They even have two huge and beautiful aquariums to keep the little ones busy while you get to eat your food while it's still warm (all parents with small kids will understand this is a luxury). We got there on Thursday evening at 7:35. We had 5 adults and one child. They told us half the place was already closed for the day and if we wanted to be seated it would be at two different tables. I said if that was so we would go somewhere else. They said ok. read more

Guys in the back kicking around pizza trays on the floor and swearing......honestly just a bit of effort would make it so much better. We are staying in Bloomington but after reading the reviews of the closest Carbone's we chose to drive the 6 miles to this location. I'm glad we did. Our server Molly the best. I've eaten here before and the food is always pretty good. This past week, I had lunch there and was the only one in there during lunch. The kitchen staff was talking about how the cook just plugged the toilet and he yells out " I had salmon and chili last night". This continued for about 10 minutes. Really? We are a family of four, including two teenage boys. We love Carbones pizza. Generous on the toppings and fantastic taste. We go for delivery most often and service has always been great. Not sure why people write bad reviews about businesses that are not set up the way want. For example, one review slams for not being a sports bar. I got a gluten free pizza to go with pineapple and Canadian bacon. I finished eating about half of the pizza and immediately started having stomach pains and burping. On October 21 I ordered a pizza and salad from Carbone's in Eagan. The pizza arrived cold and there was no salad. I called Carbone's and told them the issue. They said they would get the salad right out. I waited...and waited...and waited. When it FINALLY arrived it was wilted sloppy lettuce, it was simply inedible. I called Carbone's again and rather than asking how to fix it the manager responded by telling me she just started her shift so it wasn't her fault. I admit I was frustrated and when she immediately responded the way she did, my frustration level rose. Not once did she offer to do anything. She was more concerned about who's fault it was. She asked if I ordered it through Carbone's or Door Dash. I told her that I ordered it from their website. She told me it was ordered through Door Dash. So in addition, I am a liar. At that poiint I told the manager to do whatever she wanted and I hung up. I still have not received anything. This carbones location use to be the bomb. I used to go multiple times a week. I stopped by last night 12/8 for my last meal there. They put nasty fresh mushrooms on the pizza now without sauteing them first. This gave the pizza a horrible taste. I ate 1 piece and tossed the rest, I couldn't stomach eating anymore of it. Please go back to canned mushrooms and mess with the red sauce so that is not out of a can. read more

I was in the mood for some non-chain pizza. That is more difficult than most would think, most local place's idea of good pizza is a DiGiorno from the Piggly Wiggly. This place has genuine, honest to goodness, real Italian food and pizza. I had the deep dish pizza. The toppings were plentiful, the sauce tasty and hot, and the service was great. I come from NJ so I am somewhat spoiled. We have a million little mom and pop Italian restaurants to choose from. Here in the Midwest, they are more difficult to find. I walked out a man with a thick patch of hair on my chest, a white tank top stained with sweat, and a mustache so rugged I could use it to open a can of crushed san marzano tomatoes. I also enjoy the fish tanks, which the owners probably use to hide the bodies of their competitors in. The only thing I couldn't understand, why do they cut the pizza into squares? This question has plagued me every hour since my visit, and I now set forth on a journey into the lands of the north to find the source of the odd custom of the square cut. "THIS GUY HAS A STINKIN' PROBLEM" ...the employee yelled to the back, looking right at me, when I was asking about the cost of my order. I had a question on why I couldn't use a coupon and instead of the employee saying, "here, let's figure this out" like any other restaurant I've ever been to in my entire life, I get an employee shrugging his shoulders, telling me that he agrees it doesn't make sense, there is no real reason they can't adjust the order to accept the coupon (I assume he just didn't feel like doing it) that, "it's just the rules" and finally yelling to the back, "Hey, this guy has a stinkin' problem". I've never been treated like this at a place of business. Ever. Carbone's Pizzeria, you have a real customer service problem at your Eagan location. We have been fairly regular customers in the past 18 years we have been living here, but we will not be returning unless you can prove you have done something to address the issues you have. read more

While running an errand in Egan we decided that we would stop and grab a bite to eat. Pulling up Yelp we noticed that Carbone's was very close, so we decided that we should give it a try. SO GLAD WE DID! Walking in you cannot help but notice many beautifully landscaped salt water mini-reef aquariums. Our server Brittany could not have been more informative and helpful. To start we chose the antipasto salad. Upon asking if the regular size would serve two, she informed us yes. Brittany even put it on two separate plates for us. It was fantastic. For our entrée we ordered the small Five Topping Special Supreme, deep dish style. Asking if we could switch the green peppers for olives was no problem whatsoever. While waiting I had a clear view of the open kitchen and noticed that all of the dough is formed/tossed to order. Our pizza came out with six generous pie cut slices. It did not disappoint, the sauce was packed with pure tomato flavor, beautifully spiced and wonderful. The toppings were plentiful and covered with a nice thick layer of perfectly melted cheese. Our server was in charge of the entire dining room and handled it with great ease. My only hope is that other locations closer to our home have the same quality as the Eagan location does, they set the bar pretty high! For me, Carbone's is the epitome of self-loathing hangover pizza. For suburbanites, it's apparently quality. It's greasy. Really greasy, largely due to the fact that each pizza is loaded with massive amounts of cheese. Seriously, I have never seen so much cheese on one pizza. If you're wondering where your toppings are, they are hidden in layers of cheese (that and Carbone's isn't very generous with their toppings). This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, except that the cheese isn't of great quality. Try re-heating the pizza the next day and you'll see what I mean. If you microwave it you'll find a puddle of grease pooled around it. Since there is so much cheese, it makes the thin crust soggy and greasy. Take-out is not ideal; when you finally get it home you'll find it has started to congeal. You're basically just eating a block of cheese, as the cheese overpowers everything else that's on the pizza. The price is right if you're looking for a greasy fix. read more

This is by far the best place to get pizza in Eagan. I much prefer the deep pan pizza which is always loaded with cheese and lots of flavor. The toasted cheese garlic bread and pizza fries are great too. Great to eat at with kids too because they will love the saltwater fish tanks. read more

C'bones is an establishment in Eagan and undoubtedly, I will always order pepperoni and green olive and/or a toasted turkey hoagie - the number of times I've ordered this is triple digits. Last craving lasted a week and I phoned my order from the airport. I might try the deep dish since I never knew it existed here and sounds interesting, but I know what I like, and so I'm also easy to please. The original restaurant has been renovated, yet still has a very homey feeling, dig it; whereas the newer spot in Apple Valley is more live and tastes the same. C'bones is damn good. read more

We love Carbone's. It is our favorite pizza place. We like other places but this one is our favorite. The service is always great, very friendly and they know us and know what we like to order. We love to get the 5 Topping special with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, pepperoni and sausage. We get thin crust and it is nice and crispy and a nice flavorful sauce and lots of cheese on top. They have nice aquariums to look at. I have been going here since the 1980's and have been to many Carbone's but the Eagan Carbone's will always be my favorite. read more

I have always loved this place! Now Carbone's pizza is my #1 pregnancy craving! If I could give less than a one star review I would!! I ordered a 2 topping pizza and pizza fries at 4:10. I was promised the pizza to be delivered by 5:10. I finally called Carbones at 5:20 asking how long it would be for one pizza and the fries. The person answering the phone was of no help. He just said that delivery was behind and it would be another 10-15 min. I said it's already been over an hour. He offered no help. I asked to speak to a manager and the phone went silent. Finally someone got on the phone and apologized saying it would only be 10-15 min more. He also offered to take $10 off. I thanked him and continued waiting. Finally, at 5:55 our pizza/pizza fries arrived. Delivery person was covered in dog/cat hair, very disheveled, could barely walk down the stairs - in other words creepy. He stood waiting for his tip. Pizza was barely lukewarm and definitely over baked. Pizza fries were cold and also over baked. So disappointing!!!! For the price they charge for their food it should have been much better quality. Just your normal pizza place serving Minnesota style pizza (thin crust cut in squares, who knew there was such a thing). We got the cheeseburger pizza which was actually pretty good. Extra cheese, onions, pickles, and hamburger meat. It did kind of taste like a cheeseburger. read more
