BAY TREASURE (asked for it to not be deep fried)

Great service as always! We love coming here, especially with the fun interior design. We ordered the Bay Treasure and were able to ask for it not to be deep fried. It was delicious and a huge portion size Perfect for sharing. We also had the red curry and crispy duck. Flavorful! The Pad See Ew was great too. This place really does a great job of putting their best forward while having such a large menu. Really impressive and will definitely be back again.

This place was packed and I could see why! The pho was super savory and filling! The cashew beef was huge!! Couldn't even finish it between two people! The inside is nice looks smaller on the outside, but the inside is quite roomy!

Captain Hooks offers the best sushi! The service is top notch, the food is quick and is absolutely amazing!!!

Love coming here. Service is always great and food is delicious! I love trying the different sushi rolls and always get seaweed salad on the side. I usually start with miso soup and edamame which always comes out great! We tried the ginger salad this time and the dressing is what makes it great. The portion size was also huge, enough for both my boyfriend and I to share. They also have good Thai food. We got the shrimp pad Thai level 3 spice. If you love sushi and Thai food, definitely give this spot a try!

It's been a while since I updated my review here. My wife, Silvia and I are regulars here because you can't beat the rolls, the atmosphere is relaxed and the employees are awesome. We've been to many other sushi restaurants in town. Most are OK, but we stopped going to the others once we found Captain Hooks. Their pho is also delicious and there are plenty of non-sushi options for others to enjoy as well.

This place is amazing!! Biggest sushi rolls ever they are huge! This one has salmon, tuna, crab, and shrimp!! Was so full after. The servers are attentive and everyone that worked there greeted us. Had a great vibe plus a bar! Will be back!

We stopped in the Captain Hook's on a whim. My husband was triggered by the cost of their sushi so he ended up ordering pho. He is a self-proclaimed pho connoisseur and rated his dish a 6 out 10. I tasted it and agreed that the broth seemed underdeveloped or watered down. It had a very mild and somewhat dirty dishwater taste to it. It was jam-packed with noodles, and the beef was plentiful. I ordered a lunch special that came with a spicy tuna roll and six pieces of sushi. I was happy with the freshness and the taste. Mine also came with soup, so I thought It was a great deal for $18. We had our 2-year-old grandson with us and opted for classic chicken strips. He only got to eat one of them because the others were freezer burned and turned solid in the fryer. This probably sounds like a bad review, but somehow, we didn't hate it. The service was great so we'll try them again sometime in the future.

Thai Nawa is our usual go to & SO much better! We ordered from captain hooks this time bc it's a little closer drive. My husband came home with the wrong order. We also asked for NO spice on the pad Thai as our 2 year old eats it. She took one bite & cried "drink" and spit it out. It was too spicy. I asked for the "Tom Kha Soup a Tom yum version with coconut milk"... literally copied and pasted that from their menu. They were so confused as to what soup with coconut milk we didn't receive. They gave me the Tom yum soup. My husband took the food back, after I called 3x and no answer, and a couple managers looked at it and rolled their eyes. Confused as to "what coconut soup I asked for" and "well did you daughter try it? That's the least amount of spice we have" while rolling their eyes and hesitantly remaking it. to say the least.. Thai Nawa it is! Don't go here. Food isn't great either, customer service is lacking. read more

I am so lucky to live near Captain Hook's - this is my absolute favorite restaurant. The sushi chef really knows what he is doing, the menu ingredients are top-quality and the presentation is beautiful. The staff is really friendly and the servers are efficient, happy and polite. The food is always fantastic. My favorites are the tuna tataki appetizer, Tom Yum soup, red curry (with jalapeños on the side), and the Firecracker and the American Dream sushi rolls. No matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Captain Hooks to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Cape Coral. read more

Went on a Friday night around 7pm. Several 6 top tables were open (at least 20 seats were available in the restaurant), the round table in the corner was open also. We had a party of 3 and were told we could not be seated because they didnt have any smaller tables open. We were told it would be 25 to 30 minute wait. We began to wait but after 15 minutes nobody else had some into sit at any open tables. We inquired again and were told we could not be seated at a bigger table. We walked out thinking they would rather lose customers that are there to spend money all while HOPING someone would come in and take the big tables. Good luck. I hope they filled the half empty restaurant after we left. Captain Hook is off my list now. read more

Went there with some friends and this place is my NEW Sushi and Thai restaurant in the Cape! We have tried others in the area and they are dead to me after this place took me in. We now take all of our friends there and they will drive an hour just to eat here now. The boats are awesome and a lot of sushi too. Well folks I finally got around to taking Captain Hook for a ride via take out. I used their online page to order. It was pretty simple. (Advice and warning!) When using online page or delivery services be advise that the PRICE is usually higher than the actual in house menu and you are given more options/choices from the restaurant itself.. Though it seems everything is getting more expensive...I go for quality & quantity. I order the Red curry & Drunken noodles. I really enjoyed the curry, a bit too tamed, spicy wise. A quart size...BUT I was only given a fist size portion of white rice. That much curry & a pity size portion of rice....WOW..disappointed! Now the drunken noodle was just mediocre to me, nice size portion.Though it fine for the local yokels...Folks in the Coma...I will try them again. Though this location has gone through 2-3 other excellent restaurants , folks in the Cape have no idea what good cuisine. Me growing up in San Francisco I know. Especially Asian foods. PS. I wish them well! (Also each entree was $14.00 bucks) read more

Wanted sushi and decided to give Captain Hooks a try. To be honest we were a little wary with the name but the food was great! We got a rainbow roll, some sashimi and the pirate roll. Man, this food is absolutely wonderful! The veggie spring rolls, goyza, soup...fabulous. Unfortunately, it all came in styrofoam and single use plastic packaging! This is really disappointing, because I LOVE the food, but cannot, in good conscience, order from this restaurant again when they don't practice sustainable packaging. Please, please change your packaging practices, and let me know when you do - I will be your first repeat customer! Until then...I can't continue to order from this restaurant...that really makes me sad. read more

This business opened during the midst of COVID-19. Beforehand, was a life of hard work and dedication. The owners have had moments of struggle just to keep food in their stomachs as well as their loved ones. Fighting hard in the service industry doing sushi for 10+ years they finally decided to join forces. Upon opening, all the handy work and remodel of the restaurant was done by the hands of themselves, sons, daughters, nephews and nieces. This family has been through ups and downs, but they continued to persevere fighting many obstacles in the way. Captain Hook's? This family has been through several journeys in life, and now the end goal is near! WELCOME to the Captain Crew!

Meet the Manager: Tino W.

Hello, my name is Tino Wathanaphone the GM/Son/Nephew of this family-owned establishment. I was born in Burnsville, Minnesota, and grew up in Shakopee, MN. I have been in Florida for over 12 years now and have lived in SWFL for about 8 years. I have been working since I was 14 years old. My very first job was a dishwasher at an Asian restaurant. From there I continued to work and learn the business, and eventually through the journey of accomplishments I found myself at Headpinz Fort Myers! I started as a Customer Service employee, eventually moving my way up to the Assistant General Manager, specializing in customer service. Finally, my family opened this restaurant of their dreams. My goal is to be successful and help those who love me, and do there best for me.

He left, came back and said that the cook told him she had been making the soup for 40 years and had never added galangal. I said that perhaps there were different ingredients in the soup, depending on the part of Thailand that one was from. When the soup arrived, it was in a really small bowl. I saw the lemon grass and lime leaf but no galanagal. That beautiful aroma from the galangal was missing! The broth was very thin as well. The shrimp were well done and that was the soup's saving grace. The satay with the peanut sauce was really good. I'll go back but won't order any Tom Yum from this place. It was a very disappointing meal.

What an amazing dining experience! The crab Rangoon was absolutely out of this world--crispy, creamy, and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. We also tried the Pad Thai with chicken, and it did not disappoint--savory, well-balanced, and satisfying. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience wonderful. Excellent staff overall, Henry the dishwasher SUCKS though. He needs to be either retrained or fired. Extremely rude, screams a lot, a terrible person to work with, is racist and exhibits predatory behavior. It's entirely unprofessional in a workplace setting and sullies the entire work environment. The menu is packed with all your seafood favorites, and everything I've tried has been fantastic. I went with the shrimp and crab boil, and it was absolutely delicious! The shrimp were plump and perfectly seasoned, and the crab legs were cooked to perfection. Discovered this place last year and was excited to return. Ordered the Key West & Japanese Bagel Tempura rolls as well as the Captain Hook's Platter. Plenty of food for three adults with leftovers.
