Johnathan, tow truck driver was very empathetic and helpful! Thank you so very much for saving me

AAA arranged Captain Hook towing when my son's car would not start at his school campus. After a 2 hour wait they arrived with a flat bed truck instead of a wheel lift even though wheel lift was specified. The driver said he would send the wheel lift truck back as it was near by. After a half hour wait we called AAA back only to find out that Captain Hook scheduled the wheel lift truck for 20 hours later! Hey Captain Hook- nobody wants to wait overnight in a parking lot for you to show up and do your job!!! Worst service I've ever seen. As multiple other people have said, ZERO stars, not recommended. read more

Great experience, was professional, did the right job. Would use them again. I think the technicians name was Tavio. Absolutely wonderful person. It's very stressful when a car breaks down, glad he was there to help. read more

Car broke down in Utica, called insurance and they suggested this company. Waited for over 1.5 hrs only to be canceled on and had to get a new towing company. Phone number never picked up when calling. Really disappointed and would not suggest this company. Noticed in the App through our insurance that the car kept moving father away, then stopped in a completely different city. read more

My truck battery needed a jump at my apartment 2.5 miles away from their shop on a Thursday at 1:15am - it was 42 degrees, zero ice or snow on the ground and not a soul on the roads, AAA says this is the company they use for emergency service and they give a quote of 9.5 hours. I missed my next day on the job, as well as all my crew waiting on me. I guess they just needed their beauty sleep??? Regardless, AAA is now on my S#17List as well for relying on this company for emergency service. I refused to do business with them and a company from Wixom Represented AAA very well and arrived from that far away in a couple hours, to a fat tip, a whole bag of snacks, energy drinks, muffins, juice and coffee. I know good service when I see it. I'd give zero if I could, it doesn't let you read more

I've used Captain Hook Towing 3 times through AAA; twice for towing and once to jump start my car. Now I make sure to request them if I call AAA because they always arrive way quicker than other towing companies and the people are always so nice and helpful. I highly recommend calling them if you need a tow or requesting them if you are using AAA roadside service. read more

horrible service. The driver pulled up on the wrong address. When I tried to give him directions, he started yelling and was incoherent. I tried to calm him down but that aggravated him even more and just continue ranting that he is not yelling and I can't tell him what he's feeling and just goes down a rabbit hole. In the end I just told him to have a nice day and cancelled the service. read more

What a joke!!!! Requested a tow and they never showed. I called twice and was given an estimated time but after 3 hours of waiting I called and told my insurance company id order my own. They gave me no way of canceling the order and they finally showed up AFTER another company had already came for my car. They didnt call until they were in the driveway. I cant believe my insurance would outsource through a company so unprofessional read more

Very satisfied with this towing company, they were there quickly. Would highly recommend.

if i could leave 0 stars i would in a heart bet. this company is out here charging an extra $30 to run a card. its really hard to understand what they are saying over the phone. they call you and say card numbers now. I'm sorry but that's not how to ask to get paid for a job that someone had called you for. i would stay away from this company and take your business elsewhere. AKA if you are looking to work here don't waste your time this company will treat you like a dog. read more

Their driver Phillip was absolutely fantastic, however their dispatch was completely ineffective. I waited over 4 and a half hours for a tire change. I was completely understanding with the initial estimate of 75-140 minutes (it is winter in Michigan after all) however each call for updates I was told that it would be another hour & I was hung up on each and every time I called at the estimated arrival window. DO NOT USE This company if you value your time or sanity. read more

Roadside sent them out to pick my son's truck up . The guy sat in my driveway for 30 minutes watching YouTube videos on how to move the deck and just said oh it's a new truck . So I asked him to leave called he was very rude . Tried to tell us it wasn't his company and that someone was driving around with his name on their truck . So we decided to go through another company read more

--- I'm extremely disappointed with the service from Captain Hook Towing. I called for assistance and was assured they would arrive within 30 minutes. Five hours later, they never showed up--and no communication was provided to update me. This lack of reliability and respect for customers' time is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend them based on my experience. read more

No just no do not use Captain Hook. They left my 20-year-old daughter stranded on the side of the road after towing her car away. Said they could not ride in the truck even though there was room. Left them to figure out how to get back to the garage. Talk about a traumatic experience, car breaks down stuck on the side of the road, call AAA for a tow truck, it shows up hooks up your car takes off and won't take you with them ridiculous. Yeah I called to complain, finally after many attempts I get them on the phone, they say the boss will call me back and never does. I called AAA complained and asked them to take them off there preferred tow truck company list I hope they are never used again by AAA. They won't ever be used by me and I recommend you pass and find somebody else. read more

Recently used them through liberty mutual insurance. Once I seen who the insurance choose I looked them up, and not gonna lie got a little worried. But good news I got text quoting 80-120 mins and for Saturday night that made sense. After about 30 mins I got a call to confirm everything for the tow and 5 mins after got a another call he was on his way. About 10-15 mins later he arrived! Kyle was very helpful and safely loaded my very low car on the bed. All and all everything was a lot faster and easier than I could've expected for a tow! Thanks again! read more

I made a yelp just to write this review. Absolutely horrible. Don't use. Would give them 0 stars if I could. They towed my car to the wrong location on a completely different street than what I told them. Tried to call to have them tow it to the right location I was told to call back when a manager came in at 11, and the lady on the phone was giving me attitude. Why are you giving me attitude when you guys made a mistake? No sorry or nothing, couldn't even tell me where my car was, my mechanic found it for me. Waited until 11 then proceeded to call 8 different times and they ignored every single one of my phone calls. So I had to order another towing company to come fix their mistake and send my car to the right place. read more

Honest, which is very rare nowadays, kind and friendly and extremely helpful! They have gone above and beyond to help me with my cars!!

I used AAA and had the pleasure of being set up with Captain Hook towing. The gentleman were super quick to arrive on sight and did a fantastic job loading up my 2002 z06 corvette. I would recommend and use again anytime . Thank you guys very much for being awesome !! read more

Captain Hook Towing - Towing Near Me - Waterford Twp, Michigan

They were very prompt. We're picking up my vehicle and dropping it off. Jafar was very friendly and helpful.

Very good job towing. Good communication. Set up through AAA to tow a vehicle from a dealership to a salvage yard.

Their drivers are dangerously aggressive on the road, from what I've seen they also have no idea how to secure their loads. If you value your vehicle, I'd go with somebody else. read more

Called and waited over an hour so called again they said on their way. He FINALLY showed up, looked at my stalled car and then drove off. I thought he was turning around or something - he said something I didn't understand and then realized he's not coming back. Now you know why they call him Captain Hook. Kinda like the Peter Pan villain, just someone to stay away from. No apologies or anything from the company. Sounded like a rude Japanese woman on the phone - she hung up on me when I asked where the driver was. read more

Unprofessional as they come, we called them as advised by our insurance company and the guy on the phone told my gf that she was a dirty bitch and to find another tow company when asked if there was a way for them get to us any faster than the 3 hour time frame we were given, I cannot believe any business in todays day and age would speak to a customer in that way. I don't recommend this company to anybody,in the clarkston area, u would call Waterford towing or anybody else in the are before dealing with this business, read more

Arrived without notifying me they were here. Was in my car before I was even outside. When I came out he greeted me by saying Hey Baby?? Was here 2 minutes tops trying to jump my car pumping the hell out of my gas pedal which you are not supposed to do on a fuel injection engine. Told him I was scheduled for a battery check not a jump. When he left I called to say something to his boss. She couldn't even understand english, much less speak it. Told her how I was treated. She was on the phone with me, had to hang up on me to talk to him. He came back really pissed and rude was here less than two minutes mumbling he shouldn't even have came back giving me the death stare. Slammed my hood and said he would send someone else out to check my battery. Left like a bat out of hell in reverse down our street. NEVER AGAIN! READ THE REVIEWS!! BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE!!! read more

I used this towing service worst decision i've ever made. The tow truck driver broke The gears shifter where we could not start or move the truck when you delivered it, Mind you I test drove this car before I picked it up, running perfect until he dropped it off. Called owner he said he wasn't paying for anything and hung up. If you use this towing service make sure you inspect your car before the driver leaves. read more

Assigned from AAA. Called at 8:30am. Told that they would be there at 10:01am. Text then updated to 10:18am. I called at 10:25am. The dispatcher at Captain Hook told me that the driver was on the way and less than 10 minutes away. The driver didn't arrive for an hour. If you want to be told stories and wait 3 hours to have them tow your vehicle this place should be able to meet that expectation from my experience. read more

Ended up getting a flat tire and went through this place because it's covered for us. Wish we would of paid the extra couple dollars and gone with a hire rated towing company! I would give this whole experience a zero star if I could! We started out with an eta of 12:30 (about a 2 hour wait) which was fine we get they have things to do. We waited until 20 minutes AFTER the eta to call and see what's going on since no one had shown up. We called once and an Indian lady with very broken English picked up, we then got hung up on after trying to explain our situation, we then called again and she told us 75-80 more minutes and could not give us a reason why then hung up the phone, we called again to confirm the time and try to get everything figured out and she told us it would be "about 30 minutes but maybe a hour or less" after being hung up on multiple times and dealing with a rude lady we ended up calling a different customer service number and finally got answers with a lady telling us 40 more minutes. (We'll see if that happens)! Overall I would never recommend this place and hope no one else experiences these delays and rude customer service! read more

Absolutely awfu! My daughters tierod snapped as she was making a turn. the driver showed up late, then dragged the front end instead of lifting then pulling it onto the flat bad. They cracked her rim and snapped the front axle in the process. $6000 in damage and when they were contacted I was asked to call back in 15 minutes by the manager because he was busy. when I did call back they gave me the run around. Whoever answers the phone then had the driver get on the phone with him and both argued with me then hung up on me. They then called me back 2 minutes later being rude still refusing to let me speak with the manager or owner. Between the crap jobs their drives do and the customer service I dont know how insurance companies even deal with places like this. read more

Do not I repeat do not use Captain Hooks towing. You're better off hitchhiking in the dark Versus waiting on them. I Waited almost 7 hours they never came after a while they wouldn't even answer the phone I am so disappointed. They even told me they were on their way for at least three of those seven hours and then stated the truck broke down but if you read the reviews that's what they say in most of them the truck broke down. Do not use them. read more

I was just met by the absolute worst towing company I have ever experienced. Their driver was extremely rude and acted as if he was doing me a FAVOR BY BEING THERE. He began to hook my car up and asked me a question. He didn't respond to my answer so I told him again and he thought I was being rude, NOT! instead he simply unhooked it and decided he would drive away and leave me stranded. I complained to his boss and his boss took his side. TERRIBLE COMPANY, DON'T EVER USE!!!!!! read more

Contracted through, Hagerty Insurance, Captain Hook Towing showed up on time, pleasantly greeted me, was careful when hooking up to my classic car, properly secured the car to the flatbed, drove carefully to the destination, and dropped the car iff without any damage, whatsoever.
