Delicious Ramen shop! Tasty food, great service, welcoming atmosphere, nice decor. Generously sized portions that will fill you up. I enjoyed the Pork Buns and the Ohkami Miso Ramen. We ordered the Spicy Ohkami ramen, the Spicy Paitan Ramen, and the beef rib ramen. My recommendation is to just skip the beef rib ramen, it's very tenderand all but I think the broth really lacks flavor. But the Spicy ohkami and the paitan ramen were delicious! I came here twice the first time the lady was great but the second time the lady was very confused and kept messing up our orders. read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant. I got scallion pancakes, vegetable dumplings (steamed) and the vegetable ramen. They were all delicious. The service was very fast and the restaurant was clean. I liked the Pokémon on the walls. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My daughter and I went there yesterday for the first time and we will definitely be back soon! She ordered the ramen with shredded chicken and I had the seaweed salad and steamed vegetable dumplings. My daughter said the ramen was excellent and my steamed vegetable dumplings with the best I've ever had! Also, the service was fantastic. Highly recommend. read more

This ramen place is no longer run by a real authentic Japanese people, and it is now managed by Chinese people. The restaurant isn't clear like before, and it is a little bit messy. You can't open the front door and let flies come into the restaurant when you have customers eating there. The service quality has also gone down. It is very disappointing that the restaurant has changed ownership. read more

Every time i come there is always a table and the wonderful service is super quick. I usually get the Shoyu ramen, it is very savory and salty. Today I tried the Spicy Pork Miso broth. Had a lot of heat but incredibly flavorful! The Chashu Pork is always so tender. White Cream Soda is A+ too! Come through for a great vibe. read more

Everything we tried here was really good! We stopped by on a weekday night, it wasn't super busy, but definitely there were customers around. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff members. We tried the pork buns, scallion pancake, and I could not say no to the spicy steak ramen. The broth was delicious and the steak was delicious also. Food is delicious, fresh & hot! Waitstaff is prompt & courteous. Place is clean & cheerfully decorated. I've walked in & been immediately seated. What more can you ask for? The only potential issue, is because the dining area is small, on a cold night, you could easily get a draft every time the front door opens. Might want to bring a sweater. read more

Very good solid ramen. Good apps as well. The potstickers are crunchy and flavorful. Scallion pancake is good too!! The Ramen is pretty good, I personally like the egg the best they soak them in some kind of sauce which kicks it up a notch. The chashu is ok, slightly bland, but the texture is on point. I've had the bone broth and the piation broth, both pretty good. Spice it up with the hot chili oil, your welcome Lastly the seaweed salad was awesome. U know how u will sometimes take a bite of a seaweed salad and it's all dressing? Or whatever sauce that is ? Well this is not that. The seaweed is perfect. We are so happy to have a ramen restaurant on Staten Island. When entering this place it has such a beautiful vibe. We were seated immediately. We looked over the menu and decided on the miso ramen and added the black garlic oil. They seem to use really great noodles and we were super excited to try out the miso with chicken broth. Also, we ordered as an app pork buns and for a drink we ordered green tea. The buns came out hot and fresh. They come two to an order With cucumbers.. The tea was good. Light and not to strong. We waited a little for the ramen. When it came out though it was hot and so fragrant. The soup was rich and flavorful the meat was tender and delicious. I loved the black garlic add on. I only wish they had some more veggies. Perhaps squash or some other hearty veggie. Overall the ramen and this restaurant was amazing! The staff here was really nice and accommodating. Don't believe these fake reviews. They bribe every customer to leave a "good review" in order to get 10% off your bill. Walked in on a Friday night, restaurant was pretty packed but they sat us down pretty quickly for a party of two. Ordered 2 appetizers that came pretty quickly which were not the best. Dumplings tasted like they were just microwaved, not fresh. Waited about 40-50 minutes for the main entree (ramen). Waitress ignoring our table and the next to us for a while. We left as soon as we saw that other people who got there way after us got their ramen bowls first. Other people were complaining about the same thing since they've been waiting before we even arrived. Waitress ignored customers attempting to speak to her. Unprofessional. Don't waste time coming here unless you're trying to wait an hour for your meal. read more

After a hectic day walking into Ohkami was great. Warm and friendly, a great menu and quiet. We started with the Karaage chicken and scallion pancakes. Both so fresh and tasty. I had the Paitan ramen which was warm on a chilly night. The pork corn and egg hit the spot. I will have to bring my wife and friends to this great little hideaway in the old neighborhood. read more

I would've recommended folks to try Ohkami ramen at least once but my wife found a piece of SHARP PLASTIC in her bowl of ramen. The service was great and the ramen and soup broth were decent compared to other NY / NJ ramen restaurants. But come on, a piece of SHARP PLASTIC in the soup is unacceptable. What's even more outrageous is that the manager didn't come out to apologize but rather only instructed the waitress to take one bowl of ramen off the entire bill. The waitress was amazing and repeatedly apologized but the manager should've at least had the decency to show his / her face and apologize for this incident. Sadly, my wife and I had a terrible experience due to this incident and particularly due to the poor restaurant management ethics the manager has. We're lucky my wife didn't choke on the plastic and the restaurant is even luckier that I didn't make a bigger ordeal out of this incident. Don't go to this ramen restaurant unless you want to play a game of chance on whether you'll choke ok sharp plastic. read more

Great ramen finally on Staten Island. Broth was flavorful and the pork was perfectly soft and fantastic. The noodles were a highlight too, which they say are shipped from Japan. The takoyaki was smaller than usual but had bigger pieces of octopus than most places give you, so that's a nice plus. Overall I'm just really glad the island has a good ramen place. Sakai is decent too, but I think Ohkami has better broth and meat so it's a cut above. read more

DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT from this place. Horrible service. Called at 718. Was told 25 min. Went at 8. Stood in the restaurant right up to the moment leaving at 830. It appeared they didn't even start the order and then multiple Tupperware's of appetizers were left out on counter... aka cold apps. She wanted my card I said absolutely not I want to touch my food! Where to begin? This place is very clean, beautiful wooden decor, many details around like flower arrangements, little cute items on shelves, mirrors, beautiful velvet booth seats. The service is excellent, friendly, polite. But the food....oh my. When we bit into the pork buns, our taste buds nearly exploded!! So fresh, juicy, perfectly cooked! By far my favorite food I got there. I also enjoyed their ramen of course. The best part, and in my opinion the most important part was the rich and flavorful broth of the ramen. 10 stars!!! I'm so grateful that ramen has taken off in Staten Island (finally). Dozens of places have opened up in the last few years and I've tried just about every single one of them. Ohkami blew everywhere else out of the water. My experience is based on pick up orders only As stated by others, the front door is this huge dark steel door with no window or sign and you're like .. am I in the right spot ? Yes you are. Their cashier is set up in the middle of the restaurant so if you have anxiety like me , avoid picking up food when it's crowded otherwise you're just standing in the dang middle of the restaurant. It's just an awkward set up. Food was always packaged neatly and properly. I have a short drive home it was still hot on arrival. Egg a proper soft boil, noodles still had chew to them and not over cooked, broth had plenty of umami and didn't have my lips drying from salt. I wish they had more options but they nail whatever they make. If you're thinking about giving it a try just do it. read more

All I have to say is wow, I've passed by this place multiple times always wanting to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant is adorable and so welcoming. Not to mention the food was delicious!, the pork buns were so tender and juicy and the bun of course was so soft. The corn dogs were something that I've always wanted to try and I'm glad I did. The ramen was so delicious, the broth was so creamy and flavorful, noodles were perfectly cooked. Good Ramen for a restaurant in Staten Island. As most people know our options are limited unless you're looking for Italian food. I saw this place opened up a about a month ago and my bff and I decided to give it a try because we love ramen. It was super cute inside and every customer that came in seemed to be pleased as well. I kept hearing a lot of ohh & ahhs from my seat close to the front door. They did not have a ton of options for toppings but I had the miso ramen with no chicken and it was really tasty. My friend opted to add in the shredded chicken and she didn't like it, she said it lacked flavor. They don't serve any alcohol and I was hoping for some sake or a beer with my meal, not sure if they are waiting on a liquor license or if they just will be alcohol less which is ok too. Fantastic ramen, great addition to Staten Island. I had the spicy miso, make sure you mix the spicy pork in so the whole soup gets the wonderful flavor. I have tried others on the island, so far this is my #1. Rich well flavored broth, sturdy noodles large portions. Pork buns were flavorful and tender.
