Came here on a Saturday afternoon looking to try another koryo saram restaurant after enjoying Edie Fancy Food in Brooklyn. I got scared at first because the gate was down and the restaurant appeared closed, but we entered through the coffee shop entrance and found it was actually open! I was very excited after traveling from queens. We tried three dishes: the hot kuksu, the carrot salad, and the manti. We were the only customers in the restaurant, and the service was very attentive and helpful. The carrot salad is very bright and flavorful. The natural sweetness of the carrots is complimented and enhanced by the acidic dressing. Crunchy and fresh, I couldn't stop eating this. The hot kuksu is a very large portion. I think one person may struggle to finish this on their own and it's best shared by two. The broth is light but complex in flavor. It tastes like a Korean style soup further deepened by the additional layer of fragrant fresh dill. The noodles are chewy and the ample toppings of tomato, pickled cucumber, strips of egg and beef add a variety of textures and little pops of flavor throughout. The spicy condiment on the side really enhances the broth so much, it's my favorite part. The manti were my least favorite item but still quite good. I've had better manti elsewhere. They have a little bit of a gamey edge to the beef filling and the wrappers are soft, almost creamy in texture. For two people, I was unsure if we had ordered enough but ended up leaving very full and happy. The prices are very reasonable and the interior is clean and comfortable. read more

Subject: Fantastic dining experience - a must-visit! We had an incredible dinner here today and honestly couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. We were seated promptly, and the food service was surprisingly fast. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We started with the mango and avocado salad--it was such a unique and refreshing flavor combination; my wife and I both loved it. For our main courses, we had the seafood rice (similar to a risotto), which was outstanding. We also ordered the fish and the beef stroganoff with fries, both of which were perfectly prepared. What impressed us the most was how much our daughter enjoyed everything. She is usually a very picky eater and rarely touches fish or meat, but she tried everything and finished her meal! It's rare to find a place that impresses the whole family like this. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. We left feeling completely satisfied and delighted. We had such a fun time at Caravan Restaurant last night! The food was so delicious I was already thinking about my next visit before I even finished eating. The warm, cozy atmosphere made everything feel extra relaxing and welcoming. And the karaoke was the cherry on top -- nothing like hearing people sing their hearts out to make the night even more entertaining. Whether you want to sing or just laugh and enjoy, it adds a great touch. Great food, great vibes, and great fun. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

I came for tea and pastry on two occasions. First time no pastries. The pastry was stale, may have been sitting on the display case for. days, clearly not even even refrigerated, tasted old and had to be replaced. The replacement pastry was equally poor and stale,so I left it mostly uneaten. Staff doesn't seem welcoming at all. No other customers were seen in the place. read more

Food is pretty good but the service is the worst, feels like they are doing you a favor when you try to spend money there. We tried to use our Amex they told us that they require that we buy $30 minimum, really, that was a new one. Some time later my wife went in to get just a few items the total was over $10 they would not take the credit card, Visa this time and when she said that she has no cash with her they took the items back. That was a WOW moment. They have to remember that most people use credit card to purchase item. We are done buying from them. As business owners they should understand how credit card fees work and that the Interchange fees they pay are a percentage of the overall order with a minor, most likely a $.10 cents transaction charge, so the fee are proportional to the size of the order. Setting minimums is just silly and most importantly these rules that are self imposed alienate their clientele that use credit cards. read more

The food is ok, mediocre at best. They were much better when they just opened def went down hill. But the customer service is horrible. Like someone already mentioned, they def act like they're doing you a favor just by being there, checking out your groceries, etc. i go there out of necessity but a miserable experience every time. We ordered catering for my husband's birthday, and everything was delicious! The owners were accommodating, pleasant and everything was done on time. I personally loved the salmon with crab meat, fried potatoes with mushrooms and pilaf. The grilled veggies, meat and manti were delish, too. Our guests liked the food and asked where we got is from. All in all, we were very pleased. Oh, last but not least, the bread was soooo good, we got it still warm and I think they bake it themselves, too. read more

Great selection of home made food. I stopped in after work to avoid cooking dinner and was amazed by how fresh and tasty everything was. Chicken cutlets melted in your mouth, salads are very fresh, and their baked goods are out of this world. I fed my little one without any hesitation and will definitely go back again soon.
