Staff there explained everything in detail prior to surgery and after. The anesthesiologist did a great job in making sure I was comfortable and pain free. My follow up today was also great. My eyesight is already looking great. All my questions were answered. I am highly satisfied with the entire process, including these assistance in securing financing for both surgeries. It all started with a 45-minute wait past our appointment time in the lobby, where there was a person screaming nonstop. This was never addressed by the staff, and it left my school aged child terrified--she wouldn't let go of me and just clung to me the whole time. During the appointment, the staff asked me in front of my child whether she was "jealous of her older siblings" and making up eye problems just to get glasses. This was not only inappropriate, but it made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Then, when the doctor finally came in, we were told my child needed glasses to see properly. We were told that our insurance would cover the appointment 100%, but they didn't cover anything because the office had processed the insurance incorrectly. I called multiple times, left messages, and eventually had to send a letter to get someone to address it. When I finally received the bill, the staff was extremely rude and told me it was my fault for not providing insurance that would cover the exam--despite being explicitly told my insurance would cover it fully. In the end, I'm left paying for an exam that was emotionally draining for my child and should have been covered by my insurance. The whole experience was frustrating, and I was really disappointed by the lack of professionalism from both the staff and the doctor. I would highly recommend finding a different eye care provider. We will not be returning to this office.

If you are facing cataract surgery there are several things to consider. 1. The surgeon should have completed thousands of cataract surgery patients. Dr Nagy has done surgery for 18 years. 2. The office should be trained and efficient. Waiting time is minimal the first to the last visit. 3. The doctor should provide new techniques and technology. Patients are not required to use eye drops before or after surgery. 4. The surgeon should have excellent outcomes. Immediately after each surgery I could see with my new lens vision. I had no complications after surgery. Here is the bottom line: Dr Nagy is the best surgeon in North Carolina. If I had more than two eyes I would see him again. Patients seemed to be moved from one room to another as quickly as possible, with very little time to ask questions or actually feel like anyone was listening. I left feeling like a number instead of a patient. The woman who appeared to be in charge, Ginny, was especially off-putting. Her attitude came across as dismissive and made me feel like the financial side of the business was more important than the people receiving care. Overall, I found the experience extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expect a healthcare provider to show at least some basic concern for its patients, and I did not feel that was the case here.
