I found the "Eyeglass Doctor" online and the reviews convinced me to stop in. They assured me they could fix them and quoted me $82 w/tax. It was a bit more that I expected but still less than 10% of what new glasses cost. The only bummer was the wait. I was told three weeks at dropoff because of a backlog of repairs, but my claim check said five weeks. Since I had a backup pair to wear I decided to wait, plus I figured they must be doing good work if they're so busy. The wait was worth it - the repair was very well done and my glasses fit great again. I would absolutely use them again and you should too.

Nick did a great job buying my silver coin collection worth about $20K…read more Since there were so many coins he recommended me leaving the collection with him over the weekend so he could inventory it. I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). Everything seemed reasonable so I proceeded forward. He wrote me a check and kept the silver and the transaction was complete. It couldn't have been any easier. His shop was modern, clean and well organized. He was professional and polite through the entire process. In all a very positive experience and I recommend his service. I took my antique engagement ring to be sized and appraised. The gentleman there was very kind and thorough, and did not look askance at my terrible gym clothes outfit. The clerk who gave me my ring back took the time to walk me through the fine points of the insurance appraisal. I initially chose Marlen because they were an independent jeweler and I was not interested in supporting the evil Sterling Corporation who owns all the big box jewelry chains.
