The interior of the restaurant is loaded with ocean and sea items, as you'd expect. The tables and chairs are a mishmash mostly consisting of, what I'd call, banquet chairs. Mine had a pretty big rip in it and a mighty wobble that must have meant to make me feel like I was on a boat. The server took my order. I got a hot dog and fries and asked if they could put their pimento cheese on the hot dog (if you haven't tried it, you should!). The server said she would have to ask and I said that I was happy to pay extra if needed. What came next was so odd. I could hear the entire conversation from the kitchen. Server: This guy wants to know if we can put pimento cheese on a hot dog. Cook: What? That's weird. Server: Yea, but that's what he wants. Cook:.....No. Tell him we don't have any. Server: Ok. So the server came back to my table and said they didn't have any. So I just got ketchup and mustard. The dog was fine. The fries were under-seasoned. Really, after hearing that convo, I was just ready to leave. The sign out front says that "There's only two places to eat..Home and Captain Bob's..." well I can put pimento cheese on my hot dogs at home so I don't need to return to Captain Bob's.

It was a great experience that provided authentic Hawaiian foods from a food truck called Piha Aloha. Their menu offers the traditional staple dishes such as Lau Lau, spam musubi, lomi salmon, short ribs, kalua pig, desserts, beverages, appetizers, chicken dishes and more. The 3 items that I ordered seasoned steak bites served with mac salad and rice; kalua pork sliders served with chips and spam musubi were very tender, ono and on point. I'm still thinking about those dishes. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and from tasting their food you can definitely tell that every single item was made with pride. I look forward to their next food event, I will definitely be there because they are worth the drive! Mahalo.

The worker at the register was rude. In the middle of me ordering, she interrupted me and yelled out someone's name to say their order was ready. A friend of mine also ordered from Piha Aloha today because of my recommendation, and the worker was rude to them as well. I also asked for a side of poke since I've gotten that here before (as pictured in my last review from a month ago), but I was told they don't do that and that a half-pound ($14) of poke was the only option. I was okay with that and ordered it, but I thought the inconsistency of their offerings was strange. The steak bites I got today were another letdown. They were very tough to chew (way worse than the last time we ordered them). Lastly, they didn't have receipts. I asked for one and was told they ran out of receipt paper. There was no option to have it texted or emailed as well. They didn't have receipt paper last time and I brushed it off, but the fact that they still don't have it a month later is a little frustrating. I really do love this restaurant and I'm sure I'll return for their delicious poke and BBQ chicken. But my overall experience today was less than satisfactory.

I asked woman if she was open she said yes so placed order. I ordered 3 footlong subs. She was visibly not pleased with my placing a large order. I was using a coupon that clearly had exclusions listed. This woman said coupon was only for Classic subs only. That is not what coupon stated. However, I just went with it. I gave her details for 2 of them and phoned wife to see what she wanted instead. Wife upset coupon not being honored as printed. I was reading available ones from menu via phone since her order needed to be changed. Worker raises voice stating she is closing soon. She could have been making the other 2 subs instead of waiting to hear what 3rd would be. Work smarter!!. I will drive to EC next time to another location and not INCONVENIENCE this lady again with asking her to make sandwiches which is in fact what I thought she was being paid to do.
