I've been here twice and its good. I always get atleast a half dozen. This time they only had medium and small, so I got medium. I also got some butter to try. Leaving work I called family who were chilling on their boat in the Sparrows Point area, they were about to head to Captain Jimmy's for crabs. I decided to have them grab a half dozen extra large for me. When I pulled the first crab from the bag I was amazed at the size and weight! It was a real extra large, bordering on a jumbo! Had crabs from here for the first time earlier this month and OMG they were AmAZinG!!!!!! Not only were they large but they were PACKED with meat and so very tasty!!!! I have had some bad experiences with other establishments in the Baltimore City area when purchasing #1 crabs by the bushel. The problems included the size of the crabs, the weight of the crabs and in some cases there were large heavy crabs on the top of the box hiding lesser crabs underneath. I am here to tell you I had zero...."0" issues with the bushel of crabs I purchased yesterday from Captain Jimmy's Crab House. They were some of the heaviest and most delectable crabs I have ever eaten. All of the guests at the crab feast raved about the crabs. Their crabs are great! But if you're a female customer, on Mother's Day you get charged for paper while 5 men in front of you didn't and you don't get told happy Mother's Day, while the other men in front of you were told happy Mother's Day. It's a snarky review, but it's almost comical, especially since every person in there working was female. read more

Best crab house in the sparrowspoint/Dundalk area!!! I referred a guy from work who lives in Towson and he still drives down to get his crabs from there.... he says they are the best he's ever had. I tried being cheap this weekend and went with another crab house because they were significantly cheaper and also had great reviews.... (Vince's crab house) biggest mistake and a lesson learned for sure! I did get the smalls thinking I couldn't go wrong because it's fall and even the smalls are good at this time, but they just weren't even worth picking , even the smalls at captain jimmys are full and so worth it!!!! I wish I would have stuck with my spot !!! Captain jimmys I will never turn my back on you again to save a buck , for I have learned my lesson ! read more

Saying the crabs here are phenomenal isn't an overstatement. They ARE that good. Got a dozen "small," $30 crabs yesterday that were heavy, loaded with mustard, and tasted as if they were just, seconds before, pulled from some pristine part of the Bay. While we've loved crabs from some other places (mainly talking about Lady Frances), these were on another level. I cannot wait until later in the season when the crabs are even better. read more

Best crabs we've had in years. We were visiting from Shrewsbury PA and asked locals where they recommended we get crabs to take home. They said Captain Jimmy's. Crabs were great. We've been back several times. It's approx 90 miles round trip but it's worth it to us. We get the $30 crabs. They have all been heavy and full of mustard every time. I went to visit with family in Edgemere yesterday, and ordered crabs and shrimp from Capt. Jimmy's. There was a special of two dozen large crabs for 110.00, I believe it was. We ordered four dozen, and five pound of shrimp. I have never been disappointed by crabs from here, but yesterday the crabs were incredible! When my daughter brought the crabs in, she set them on a table. I went to lift one of the bags to move it. It had two dozen crabs in it, and I could not lift the bag, it was that heavy!! No kidding or exaggeration-I could not lift the bag. Every single crab was full and heavy. There were six of us eating, and when we were full and could eat no more, we counted what was left, and we had only eaten two dozen! We had two dozen left, and I was able to bring a dozen crabs home to finish off today. I grew up in North Point Village, and now live in Western Marykand. We drive down to Capt. Jimmy's from Hagerstiwn quite a few times throughout the summer, and take crabs/shrimp home with us. We have NEVER been disappointed! Keep up the good work! read more
