To Dr. Elaine Cheon-Lee, patients are just a source of money. She doesn't care about your health concerns. Don't ask questions during your annual checkup. If you do she will charge extra. That's what happened to me. After Dr. Cheon-Lee did a quick routine examination, I asked her a question: Is there anything I should know or be aware of about entering menopause? I made it clear I am not interested in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) because of its side effects. I wanted to know if I should consider a bone density test or perhaps taking supplements. The doctor recommended a couple of OTC supplements and then brought up HRT. She started badgering me about trying a cream that she assured me has minimal side effects. I finally gave up and said OK just to get out of there. To my surprise I received a $130 bill for an "office visit". This was in addition to the $188 my insurance company paid for my annual women's health exam. When I reached out to Dr. Cheon-Lee I was told the hormone replacement therapy was not part of annual visit; therefore I was charged for an additional visit. She agreed the bill was unexpected and acknowledged I wasn't informed in advance there would be a charge. This came after I repeatedly told her I wasn't interested in HRT given its side effects for women with a medical history like mine. So CareNet patients, be wary about asking your doctor questions without also asking what it will cost for an answer. If you receive an unexpected charge, don't waste your time reaching out to your doctor or trying to discuss the issue with the management team. No one cares about patient satisfaction. Your concerns will be ignored. I filed a complaint with my insurance company, which said it will keep Dr. Cheon-Lee on its radar. I will pay this bogus bill, so it doesn't affect my credit report. But CareNet has gone downhill as shown by the number of 1-star reviews it now receives. My advice: Skip this place and go somewhere with honest doctors who listen to and care about their patients. read more

Absolutely horrible! Do not go here! Both of my pregnancies were handled horribly and the last straw was yesterday when I was stuck in traffic for a horrible car accident. I showed up 15 min late. The receptionist's was very rude and didnt care. I left a message while I was stuck in traffic. The receptionist checked with the doctor and they told me they will have to reschedule. I've been waiting for this appt. I cried uncontrollably bc of my horrible morning and voiced them a concern about a lump and I really atleast needed my mammogram appt that I was still on time for. They still rejected me. I was so upset. I left. They never called me once to check on me or to see about rescheduling. I've been a patient for over 20 years! Run from this place. That was the last straw. Ive been waiting to leave them for a long time. They do not care about you. I had to click on a a star. Zero stars for this place. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Moon and NP Tiffany Bovard. However, I despise every other aspect of CareNet Medical Group. I did not find the other doctors that I had friendly or empathetic. There were mistakes made by the receptionists multiple times and never once did they take accountability. They even tried to charge me $50 for a missed appointment when they had it on file that I had called to reschedule it multiple days prior to the alleged "missed appointment." Also, when I was around 38 weeks pregnant I showed up to my appointment only to be told there was nothing on the schedule for me. I was then told my appointment had been cancelled months prior but I was never contacted. The receptionist said if I went to the Clifton Park office she'd call and they'd get me in. I showed up to the Clifton park office only to learn no one had called on my behalf like I was told. Overall, this practice caused me more headaches than it was worth. read more

I was a patient here with my first pregnancy about 16 years ago. The U/S tech unexpectedly told me the child's gender, and at 5 mo in I still had not been scheduled with an actual MD for my checkups. I switched practices. Recently, I returned (good location, passage of time etc) when my ob/gyn retired. The MD was fine, no complaints. But I observed the front desk staff treat another patient in a manner that was nothing short of abusive; she literally berated a patient - loudly & unreasonably - for several minutes. The patient was in tears. I have never seen anything like it, it was completely inexcusable, and absolutely stunning. I would never trust this practice to care for me, will not return, and would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere. read more

After seeing many bad reviews I am glad to know I am not crazy or alone in this. I was suppose to have a ultrasound today when I went I was told I wasn't getting one until 20 weeks. When I spoke to the Dr. 2 weeks ago they want to give me an ultrasound every 2 weeks because my last pregnancy was high risk. So not only I had a to get a horrible attitude from the nurse but also the Dr. She couldn't go over my blood work results unless I asked. Then HERE IS THE KICKER OF IT ALL!! So, since I didn't have an ultrasound today they wanted to listen for the baby's heartbeat. So after the Dr horrible pushing on my c section scar with barely no jelly applied she couldn't find one because my unborn child kept moving so since the Dr couldn't get a heartbeat guess what she wanted me to drop everything and schedule me for???? You guessed it! AN ULTRASOUND! So she wanted me to go to another office in Clifton park since thier two techs were booked. I informed the Dr I couldn't do it later today nor could I get to Clifton park. So she sends me out to reception to schedule. After I told reception 2x I couldn't do it today she gets off the phone after talking to someone for 20 mins and says "you have an appt @1:30 today at Nott" When I JUST TOLD HER I COULDNT DO IT TODAY! so then she goes to speak to the Dr because I was informed AT THE DESK! IT WAS A STAT SITUATION WTF!?!?! so here I go back and forth trying to figure out scheduling FOR AN ULTRASOUND THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE TODAY!!!! long story short I am leaving the practice in finding a new Dr. Since communication is lacking and diligence. If I could give zero stars I would Thank goodness I am changing now I would be lucky to get the right baby at delivery. read more

The practice, specifically Dr. Cheon-Lee discriminated against me because I was a transfer patient and was unhappy with my previous provider. They intentionally didn't pick up the phone, return my calls and claimed they didn't receive my records. They also made me fax the records even though they can access MyPortal and all I had to do was authorize access for them. I am 7 months pregnant and they intentionally played games and stressed me out for over a week. They did all this and then told me that they would not accept me as a patient. They wasted a lot of my time that I don't have to waste. Apparently, Dr Cheon-Lee forgot the Hippocratic oath. read more

I been going to this place for the last 14 years. They delivered 3 of my kids. 14 years is a long time, but there are no personal touch in their care. You feel like a number. They dont know your name or anything about you unless they read in the chart. I quit this practice after coming to the office with a problem, they send me home with no problems found. They said i need to come back for ultrasound. That night i got diagnosed with UTI at Ellis Hospital Emergency room. I paid out of pocket for their misdiagnosed visit, and they refused to reduse or drop their fees becase doctor seen me. I didnt feel it was fair. read more

Dr. Emily Campito should not be practicing medicine and why on earth would carenet medical group employ someone who has a reputation for treating their patience with malice and disrespect goes to show you carenet medical group does not care for their patience and fail to uphold their standard operating procedure. I went to a GYN there for a mammogram. I waited a month to get my results..Then I had to have an ultrasound and waited another month! I would never recommend them to anyone! Every woman is nervous waiting for her results. Now I go to St. Peters hospital and love it there! read more

If you want to lose out on getting paid a full day's work because you had to make it to an appointment just to find out they canceled it, then this is the place for you! No phone calls to inform you of the cancellation or to reschedule, nothing! Not to mention the utter agony of holding your bladder in the waiting room for an ultrasound that was never going to happen... when the neglectful clerical staff upstairs could've easily have told you all of this before shooing you downstairs. I relocated to the area while pregnant with my first child; he was born 6 weeks ago at Bellevue Womens Center. I pretty religiously read reviews and won't go anywhere with less than 4 stars. I was referred to CareNet, so I didn't read reviews before making my first appointment, and after reading the reviews I was pretty surprised. I have nothing but good things to say about my CareNet experience, and while I provided some of this feedback directly to the physician, I want to put it out there for other review readers. My prenatal office experience was good, regardless of the doctor I saw or office I visited. CareNet has many doctors, and I believe there is someone for everyone (unless you want a man). All different personalities, ages, ethnicities... whatever criteria you find important, I imagine you can find a doctor at CareNet. When you're pregnant you try to see all doctors, because you get the doctor on call for delivery. I enjoyed all doctors in different ways. I was always checked in and seen promptly, and treated with care and respect. My postnatal office experience was equally good, with PAs who were happy to help out this breastfeeding mom with carrying car seats, holding the baby during weigh ins, giving time to feed on demand, and even encouraging holding during exams. My labor and delivery and recovery at Bellevue was great! After such an experience, I wouldn't want to have a baby anywhere else, with any other group. Dr. Piraino was the doctor on call that day. The universe has ways of working I guess - she was exactly what I needed that day. She was calm and directing, and encouraging. She made eye contact with me, and engaged my husband in the process. She checked on me the following two days, and made sure I was physically comfortable and comfortable transitioning from the hospital to home. I really cannot say enough good things. After Emily Campito harassed me about my vaccination status but knew nothing about its effects on fetal development as I told her that I might be pregnant and I was never even offered a pregnancy test. she then took her frustration out on me and left me feeling violated by her speculum. She inserted a dry cold speculum into my vagina when my legs were still closed and with the cotton swab she scraped my cervix with came out bloody. She said it was "normal." Nothing about this experience was "normal". To make matters worse, 3 weeks later I believe I had a miscarriage as my flow was later, externally heavy, and really painful, Advil wouldn't even touch the pain. I've never had a bad period in my life. I feel she had nefarious intentions and I'll be reporting her to my insurance provider. read more

I've been going to Carenet for 6 years. First for annual GYN appointments, and now for my first pregnancy. I've never had any issues with the staff, nurses, techs, or doctors. Everyone's been professional and courteous. Not "let's all hold hands and sing kumbaya" super friendly, but not at all rude. Any calls I make to the office with questions are returned promptly. They even researched a weird insurance billing issue for me that had nothing to do with their office. I like how they rotate me to all the different NPs and doctors so I get to know everyone before I deliver. Even though our appointments are short, it's nice to put faces with names. I haven't met everyone yet, but Drs. Cheon-Lee, Moon and Campito are all very nice, as are clinicians Cindy, Nancy and Sheema. They all take time to answer my questions, which as a first time mom, are many. I feel very comfortable going to this practice and have confidence that they will guide me through as smooth a delivery as possible. Only complaint is that some of the exam rooms are TINY! My fiance comes to my appointments with me and it gets cramped with the two of us and the nurse or doctor. read more

These doctors delivered 2 of my children and did a good job back then. I believe that's all they know how to do! Now I am 56 and was told I had a fibroid a few years back . Did ultrasound back then , said it wasn't big. Fast forward a few years I was getting pain in my lower right abdomen, I thought immediately of appendix so I went to my primary doc. They told me a had a mass on outside of my ovaries. So I called my gyn. She called me back and started screaming at me that I knew it was a fibroid and why did I go to my primary. First of all they share nothing with you I thought fibroid was on the inside and didn't know where it was since they never told me! They did apologize for their rudeness at next appointment and referred me to an oncologist who told me it's not really pressing on anything and given my age I could just wait and see. ( just got enlighten you gals out there.. I figured out for myself what caused the fibroid to grow , caffeine ! High amounts are in DD FROZEN COFFEES) once I stopped drinking those and started taking these FIBROBLEND pills I googled to find online , I don't have any more pain. Now fast forward a few more months I started to bleed for a month so I stupidly went back to them thinking they could help me!! NOPE! They put me on pills that made it worse!!! I realized this after googling the pills that said " helps to start periods!!" REALLY???? I was told by Dr. Moon quite: " you are no where near menopause!!" They kept pushing me to have a procedure done to shrink fibroid . I almost gave in to have it done when covid hit, so I cancelled procedure and decided to see what my body would do now on its own!! Well guess what?? My last period was May 22 Nd! It is now September 10 th. Gee looks like menopause is starting doesn't it??. They made me feel like there was something wrong with me just because I'm going through this later in life. DONT GO To THESE GYNS!!!!! Go anywhere but here read more

They won't take the patient seriously!!! Every test u did from there they won't give you the details report and if u ask for that will charge u money for every single page. They won't ask u to get the authorize before they take a test from u (except the blood work)! The ultrasound is terrible the machine is old model and can not see clearly. Finally I transfer to St. Peter on/gyn they will let u know what is professional. They offers everything for u and u don't have to worry about that much. They give u all the information and offers some classes for the new mommy. Some of the classes are free and they also offers the 3D ultrasound in32 weeks. I don't recommended people they go to Carenet. It's awful even u complain or trying to disputes the charge which is not authorized by the patient they are rude and tell u they can't do anything!! read more

I have had no problems with the office staff or doctors. They are professional, efficient, and helpful. That just goes to show how one awful person can ruin your experience of an entire practice. There is an ultrasound tech (do not know her name, but she has red hair) here who humiliated, disrespected, and disappointed me, not to mention ruined what was should have been a special once in a lifetime experience for my husband and me. Absolutely awful practice. I was there as a patient during my first pregnancy and unfortunately had a miscarriage. I stressed that I needed my thyroid tested etc and never had it done as it wasn't deemed important. I ended up going through a miscarriage at 14 weeks. That's not even why I'm rating them so low. I ended up moving and after a while became pregnant again. I saw a doctor once near me and decided I wanted to see Dr. Cheon-Lee instead so I called to make an appointment. The rudest woman couldn't find my records for a 20 minutes then told me I was a no show for a follow up appointment which is total bs and that I hung up on the doctor. Again, total BS. (I had called to tell them I was moving). So this woman basically decides to tell me how I'm an awful patient etc and that it's in my records. I've never heard of any secretary being so rude. Aside from that, she refuses to schedule an appointment for me to see a doctor for this new pregnancy because I have already seen someone else at a new hospital. In order to even be scheduled, she needs to see my records to prove I'm pregnant again. She kept asking if I'm really pregnant. I'm outraged. I will not be returning to this place. This is supposed to be a special place for woman's health and no kindness was shown. I was NOT a new patient, I was a previous patient there. I am from Manhattan and I am used to quality health care. Both my parents are doctors in the city and they are furious and will be following up with complaints as I will as well. This place treats you like just a number. My boyfriend and I both felt that way when we were there during the first pregnancy, but felt we wanted to give them another shot. Never again. Don't go there! If you do, fight for your rights.
