gotten the bill yet, so we will see how that goes later. Hopefully I can leave the review the way it is. read more

I went in a week ago after having diarrhea for 3.5 days. Wait was short, staff was very kind. I was sent home with a stool sampling kit (3 different tests), delivered it to Quest Labs the same day. I never heard back from the clinic. I called 3 days later and was told by the receptionist that they had no control over the lab's performance. She sent me to the nurse's phone and I left a message on voice mail asking for a call back. Still have not heard from the North Austin CareNow. I went online, signed up for an account, and found some lab results. I am not sure how to interpret them or if they are all inclusive. I am a little better and no longer have to wear a diaper at night. I still wait for a reply, but no longer expect any. Apparently, that is outside their normal operating procedures. read more

For service, speed and kindness, this place would be at least a 4-possibly 5. However, I was told upon check-in the cost. I was unequivocally told that the price was a set price and there would be NO other fees after check-out. I was told this several times, at check-in and check-out. Well, guess what, a month later I received another bill. It just listed a completely new cost which not quoted or talked about and that I owed it. I called and asked why, told them what I had been told, and that this seemed to be a new charge for what I already paid for. The woman on the phone just said I owed it. I basically was charged twice for the exact same thing. She offered to send it to billing as "disputed" but a couple of weeks later I received another bill saying that they reviewed my dispute and I still owed it. So, while the staff is nice, and you are in/out quickly, it would have cost less to just go to my regular physician and pay out of pocket or the HEB quick clinic. Taking advantage of sick people is pretty despicable. read more

Husband went in bc he wasn't feeling great. Tested Him for flu and covid, both negative. Said what he had was viral but was very vague and didn't give name of virus so we could look up more info. Gave him very broad instructions on how to care for himself, days later, he doesn't feel any different. Calls back to try to get some more information or talk to a doctor, he was put on hold for 30 minutes. He eventually hung up and tried again, calling 8 TIMES, and they decided they didn't want to answer the phones anymore, so he was never able to get through to anybody. I provided my insurance information when I was seen. They sent me a self pay bill. I called multiple times to insure they have my insurance. This facility sent my bill to collections instead of billing my insurance, despite advertising itself as in network. Now I am having to dispute the bill with the collections agency, almost a year after my visit. read more

This was my first time coming here. I was a little skeptical based off the reviews, but I said what the heck - I got in 30 minutes before closing (they close at 5pm now, instead of 8pm) the lady at the front desk was patient with me. I saw Dwayne first, he had great energy and was very kind. I then was treated by Sarah, whom was very calm and made me more relaxed. I like how quick and efficient they were. I didn't feel rushed or as if anyone was annoyed I was the last patient to be seen. I would definitely come back. Thank you guys!!!! read more

I 100% understand from experience why this Urgent care is rated 1 star. Yesterday I was seen by Katherine Liecht. It was honestly the worst most intense doctors visit of my life. Katherine Liecht was careless, unprofessional, and distasteful in her treatment and verbiage towards me. I had to literally get up and walk out in the middle of my paid visit humiliated and uncomfortable. First let me start by saying I came into the CareNow Urgent care to have X-rays on my wrist, recommended by the CVS minute clinic Doctor DIRECTLY across the street. The kind doctor at the CVS minute clinic recommended and helped me pick out a brace, massaged my wrist, and was very gentle with me. She listened to my concerns and gave me solution after solution. She even help me put the brace on and said although she knows my wrist is not broken. To ease my mind of any doubt of my wrist injury being anything more serious, She recommended I go across the street to the CareNow Urgent care to get X-rays to cross out the possibility of a small fracture. I arrive and was seen by Katherine Liecht. She walks in the exam room and is basically like what's wrong with your wrist?? As I start to tell her how my injury occurred and that working in a cupcake bakery, frosting, carrying cupcake trays, and baking makes the pain worse she dismisses everything I said by stating "mmm I want a cupcake now" ..ok... not the time or the place. I'm in pain and not amused. She then instructs me to move my wrist in different directions. As I tell her HOW MUCH IM HURTING..she says "can you just do it" ..excuse me?? So I do one of the movements and my wrist makes a LOUD popping noise we both heard and she tells me "It's just nitrogen, it happens when you get older or haven't stretched a muscle in a while" .. neither makes sense to me as I just turned 26 this month and like I stated before had she been listening, I use my wrist a lot at work, they're plenty stretched!! I go and take my X-rays and go back to my exam room to wait for the results. Katherine Liecht abruptly walks in and says nothings wrong with your wrist, it's just a sprain. I tell her how the doctor at the CVS minute clinic recommended things for me and SHE CUTS ME OFF MID SENTENCE TO EXCLAIM "NURSE PRACTITIONER..SHES NOT A DOCTOR!! SHES A NURSE PRACTITIONER" UMMMM ?!?!?!? Who cares?! She was a wonderful DOCTOR that helped me, that put me and my worries at ease, that was gentle with me AND RECOMMENDED ME TO COME HERE AND SPEND MY MONEY!! How insulting! Get off your high horse Katherine Liecht. So disrespectful not only by cutting me off for such a petty reason but degrading another worker in the medical field for your own narcissistic benefit! She belongs in this field! You, Katherine Liecht, who seem to have not one nurturing bone in your body, do not. At this point I'm frustrated and you can OBVIOUSLY see it on my face. Katherine Leicht without a doubt sees this because she says in a mocking tone, "you seem upset". And I say back yes, because I'm in pain and you're telling me nothing is wrong. She rolled her eyes and said "well I can give you a toradol shot" I begin texting my mother who also works in the medical field and Katherine Leicht boldly says to me, "you want to finish texting?!" I return her statement with yes actually I do. She stands up above me and says well let me know when you're done and walks aggressively out of the exam room. At this point I'm in disbelief of Katherine Liecht's childish behavior. I couldn't take the embarrassment another minute. I grab my things and leave without first asking the receptionist for corporates number. She gives me a card of the Manager Lisa Martinez. As I'm calling to speak with Lisa Martinez , Katherine Liecht has the AUDACITY to call my cell phone trying to pacify me. No ma'am. Katherine Liecht dismissed my pain, made light of my of my concerns,insulted me and another Doctor, and had the nerve to tell me anything regarding texting me mother! Again if you saw I was visibly upset..why not comfort or console me, hell AT LEAST at the bare minimum show me my X-rays I'm paying for to put my mind at ease. Nothing. I had to call back to retrieve my X-rays on a disc 3.5 hours after I called asking about them! I can't help but feel discriminated against, had I not been a person of color, or maybe had I been twice my age, would Katherine Liecht think this behavior and they way she spoke and treated me was okay??? Don't waste your time or your money here! Just go across the street to the CVS minute clinic and visit that DOCTOR. read more

Was told PCR test results would be back in 24 hours. Called and spoke person at location and was told it always take 2-5 days. Tone and demeanor was not professional. Doctor was fantastic but follow up execution and the way I was treated post appointment was awful. read more

Came in to the clinic with extreme pain from a suspected UTI, going to the ER would have been way more expensive and not any more needed or effective. The front desk person was lazy and unhelpful, on her phone constantly... I told her why I was there and asked her to get a cup for me as they would need my urine and she says "nah, they will get that when you go back" I told her that with my condition that I could give the urine NOW but didn't know if I could give it later (if you had ever had a UTI) you would know the urgency. There was a nurse standing there that heard all of this so she told me to go inside where all the patient rooms were and and she gave me a cup to complete the task. I came back out to lobby where the front desk girl was filled out the paperwork that they have you fill out every. Single. Time. You are there, even know they already have it all in the computer. The unhelpful girl at the desk asked for my payment and I told her I was in pain, and could I get up and give her my card on the way to the clinic room when they call me to see the Dr because getting up hurt ALOT and I didn't want to have to do it twice. She said no and just sat there, I offered her my card to come get from me but she continues to just sit there staring at me like I'm crazy for doing that. I eventually got up because she told me she wasn't going to let me see the Dr unless I paid her and obviously she wasn't trying to be accomodating or cutrteous AT ALL. I was offering payment but she wanted ME to get up and give it to her. I always do for myself and am a caregiver to my dad and a mom to my son as well, I was in a situation where I could have used a little help and she was unwilling at all to be helpful or even decent. ATTITUDE written all over the place!! Dwayne, one of the nurses is super awesome, straight forward, and helpful and all the Dr's have been great. That's why I continue to go there. Care now could do with better service when you first walk in. Also, at another visit previously I gave my insurance card and was charged my copay at the visit, and still billed for the full amount without insurance being submitted - same front desk girl!!! It took me calling and submitting my insurance card yet again to get it smoothed out. read more

Sarah Stankes, PA, managed my care today and I couldn't be more impressed. I came in following a recent ER visit and she discussed the pathophysiology of my condition with me, as well as my continued pain management. Her bedside manner was top tier as she was friendly, efficient, and truly made me feel care for. Now, her MA, Alexus, was incredible. She was able to navigate my intake process despite my rare condition and met my needs with her attention to detail and genuine interest in my wellbeing. Alexus worked with within the interprofessional team to make sure I was taken care of hollisitically- ensuring I wouldn't incur extra costs to be seen for something their center may not have been able to manage. 20/10 recommend. read more

Made us wait outside in 45 degree weather while the took care of one person's paperwork for 26 minutes. The waiting area was empty and they showed zero remorse for their actions. Complete incompetence. There was a family outside with a small child who was also made to wait until I raised an awareness with the front desk and they finally let at least the family in. read more

Got referred here by Teladoc. Got to the urgent care and the person working the front desk turned me away stating they could not treat me and there was nothing they could do. All while talking about my condition incredibly loudly and when I left, all of the people in the waiting room were looking at me and knew my medical information. Not cool. Would not recommend. Walked in and already wanted to leave, and take my business elsewhere. The front desk lady Noel was rude, unkind, and does not listen. I let her know that I checked in online, but wasn't sure if I registered for the correct info. I had explained that I am leaving for a cruise, and was expecting my covid test to be billed through my insurance. She then told me that it was going to cost $130, and held onto my ID, and told me to sit down. When she then called me up to the desk to collect my ID, and make a payment she told me a different price of $139. I had then made a comment on how the price went up, and she held a paper to my face to show the difference. 1. I know how to read. 2. You should know your set price of something instead of guessing or assuming. After she collected my payment, and gave me my ID back she then told me to sit and wait again. Once being called back to take my covid test, I had explained to the nurse that I would like my results emailed to me as I needed to get back to work. She then told me I needed additional information, and I was confused. When I told her that this wasn't brought to my attention, and explained that I am going on a cruise I wasn't told I needed to bring anything else. Thankfully the nursing staff, and doctor were kind, and able to assist me in a kind way, and able to help me resolve my issue with Noel, and her negativity. At the end of my appointment I went to collect my documents, and corrections, and Noel was making side comments about the back staff, and saying that they didn't put in info. Once she found what she was looking for she never apologized or anything. Will not be bringing my service back here, and if I do I hope I never run into Noel and her negativity again. read more

Avoid this place at any cost. Came in at 8 and it's 10 and still not done. First the doctor Katherine Liech is rude, snaps you off, does not listen to you, does not pay attention to the details that you say about the symptoms to identify the cause. It's 48 hrs plus and I still didn't hear the test results that they were supposed to call back with. The nurse, staff are kind and super nice. Need quality doctors for this location. I scrolled down and I see more complaints on this doctors behavior. Carenow needs to address this seriously as everything but the doctor is great here ! The woman who works the front desk with short hair is incredibly rude, short and just generally the opposite of what you want to deal with when you're sick. I've been here three times and not ONCE have I heard her be kind to anyone. She acts annoyed if you ask any questions too. It's enough to make me chose another place. read more
