TERRIBLE BILLING PRACTICES!!!!…read more One of the first bills I received was shockingly high (It was the first bill we received after 7-8 months of services). I went through the line items and found that they billed me for a service that my son was not receiving. I reached out to the billing department and they acknowledged that there was a billing error and corrected the bill. We switched providers because they were unable to provide services at my son's school. Several months after discontinuing services we received a bill from them for several random dates of service from the past. We expressed our frustration with the delayed bill in September and thought that our account was settled then. To our astonishment, we just received another bill for services rendered 11 MONTHS AGO! My household receives bills from dozens of different providers. These bills arrive within ~30 days of services rendered with the only exception being Raleigh Therapy Services. When billing is delayed by so long it makes it difficult for personal accounting and creates stress and anxiety because amongst several recent medical bills, it is an unexpected expense. I had to spend the entire day yesterday combing through records from RTS and my insurance company to try to understand why I was receiving a claim 11 months after services were rendered and to try to understand if I would be receiving any future bills (which there are still 2 more claims that haven't been processed). I have worked as a health care provider billing insurance for medical services as well as my current position at a medical software billing company. I understand that insurance issues can be very frustrating and sometimes take several phone calls to resolve. The provider we switched to, K&M Therapeutics, billed for the same service (plus a new one) and we received bills monthly starting 30 days from service and they were billing the same insurance companies. It seems like they need to hire an adjudication claims specialist to have someone dedicated to trouble shooting these issues so that they can be resolved in a timely manner. My son really liked the therapists at RTS..... this is just a billing inefficiency issue leading to a poor customer experience. I believe it can be fixed if they want to put the effort into trying to.

The therapists meet him at his school during regular school hours, which saves us a lot of hassle and time. Our son loves seeing his therapists. He has had such a positive experience. The improvement in his speech is remarkable, and he has gone from hating holding any writing instrument to drawing, coloring, and practicing letters and numbers. Amazing! In the first office I went to the Dr. did adjustments as needed based on her physical assessment, would get a few adjustments per visit, but had no way of telling if these were making any difference, just my trust in her skills was the full justification for these visits until I decided I was not feeling much of a difference. In contrast at Team Chiro, they have a clear methodology that you can see and you can also feel the progress being made. It's a proactive approach to correct deficiencies making sure you have the correct posture to keep the benefits of the treatment in the long run (this is what brought me to the Chiropractor in the first place). I did not have any critical issues and thought of myself as in fairly decent shape but knew I had my head tilted towards one side and came to find out that my hips were out of alignment, also that a couple of slow speed rear end accidents a few years back most likely affected my neck. I recognize Chiropractors can tell much about the state of your spine by doing adjustments, but some deficiencies like my hips and neck position would only be visible through X-ray. Highly recommend this team, not only the doctors but all the office staff that make this a pleasant experience. One of the big benefits for me is that if you have any minor issue during your treatment (a trip to Carowinds and also a sore back due to yard work in my case), the doctors adjusted me for those issues as well as part of my routine visits and Voila!! Life-changing. I've been going around all these years thinking that I wasn't very limber, thinking…read morethat you're supposed to wake up with stiff joints and tight muscles, but it doesn't have to be like that. Working with Dr. Bill, I've addressed pain I didn't realize I was carrying. My daily headaches are gone. My feet used to give me trouble if I stood or walked too long; now they no longer ache. I can turn my head to check my blindspot while driving without having to turn my shoulders! My pain is gone and my range of motion is better than ever. My lower-back pain (due to years of sitting like a potato) is resolved. He also showed me the right (and easier) way to sit with proper posture. It's an incredibly simple fix, but it's not obvious until you've been shown by an expert. In some ways, I feel better than I did when I was 20! haha It does take some work. Dr. Bill will show you how to do a number of highly targeted exercises and you'll be expected to do them between sessions (as best you can, but he'll also share videos with you so you can continue to improve on them). But the amazing thing is that the exercises are designed to help me at my level, so even though they require some work, I don't feel fatigued like I used to feel whenever I tried to work out. I feel energized, which is amazing if that's how most people feel after exercise, because that's new to me. If you're thinking - yeah, yeah, but my pain isn't that bad - maybe you're right. But pain is really the last indicator that something is off, so if you're at the pain-stage, then it's something that already needs addressing. It's like when a car's tires are unbalanced. Sure, it can drive from A to B, but after a while the unevenness will catch up to it, and it'll start having bigger issues than if you had just balanced the tires at the start. On top of the exercise routine Dr. Bill has shown me, I've had cupping, which is way more beneficial than I could've imagined, and dry-needling, similar to acupuncture. In general, Dr. Bill likes to use a balanced and client-specific approach, so you'll get a solution that fits your highly unique situation, and not some cookie-cutter program. It costs money, for sure, but it's a pretty standard rate for the service he provides. Not to mention, the service and the results are by far better than anything I've gotten anywhere else. Like I said above, life-changing.
