My brand new AC system installed by the home builder started with a leak that left us with issuing a warranty claim after the first year of operation. The warranty repair never sealed the leak and we ended up with a sweltering home in the middle of summer in just a couple years. I found RASP HVAC on Yelp a few years later and after taking to Joseph thought he might be able to find the leak. Even though he wasn't able to find the leak, Joseph went the extra mile to check every component in the system and even some that aren't so obvious or easily accessible. Knowing he couldn't find the leak, he gave me a discount on the recharge. Although I'll have to continue to deal with my home builder's sloppiness, Joseph's honesty and integrity is what sets him apart from all others in the HVAC industry.

I had them set up in my garage so they have a clean flat surface to work on. They left my garage spotless. They had to install a new furnace and AC unit in my attic. It was 105 out and 130 in the attic. They never stopped or complained. They set up fans and got to work. They also installed a new X-Series outside. Wow this massive 5 Ton unit is quiet and thin. It is running in the other side of a wall and I cannot hear it. They took 6 hours to remove and install, test and clean up. That was impressive. David our sale rep was also great. He helped us get a deal we could live with. I also op-ed in the maintenance plan so I could keep a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Peace of mind to keep this running smoothly. I will use them again. The cost was fair. $14k- $18k depending on options. I called 4 other places and they couldn't match the cost and warranty.

I was told the ducts are intact and that the outer layer condition does not impact airflow or cause odor. I was also advised that a rain-related musty smell is more consistent with a moisture issue, such as a roof or pipe leak -- not duct failure. This experience was extremely stressful. Being presented with a costly, urgent repair and then upsold an air purifier -- only to later learn the ducts may not be the issue at all -- left me feeling misled. Exceptional customer service. The technician that came out diagnosed in 5 minutes and took. The time to explain what was broken and a basic overview of how the system worked. I used to be an electrician so I know he wasn't trying to oversell me on services I didn't need. Basically my capacitor went out and that was the main issue. The relay had contacts that needed replacing which I agreed with him on replacing plus he installed another complement to enhance the longevity of the system. Not to mention he did a coil cleaning.
