There were some places in the home where the lights weren't working (basement, garage and spotty service in the back yard). Peter and his team were phenomenal. Peter came out on a Saturday to take a look at everything. Because my electrical panel is in the basement of the home (and I think it was the original panel too), Peter showed me where some water had gotten into the panel, causing rust. He recommended updating the panel altogether and putting a weather seal around the panel (both from inside and outside the house). Peter was very understanding in allowing me to take a beat to do my research and consider the investment, since it was a larger one. Aurora Electric/AA Electric Contractors are A+ rated via the BBB, and the reviews here on Yelp and Google were helpful in building confidence. After doing my research, I was able to feel like I was making a solid investment. The quote was reasonable - especially considering the lifetime of the seal/panel is roughly 50 years. Peter's team was accommodating with my schedule and came out to do the work on a Saturday. The guys were so kind and Peter stopped by during and after the work wrapped up to check on everything, which really shows how committed Aurora Electric/AA Electric Contractors are. Their work was top notch. The panel and seal look great and already the work has been put to the test with all the nasty storms that have passed through the Chicagoland area in the last few weeks. I'm delighted to report that everything is working wonderfully and this takes a tremendous pressure off my shoulders knowing that the lights will be on in my home for years to come. Thank you Peter and team! When moving in, it's vital to find reliable and trustworthy electricians, plumbers, etc. I will absolutely be calling Peter and his team for future projects and needs. *Full disclosure note that I'll be re-posting this review across a few different service platforms. This is a reflection of how pleased I was with Peter's team/service and my desire to share the referral. I can assure you this is a real review from a very real person. :)

It is a sky bell (like a Ring) that is attached to an indoor chime (as well as my app). Discovering a dead transformer, it was replaced tbut that did not resolve the issue. The tech called his boss and the two of them concluded that it was most likely the doorbell itself-malfunctioning. I didn't agree and the patience that the owner had with explaining clearly everything is commendable. I was allowed to be heard and explained that the electricity going to the bell was still out. I think many companies would have not listened to me and would have walked away from the job (I recently had that happen with a dryer repair). Not these guys, The tech immediately jumped back into action and within 2 minutes he resolved the issue. And did it with a big smile. He fixed it. Made him feel good and me feel good (and happy). What a great company...one who actually listens to their customers and stays committed to resolving the issue all with a good nature. I highly recommend them.

I did some research on this (price to repair vs. buy a new one, namely) and decided that the best course of action was to hire someone to come out and take a look at it and hopefully repair it. I reached out to a few companies on Yelp, but ultimately landed on J&J Repair. The man I spoke with on the phone was incredibly nice and was able to come out the very next day to take care of things. He also offered a reasonable price that included his service fee, labor, and the parts needed for the repair. The repairman just left my mom's house and was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. His quote was accurate and there were no sneaky fees. As an added bonus, he was able to accept payment via credit card. The dryer is once again in working order thanks to the fine folks at J&J Repair! My mother has even lined up an appointment to have her garbage disposal looked at in a few weeks. This was a great experience and we look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I have had several different repairmen work on the 45KW generator multiple times over the past seven years, and Pierro is -- by far -- the BEST. Paul is extremely polite and pleasant. I feel comfortable with him, even if my husband is at work. Paul clearly explains what he is doing and why. He leaves the failed part for my husband to see. And, most importantly, the generator worked for 13 months (a record!!!) after he finished working on it. I think it's normal that if they have to order a part you will end up paying for the second visit, though I haven't had that experience with Pierro yet. These backup generators are a blessing and a curse, but I'm finally feeling better about mine since we have started using Pierro.
