I truly cannot express how amazing these doctors are, especially Dr Cole and Dr White. These 2 are so compassionate and are exactly where they need to be. They helped guide me through my 1st pregnancy and Dr Cole was the doctor on call when I gave birth to my son. It was a tough labor but she made it so much better. I'm truly forever grateful that I had such a caring and amazing doctor to help deliver my son. I'm a patient for life here.

Durham OB/GYN were very disrespectful. They are the worse. My medical files had lots of errors in them and the office manager is really a piece of work. Don't go near this office. ASK if they are going to FILM your procedure!! Other offices do not do this.

There was only one other person in the waiting room, so it didn't seem too busy. Either way, I'm glad I made the switch and became a patient here.

Even though they were running 30mins late, you can tell the staff felt terrible and tried everything in their power to speed up the process. They definitely made you feel appreciated which is something you don't find often unfortuantely. Once I got into the room, I was out in 10-15mins. Scarlet (RN gynecologist) was respectful and not once did i feel uncomfortable. Tip: Fill out your past medical history and other forms online, it makes the process a lot faster. The portal also updates you on your visit and lab/test results.

I think not…read more The Carolina Women's Research and Wellness Center (CWRWC)--AKA the Women's Wellness Clinic because it's WAY easier--is a small, all-female practice that really goes above and beyond to make its patients (well, this patient at least) feel good about going there. The facility is sterile without feeling it--the exam rooms are stylish and cozy with pretty sinks, cabinets, and chairs, and the art on the walls is actually really nice. I see Dr. Lukes who is totally awesome. When she explains things, I don't feel like she dumbs them down or gets too scholarly (and she doesn't know I have a background in reproductive health/have a healthy level of interest in my lady parts). Being in those stirrups is never fun, but at least Dr. Lukes and the Women's Wellness Clinic make it much more comfortable than any other practice I've been to.

However, one…read moreconsistent issue has been long waits in a freezing room, wearing only a sheet, well past my appointment time. This included my most recent annual, where I was told we could do a biopsy, but the doctor arrived 40 minutes late and ultimately said she didn't have time. Unfortunately, the last three months have been truly frustrating. I had a small, persistent irritated spot below my clitoris, and my usual doctor referred me to Dr. Schreiber for biopsy/removal. While Dr. Schreiber was pleasant, she mistakenly removed tissue from the wrong area (labial skin). A simple "Can you confirm this is the correct spot?" before the procedure could have prevented this error. At the stitches removal appointment, she had the nerve to tell me I was wrong and that the spot I'm indicating was just irritation from the stitches below it. She agreed to remove it anyway, but didn't suggest sending it to the lab, even though I'm a recent stage 4 rectal cancer survivor. She was wrong, of course, because I felt more comfortable having just had a part of my body cut off and silver nitrate put on it than I did the entire 3 previous weeks. Over the course of multiple follow-ups and messages, my concerns were continually minimized or dismissed. I saw four different doctors: two brushed it off as inflammation, one worsened the issue by removing additional skin, and another prescribed estrogen cream only after I brought it up--and then ignored my biopsy request. Let's say they never resolved the issue, and I'm being treated by a dermatologist now who actually cares about helping. Adding to the frustration, I can never reach anyone on the phone except scheduling, and that's including the triage nurse.

I've seen two doctors at this practice and liked both (interesting fact - first two male obgyns I've ever been to). They were smart, helpful, friendly and generally pleasant to spend an appointment with. Nurses and reception staff are also quite nice and willing to answer my dumb questions over the phone. They've got one location out on North Duke Street in that whole medical park area, and one in Sutton Station for the SW Durham crowd - very convenient. It also may be worth mentioning that they have a nice Web site, with health-related articles and news stories, as well as discussion boards.

I made this appointment because I have been experiencing significant issues with my menstrual cycle, and I wanted to understand what could be causing them. Instead, a large portion of the appointment focused on my weight. I was told that I should eat only 1,200 calories a day while exercising to lose weight, or consider going on a GLP-1 medication. I found the 1,200-calorie recommendation especially concerning. Telling someone they should only eat 1,200 calories a day without knowing anything about their lifestyle, activity level, eating habits, medical history, or individual nutritional needs is wild to me. That is an extremely specific and restrictive number to throw out without any real discussion or assessment of those factors. I understand that weight can play a role in certain health issues, but there is a huge difference between discussing healthy weight management and immediately telling someone to drastically restrict their calories. What frustrated me even more was that I had to ask for the bloodwork myself. I came in wanting to figure out what might be going on hormonally, and I felt like investigating the underlying issue was not the priority until I specifically requested bloodwork. The office experience itself was also very disorganized. When I went to get the bloodwork done, I was left standing in the hallway with no clear instructions about where I was supposed to go or what I was supposed to do. I was just waiting around trying to figure out what was happening. Overall, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and extremely disappointed. I went in looking for answers and left feeling like the main takeaway was simply "lose weight." I would not recommend Triangle Women's Center to anyone based on my experience.

But doctor rejects and requested me to schedule an appointment with her. I called 4 days without any one answer the calls, I went to their office twice, the office was closed without any notification. At the end of day 4, the front desk finally returned my call, and schedule the virtual call next day. The doctor called me by asking me the question you need a birth control pill refill, do you have other questions? The virtual visit took 30 seconds and I will be charged $100 for this 30 seconds call. Horrible experience. Never return!
