I have never had an experience like this.... EVERYTHING in my order was nasty!! The fries were undercooked they were still tough in the middle definitely not cooked long enough. The lobster rolls were pre made and reheated in the paper they were served in, you could tell because the bun was shriveled, dried up and the meat wasn't with a creamy sauce, it was dry! And the funnel fries were old as well and rolled in the powdered sugar numerous times, it was piled on. They had that weird powdered sugar taste. I had been craving this meal for weeks and this was such a let down! Tried to call the store but they never answered the phone... Go figure! The location on Dickerson Pike was just as bad the last time I was there, that's why I chose a different location. Never going back... EVER!!! Done with Captain D's! read more

I haven't eaten at a Captain D's in quite some time. This review is almost entirely for the new(ish?) Fish Sandwich. Captain D's has done for the Fish Sandwich what Popeye's did for the Chicken Sandwich and that is perfect it. It's so completely obvious that they could and should have done this a long time ago--it consists entirely of a toasted bun of good quality, tartar sauce, a modicum of shredded lettuce, and TWO of their regular ole fish patties. Whereas most fast food fish sandwiches have dry, rather tasteless fish patties that they only roll out because it's lent or whatever, Captain D's knows how to make tasty fish patties from that being their primary product for decades plus. Apply that to a sanwich and voila! Fries are solid too which helps. As for this specific location--I used the drive through as it was still COVID. Ordered online for pickup, when we got it home the crabs were flat from being under heat light, the fish hard and chewy, the baked potato were cold and you could tell they were there for awhile, they forgot the sour cream, it's usually good but this time was a good waste of $50 ,I ordered the family meal seafood feast, most of it went in the trash read more

Worst food ever from a Captain D's. Waited over 10 minutes for fresh country style fish. It was the only thing edible. The fish and chicken dinner was missing the chicken, yet they charged for it. Let me begin with saying that I truly love the food a Captain D's. I would eat there more than I do, but let me tell you why I have to give it a low rating. First, this is the slowest drive-thru in town. If there are 2-3 cars in the drive-thru lane, then you'll spend a long time waiting... A LONG TIME.... Second, the food is not how it used to be. The hushpuppies are amazing and juicy, but rarely at this location. They tend to overcook things and your food is often dry tasting. The inside environment is often cluttered and messy. Employees are not quick to help out and tend to just hang out at the drive-thru area where they usually move like they have a lack of purpose or motivation. I miss the restaurant and how it used to be several years ago, but this new way of business will end up driving it out of business. read more

We were greeted as we walked in, but the atmosphere quickly went downhill. As we walked into the dining room, it looked as if if had not seen a broom or anything for the tables. I love Captain D's. However the employees here act unsure,as if they don't know what to do. Food came out quickly, reason being it had been pre cooked. Everything was cold. French fries were NOT edible they were so cold. Will not eat here again read more

I haven't been inside recently enough to speak for that part of it, but I go through the drive through to get my grandfather's dinner from time to time. The line always takes an insane amount of time no matter what time I get there. Orders haven't been wrong as far as I know but I won't eat the food because of how greasy it is. Plus the there needs to be a better way to get to & from the building. Its almost dangerous coming from a certain way. read more

If i could give zero stars i would!!! Went through drive through mid afternoon. We waited 30 minutes (there was a car in front of us) we actually watched a person go inside and order get their food and come back out and leave in the time we were there. I was fixing to get out and go i side and raise h**l and the car in front left. The drive through person was very rude and hateful and when we asked if our food was going to be cold they assured it just came out and was warm. It was not it was cold. The fries were cold and soggy and the hush puppies soggy. The green beans were flavorless and the cole slaw was warm. Entire family got sick after eating here. read more
