The most impressive jewelry store that I have ever been to. He has been a sponsor for many events held by a friend of mine and is a generous guy. I figured that I should buy a gold chain from him. A friend bought a diamond engagement ring here and was very satisfied. You can hawk any of your old jewelry here if you need some money and he will usually give a better price than other stores in the vicinity. If you want a crazy gold chain with diamonds in it, a Cartier or a Rolex, you can get it here. There is some really cool stuff on display including some nice medallions and charms. Some of the pieces and chains are in the high thousands price range. You need to ring a buzzer to gain entrance. If you are near the Colonial Arcade downtown you should stop in the shop and check out some really nice work. I went to DeWitt's to buy a ring setting for a sapphire engagement ring. At first I didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a great shopping experience. Mr. DeWitt is an awesome guy and his work is pretty amazing. My first impression of him was that he's a very trustworthy person, which is quite different from what you'll find in most of the other jewelry stores around. Since I was in the process of buying the sapphire somewhere else, he gave me some tips with respect to the price range (helped a lot with the negotiations). He had a wide selection of ring settings at a fraction of the cost you would get in other big chain jewelry stores. He ended up mounting the stone and resizing the ring. Since the ring I found was much larger than what I needed, I was a bit concerned with how it would look after resizing it but he did a great job. The ring looks amazing.
