After more than a week of unanswered attempts to reach him, we finally connected--only to learn that our pieces had already been sold for a price we would never have accepted. When we questioned this, he insisted we had authorized the sale and became defensive. That was completely different from our understanding of our conversations. Be especially careful about the wording on the receipt. What he later claimed the paperwork allowed did not match what we understood we had agreed to verbally. These were distinctive collector's pieces that we cannot simply replace. We left feeling that our trust had been broken, and we would not do business here again. Get every condition in writing before leaving anything of value. In fact, do not do business here. He is a thief and liar.
