I gave it two stars because they the chocolate frozen cake and ice cream was the best art of it all. I microwave the cake and like I said it was the best part. I searched Yelp for 20 minutes before finding enough decent reviews to give this restaurant a try. Coming from N Fort Myers, where the pickings are few. Got there around 3:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday and was pleasantly greeted. Sat at the bar and ordered a Sapporo. The menu was extensive but I had to order what I know-The Sashimi appetizer. The chef did not disappoint and also gave a little restaurant education that was interesting and informative. I found him to be courteous and friendly. Each slice was fresh and delightfully plated. I enjoyed my dish and I was completely sated. I'm giving them a 4 out of five because I also ordered the baby octopus and wonton soup, to go. If that turns out to be as delicious as my appetizer, I will edit this review, accordingly. Either way, I'll be back soon. This is the edit... My octopus salad was great because I substituted regular salad with seaweed salad. The octopus was nicely seasoned and not too spicy. We visited the restaurant in person this time. With our vaccinations firmly established yet still cautious, we decided to eat at the actual Captain Hook's. It was not crowded so we felt comfortable and waitstaff still donned masks. First of all, our waitress whose name I failed to get was most charming. We were there on Father's Day and so she added extra celebration to our meal: . just a perky and friendly attitude went miles toward making the meal superb. We ordered two apps: the Tuna Crisps which were yellow fin tuna, fried wontons, a bit of seaweed and we had an app that could easily satisfy for people. The tuna was spot on and fresh; the seaweed and various sauces were subtle. A great dish. We added octopus shumai as an additional app. I have recently fallen in love with octopus. This was cooked and cold. If you have never tried it and it's a bit like lobster and calamari. We then went with entrees. My husband ordered the special seafood pad Thai. Merciful Zeus, he was served a huge plate of pad Thai with a lobster tail, 10 scallops, 10 shrimp, multiple calimar with no breading, muscles. A truly impressive dish. I ordered the Captain Hook Signature Roll, consisting of scallops, shrimp, asparagus and avocado. Quite refreshing. If the eight or so pieces, I could eat half of them because they were so rich. Regardless, we had enough food to feed an orphanage. Fully satiated and filled to the bursting point, like lazy foodies on a mission, we shared and rejoiced in our wonderfully made dishes. For her price point (seemingly a bit high when viewing the menu,) we were thankful to receive such bountiful servings. For desert we simply ordered Thai coffee. We shared sushi sampler, steamed shrimp dumplings, the "Dynamite Green Mussel," and a dinner main course dish of basil and garlic drunken noodles with vegetables and shrimp. The food was tasty and well presented. Our favourite was the Dynamite Green Mussel. Each mussel is topped with crab, shrimp, and other tasty toppings (reminiscent of a well-prepared quahog dish found in New England cuisine). I have been all over the world and not found a better sushi/thai/pho restaurant anywhere! The portions are large, reasonably priced, and presented well. My family went to Captain Hook's the week of April 11th, 2021 and the service and food was excellent. My family and I are very picky when it comes to Thai food because we have a place at home that we love, so it is hard to compete with that. The waitress was excellent and I could not complain about one thing about her service. She recommend the Kanisu as an appetizer and it had the most refreshing taste. We had the Wonton Soup, Green Dragon Roll, Chicken Pad Se_Ew, Ginger Chicken, and Thai Basil Chicken. We took Thai Coffee to go and I found it a little too strong and the waitress went out of her way to make the coffee just right. All dishes were fresh tasting and full of flavor and I highly recommend anyone to stop by Captain Hook's and try a dish. read more

Tried for the first time the other day at work. It was a little delayed, but it was through bitesquad so not sure on which end. But the food was delicious, my coworkers liked it a lot too.
