Lastly, we called before leaving home to make sure that if we purchased the car we could take it home. We were told they did not have the title, but that if we purchased the car we could take it and they would mail the title. Soooo.... we made the long trip only to find out the car had 10,000 more mile than listed, had damage AND..... we could NOT take the car like they said over the phone. We would have to make a second trip to get the car whenever the received the title. I was upset, but said for our time, trouble and misrepresentation of the car that I felt they could reduce the price by $400. I was told they would get back to me the next day. It's been 48 hours and nothing. Hopefully, someone else can learn from our experience.

My experience with Cragg Motors in Belton, MO, was one of those times. Ken Cragg and his wife Kim, the only two employees, treat you like old friends the moment you meet them. There's no pretense, no "car dealer b.s." that everyone hates. Just two hardworking people who do everything themselves. My tradein was pretty rough (albeit with fairly low miles), but I got a very fair price for it. And the fixed, no-hassle price of the Ford Transit I bought, was wonderful. Absolutely none of the pressure tactics, none of the "I'll talk to my manager" crap. Ken knows the fair price of the vehicle, so that he makes a little money and you still get a great deal. THIS is how car dealing should be. As I told both of them, I've never felt more comfortable giving a check to someone for a car. It felt like I was dealing with old friends, instead of two folks I just met. After we agreed on everything and I came back with a cashier's check, I was in and out in 40 minutes! We stopped at the gas station after picking up the car and gas leaked from the tank. We immediately called him and he said he would fix problem. He kept the car for a day and told us that it was repaired. To make a long story short, he never fixed anything. We ended up spending hundreds to put a new tank in car. We had the car inspected prior to purchasing and it needed a front wheel bearing. He told us he had this done at Firestone in Grandview. After the gas tank incident I called there and they said he did not have it fixed. He is a liar and a dishonest car dealer.

Then to find out they had sold it over a month ago. But never took the listing down. It's not worth the back and forth honestly. I'd recommend they fix a lot they going to lose a lot of customers from laziness. I do not have a vehicle and so online in the main way i browse before going to inspect a vehicle.

I am only sharing my experience to warn others to consider all options before spending your hard earned money with this "establishment ". I drove from four hours away to test drive a car that they advertised and everything seemed in order. I returned the following weekend to purchase the car and within 24 hours I had a check engine light. I immediately contacted the business to inform them of the recent development and to get some guidance. I was told to find out what the code was and let them know. I went to a local shop the next day to get the code read. I then called my salesman and shared the findings with him. It was not good news. Transmission failure. I explained to him that i understood i had purchased the car "as is" but with such a catastrophic issue happening so soon that I would hope that they would stand behind their product for at least 48hrs. I was then told that due to the fact that I declined the warranty there was nothing they could do or would offer to do. (On a side note, i discovered that the warranty would have only covered $1k of the repair) The repair costs were estimated at $4k for the new transmission. I explained to them that I understood that I had purchased the car"As-is", but I had hoped that since this had occurred in such a short window of time that they would take the opportunity to stand behind their product and offer some sort of resolution. I was told that I was on my own and they stopped answering my phone calls. I am beyond digusted and extremely disappointed in the lack of integrity displayed throughout this experience.
