I needed to get my viper 7756 remote start fob reprogrammed last week. After about an hour they told me the module was bad and needed to be replaced. Car craft told me they would provide the module at a discounted price which was a very fair. Another hour passed and they informed me that the previous installer has the wiring all wrong and if I get another chip key to insert into the module and come back the following week they would have it working in about an hour (at no additional cost). Well the week has passed and my 2011 Tundra and I went back to Car Craft. They stood true to their word and had my remote start fixed at no additional cost. I know that they lost money on my truck in order to provide high quality service which is rare in this day and age. The people at Car Craft are old school. They are straight froward and blunt, but they provide a highly skilled service that they stand behind. So if you are looking for a fancy shop that offers free coffee and strokes your ego then this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for a competent shop at a fair price for you after market needs then look no further than Car Craft Audio. read more

Lindsay and her "mechanic" are 100% criminal sheisters that purposely make mistakes during mechanical work in order for you to go back to them.....This was discovered by two separate dealerships service mechanics/managers; two separate cars...Both cars BMWs we sole owned. The BBB is evaluating our case, thousands of dollars in "mistakes". They realize who they can unethically install faulty equipment and then ensure they must tow, and fix. This the opposite of being a respected business that "preys" on its customers. They target woman and young people! Never go or let your kids use them! read more

Beware caution caution I was having my radio replaced on a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck. About 2 and 1/2 days after having the radio replaced. My dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. My windshield wiper for going a mile a minute no power from the radio lost a bunch of computer functions on my dashboard. Then I went back there two days later had my radio taken out and to reverse everything they did. The woman behind the counter told me they refuse your refunds you put her owner on the phone with me and they tell me she doesn't do refunds whatsoever. She told me there's going to be putting back in Parts into my truck that don't work with it and I told her that either the radio and the computer to my truck don't like it or there's some issues with the wiring harness that they put in something's not right with the parts they put in. She told me they're going to keep replacing parts, in my truck that don't work. I told her that I didn't want to keep having issues with my truck with parts that don't work. I'm not playing in anymore Parts into my truck that don't work. She refused to give me a refund so it is the parts are bad or her guys did something to my truck when they were installing the radio. The first time I was there getting my radio put in a woman walked in there having issues with a starter they remote starter put in. The second time I went there to have my radio taken out another guy was there he is having issues with an amp they put in. When I went there trying to get my refund a couple days later and go talk to somebody behind the counter there's another gentleman there having problems a new radio that they put in a new radio and backup camera there's problems with the radio and he was back there again because they're having problems with the backup camera. read more

Do not go to car craft audio. PERIOD! They've literally destroyed my car, which they had at the shop for over 6 months now, according to my receipts and saved text messages from one of the mechanics. More specifically, they've totaled my practically-new engine by getting water into it by not covering it, while leaving it out in the rain as the engine cover was getting painted. For a "mechanic place," they were very ignorant and neglectful for doing something like that by not putting two and two together right here, according to what my lawyer said about them, which I'm gonna legally sue them, that is for the literal damages they've inflicted on my car and wouldn't pay for. They've also destroyed my aftermarket lug nuts where some of the spikes and one of the whole lugs are still missing from the rims. Moreover, they've destroyed my seatbelt buckles where I can't even buckle the seatbelts, because it's dangling down to the side and it's hard to get to. Even the aftermarket fog lights they've put in are still dangling and uneven as shown in one of the pictures down below. But wait...there's more: After they put on my "Universal Black Car Bumper Fin Canard Splitter Diffuser Valence Spoiler Lips," they've literally ripped them off my car, where you can only see the ripped tape markings on the bumper now in the pictures down below. They've probably did that out of spite after getting into arguments and disagreements with them. And to add literal insult to injury, they'll literally blame, insult, name-call, swear, yell, bully, and curse at you if you share a concern or complaint with them without fixing the problem at all. I've saved their messages to prove this. What's worse is that they'll basically make you do their own work by making you order your own parts, sometimes, even if the parts won't fit, in spite of them confirming beforehand that it would fit, after they've sent you the links for them to order and you've double-checked with them to see if they would fit, which they've did. In other words, they're liars. In fact, they're such liars that they've lowered my car so low to the ground that it's almost practically touching the ground, from which I never told them to lower it that low in the first place, and now they won't even raise it up, because they claim it was gonna break the car even more, even though the coil over springs are completely adjustable and the car was able to be raised at another mechanic shop I brought it to in order to prove this, otherwise. AND I DO HAVE EVIDENTIAL PROVE OF ALL OF THIS THROUGH THE PICTURES AND THEIR NASTY TEXT MESSAGES I'VE PERSONALLY SAVED FROM THEM! If you want to see them, just call me at 973-534-2400. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Please, anyone considering having this place do your installation, RECONSIDER. They don't use any connectors. They cut the existing speaker wire and twisted the new speaker wire around it and covered with electrical tape. The rear door speakers were slightly larger than factory openings. Instead of ordering new speakers, cutting the hole so that speakers would fit or adding the proper spacers, they used self tapping screws and covered up their work with factory grills. Buzzing from speakers, steering wheel volume controls works to increase volume but won't work to turn down, when turning wheel stereo shuts off. There's more but do you really need me to continue. I would suggest they simply close their doors and go away quietly LOL, that's a pun. read more

I've been living in the area for many years but never had the chance to stop in to Car Craft. Recently purchased a new car that I like, but it came with boring rims. I have always wanted a sharp set of rims for my car, so I spoke to a few people I know, and the consistent recommendation was to go see the people at Car Craft in Dover. I stopped in and immediately was helped through the process of selecting something appropriate for my car. Once we selected the rims, we placed the order and set up an appointment for the installation when they arrived. One small snag we ran into on the day of installation was that the manufacturer of the rims neglected to include the lug nuts. That's rights, they sent rims with no lug nuts! The owner was great. She looked me straight in the eye and said "Don't worry, I am taking care of it". She literally went out to purchase the right lug nuts for my car to ensure I drove off in my new set of wheels that day. She went above and beyond. And I'm thrilled with the outcome! Wheels look awesome! I appreciate the help from the team at Car Craft and would recommend them to others looking to up the look of their vehicle! read more

They did provide me with information on some other models they offer but in the end they were happy to accommodate me with what I wanted. UPDATE: MY STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS CRAPPED OUT. WENT TO INVESTIGATE AND FOUND THAT CAR CRAFT POCKETED THE ONE I BROUGHT FOR INSTALL AND PUT IN A CHEAPER ONE. I ORDERED THE SAME PART I BOUGHT BEFORE AND A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DEVICE IS IN MY CAR Everything is a constant upsell. I brought in my own head unit and supporting peripherals and simply wanted installation on my 2006 charger. I had refered to several forums that had detailed instructions on what to buy and how to install it. As soon as i walked in everything i brought him wasnt high enough quality. So much so that he was even trying to sell me the same exact parts i bought from the manufacturer on amazon from him because "the parts they sell on amazon and ebay are the defective ones that dont pass q+a" (bullsh!t). I get the guy to stop trying to upsell me his entire store and just install my head unit and parts. After a week goes by the steering wheel controller i brought him stops working. I bring it back and it becomes an 100$ expense to reprogram the steering wheel controls and a how he "told me so" because i didnt use a head unit he recommends and sells. He tells me that i will have to reprogram the steering wheel controls everytime the battery disconnects. This was all a lie and a ploy to get me to buy his head unit and pay for a whole nother install. I later found out they had left the steering wheel control device in a setup mode and didnt probably keep the settings in tact (purposely? who knows) The man that runs this store is a scam artist and so is his wife. everything that comes out of their mouths is a choreographed skit. Awful place to go. The workers don't know what they are doing. They broke parts on one vehicle and didn't say anything at pick up and on another vehicle the hood opened while on the highway on the way home. All we were given was excuses. Had them install pioneer stereo on my first car, a bit pricey for the head unit but no problems. When it came to the second car I bought them the same head unit and amps from the first car along with the wiring The, was the beginning of December 2016 .the amps were mounted underneath the rear deck and 2 weeks after installation they both fell out of the deck that they had been installed in. The head unit was loose and moved up and down and side to side and when I eject the disc it hits the trany shifter . I took the car back to them to correct the problems. It took them 3 hours to correct the work they had messed up on and still the work was very poorly done. When you use the fader on the stereo only the speakers on the right side work . Look other places for quality stereo installation, don't waste your time with these people . read more

I had already purchased the head unit that I wanted installed. I came in and they were able to accomidate me. They scheduled me for a little later in the day as they were busy. I came in for a 1 PM appointmenmt and was in and out in 1.50 hrs. The work was performed quickly they install price was reasonible. This place is trash. All the products they sell are outdated and overpriced. Brought my car in for an amp installation, after i was told it would take 2 hours, it wound up taking 6 hours. Then the amp was clearly not installed correctly as my car audio now was horribly distorted. I had called numerous times to tell them about the problem but they insisted it was a faulty amp and charged me again to take it out (Thats now 400$ wasted). I got the amp tested by a third party and the test showed nothing wrong. 400$ waisted for there mistake. Very disappointed. The older lady that works here is very hard to deal with. Also, even with everything back to stock configuration, my airbag sensor has now been turned on after the first installation and has yet to turn off. I will never go here again and I suggest you do the same. read more

Had an auto start bought and installed at Car Craft as a Christmas gift in December 2015. Started experiencing problems with my HVAC module last month. Heat and air would only work when the car was started with the auto start; as soon as the key went into the ignition, it would stop working. Brought it back to Car Craft, they "uninstalled" the auto start and the HVAC still would not work so in their eyes it wasn't their problem, but a problem with the HVAC itself, however when they re-installed the auto start the heat and air continued to work but only with the auto start. Brought my car to the dealership, the auto start was back fed into my HVAC module and it had burnt out. My warranty was void, the auto start disconnected and I left with a bill for repair and no auto start. When I contacted Car Craft, they would not hear it. The older women who answered went on a rampage about the dealerships and was constantly yelling and would not take responsibility for installing the unit incorrectly. I'm no mechanic but if your heat and air only work with the auto start....that's an auto start problem. My family had been repeat customers of theirs and this is how they treat you. I would NEVER recommend them for any work! read more

Stopped in for some stereo assistance...kid that was working there gave me bogus info and made me feel foolish for asking a question about stock headunit. I ended up getting the answers I needed online and I ended up purchasing all my stereo equipment online. That kid is the reason the store lost at minimum my business and a prime example why many people are choosing to shop online instead of at local businesses. I am sure Junior would be helpful, but DO NOT trust any other staff here. read more
