Newly arrived here and my car took a beating hitting ruts coming across country and some potholes through Tenn. Took car in and Jessica took good care of me setting up the diagnosis and when she would call me to give me an update. As promised, got my call not good news but was accurate. Got the prognosis for what needed to be done and when it would be ready. Always will be some delay for parts and finding a few other items that should be done. I am 75 and have owned and worked on several cars and in a shop. I was pleased with the way everything was presented to me and the end result. Call to pick up car came about mid-day, promised to be ready at 5. Went to shop, car not ready. Finishing touches, realignment check, test drive...car done. We are all still there..............5:20 pm! Who does that!! Customer service oriented people like Jessica, the mechanic that finished my car and last, but not least....Mike Smith, manager, owner and great guy. Give them a try, you may find that things are different at PEOPLE'S CHOICE AUTO REPAIR. I know I will be back even if it's only for an oil change. Thanks to all. Lee Herren

Paid top dollar for a TERRIBLE experience, and my car still doesnt run. Do NOT take your car to these swindlers. They ruined my month and LITERALLY took food off my kids table by making me pay another garage $300 to fix the same problem. Now I've sank almost $900 into a $300 job. Also, when they picked up my truck I had just filled up. After I got it back, there was WELL less than a quarter of a tank of gas in it. Pretty curious, since the truck hasnt run since they got it. :/ Big thanks to Peoples Choice for taking advantage of the working man. And lets not forget my favorite quote from these hot rods as I pick it up... "Yeah, it runs great now... It just won't go above 40 mph (more like 20 mph)." - Eric What a joke...

Do NOT use CARFIX in Oak Ridge…read more We took our daughter's 2017 Honda Accord to CARFIX because the air conditioning stopped working only one month after purchasing the vehicle. CARFIX told us the AC compressor AND the engine fuse box both needed to be replaced, with an estimated repair cost of around $2,000. Thankfully, we contacted the dealership where we purchased the car before approving the repairs. The dealership agreed to fix the AC issue. However, when we picked the car up from CARFIX to take it to the dealership, we immediately noticed the radio console, backup camera, and charging port were no longer working. My husband went back inside to speak with them. CARFIX admitted they would "look into it" and explained that Hondas can sometimes have radio issues after disconnecting power. They said they would order a replacement radio that would arrive in about a week. The repair total was supposedly around $1,100, but they offered to cover 80% of the cost, leaving us to pay $224 out of pocket. At the time, my husband agreed. Once the dealership inspected the vehicle, they confirmed the ONLY thing wrong was the AC compressor. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the fuse box CARFIX claimed needed replacing. At the end of the week, CARFIX called saying the radio had arrived. I brought the car in and was told it would take about an hour. After waiting over two hours, I overheard employees discussing how they couldn't install the radio because they needed the anti-theft passcode. They admitted they had called Honda dealerships and corporate trying to get the code and told me it would have to wait until the next business day. Four days passed with zero communication from them. When my husband finally called, they said they still hadn't heard back from Honda and were "just going to order another radio." We picked the car up for the weekend and waited again. A week later, they finally contacted us saying the part was in. I returned the vehicle and was told it would take an hour and a half. Thirty minutes later they said it was done and demanded the $224 payment. I explained that after weeks of inconvenience, multiple trips, conflicting diagnoses, and the damage that occurred while the car was in their possession, I didn't feel we should have to pay anything. Robert became rude and dismissive, insisting we had already agreed to pay. I pointed out that: * We brought the car in ONLY for air conditioning issues * Additional problems appeared only after CARFIX worked on it * Their diagnosis about the fuse box was apparently incorrect * The dealership fixed the problem by replacing ONLY the compressor They claimed they offered to pay 80% "just to help us out," not because they caused the issue. At that point, I said I would pay but mentioned I would be leaving a bad review, they said "Just give her the keys and be done with it". After leaving, I discovered even more problems: * I couldn't connect my iPhone because multiple phones were already paired to the system * Meaning they installed a USED radio, despite implying it would be new * The dashboard was also cracked around the radio installation area Looking at the invoice later, I noticed they put into the invoice to be charged: $1,024.50 for parts (NO WHERE STATED USED) $15.75 labor $48.88 shop/environment fees Total: $1,195.32 This entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and dishonest. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting CARFIX with your vehicle.

I was denied the discount price advertised and denied my military discount. An hour and a half after my appointment a sleazy mechanic said he could not get the lug nuts off and tried to get me to buy 24 lug nuts for 186 dollars. I found the lug nuts online for 36 dollars at the local Autozone. The mechanic had damaged several of my lug nuts. They never did mount the tires. I bought the tires I had ordered and took them to a tire shop down the road and had them installed. The shop manager at the second shop reported he had no problems get the lug nuts off and that new lug nuts were not needed. I did go ahead and replace all the lug nuts because Firestone had damaged several of them. The cost to replace the lug nuts, all 24, was 29 dollars. Firestone had tried to rip me off for over 150 dollars. I believe this was an attempt to financially exploit me because I am a senior. My issue is I am sure I am not the only one they have ripped off or will rip off. They are stealing money from the elderly population who uses their services. I was contacted by the area manager on 6/11/2025. He defended the Oakridge Firestone store for their criminal activity. I have asked that my complaint be escalated. I was offered a low-end settlement to shut me up basically. I turned down the offer. This store is ripping customers off and damaging vehicles. This has to be stopped so I have made the necessary contacts to have this store investigated at the state and federal level. I believed that they attempted to commit financial exploitation of an elderly customer and that this has been ongoing for years and needs to be addressed.
