Lastly, we called before leaving home to make sure that if we purchased the car we could take it home. We were told they did not have the title, but that if we purchased the car we could take it and they would mail the title. Soooo.... we made the long trip only to find out the car had 10,000 more mile than listed, had damage AND..... we could NOT take the car like they said over the phone. We would have to make a second trip to get the car whenever the received the title. I was upset, but said for our time, trouble and misrepresentation of the car that I felt they could reduce the price by $400. I was told they would get back to me the next day. It's been 48 hours and nothing. Hopefully, someone else can learn from our experience.

Late afternoon Saturday the 29th of August I was returning from a trip across town on 435 when I…read morewas jolted by a terrifying noise that seemed to be coming from my Honda CRV! Not in a position to stop abruptly, I put on my emergency flashers and coasted to the side of the road . I discovered that the skid plate that protects the oil pan and other parts of the engine was dangling by one bolt , dragging below the car and making horrendous noise. Unable to reach the bolt to undo it and remove the skid plate. I drove a slowly as possible to the Jay Wolfe dealership on 103rd. I arrived at 4:45 pm and was pretty surprised when a gentleman kindly approached me Ze, introduced himself as Chase and let me know that he would open the service door and that I should pull in. He never said anything thing about the time - after all it was Saturday LATE- only that he was confident he would have me back in the road soon. About 40 minutes later he found me, talking to a new car salesman and handed me the key . He explained that he'd pounded the old skid plate back into shape and re-installed it on my 2020 Honda CRV. He also hypothesized that the skid plate which should have been held on by 4 bolts and 4 clips - had not been properly reinstalled after my last oil change ... I won't say who that was but it was NOT JAY WOLFE! Chase smiled and encouraged me to bring the car to them for the next oil change No big repair bill- no "sorry it's too late for us to help come back on Monday" - Just a level of service and friendliness that I can only describe as WOWWIE!!!I! You know that I will be back for I'll changes and more ! If you could have heard the atrocious noise and felt the fear that I felt - that a spark from the dragging skid plate could have engulfed me and my car in flames , you would share my sense of relief . We had the vehicle towed to the local Honda dealership where they discovered that all of the following were broken or needed repair. both front shocks front brakes at 3mm rear are at 6mm (lots of rust) tie rod ends are completely broken right and left ball joint boots broken passenger axel seal is leaking v tec valve gasket leaking oil pan gasket leaking crank seal leaking drive belt grooves cut into it and worn out sway bar links are broken rear axle seal right left are leaking emergency brake pad needs to be replaced 2 wheel speed sensors * 3rd pressure switch door lock cylinder needs to be replaced (driver door wont lock) On top of all of that there were 3 safety recalls that needed to be addressed. When we called the dealership, they accused the CERTIFIED Honda mechanics of lying to us about the extent of the repairs that were needed and stood behind the fact that the vehicle was inspected and certified before it was sold on their lot. I am shocked at the attitude of the dealership about these issues and would recommend that any and everyone stay away from this place.

I finally called again to set an appt to view the car. Their google number for the business isn't even in operation. So you have to go in on the website to find the "sales" number. Then to find out they had sold it over a month ago. But never took the listing down. It's not worth the back and forth honestly. I'd recommend they fix a lot they going to lose a lot of customers from laziness. I do not have a vehicle and so online in the main way i browse before going to inspect a vehicle.

My experience with Cragg Motors in Belton, MO, was one of those times. Ken Cragg and his wife Kim, the only two employees, treat you like old friends the moment you meet them. There's no pretense, no "car dealer b.s." that everyone hates. Just two hardworking people who do everything themselves. My tradein was pretty rough (albeit with fairly low miles), but I got a very fair price for it. And the fixed, no-hassle price of the Ford Transit I bought, was wonderful. Absolutely none of the pressure tactics, none of the "I'll talk to my manager" crap. Ken knows the fair price of the vehicle, so that he makes a little money and you still get a great deal. THIS is how car dealing should be. As I told both of them, I've never felt more comfortable giving a check to someone for a car. It felt like I was dealing with old friends, instead of two folks I just met. After we agreed on everything and I came back with a cashier's check, I was in and out in 40 minutes! The gas mileage alone is making the payment for the new vehicle. The best part is pulling up to my customers house in a good looking van.
