However, the offer more than just fish and chips (and I must say that their chips are really good - I simply couldn't stop eating them on the way home) as they also have chicken as well, and some other goodies that I can't quite remember. I am shocked that it took me so long to come here, especially since I would walk past it every day on my way to church. No call until mid February no apologies were made. She asked my daughter to email confirming details . My daughter sent email as soon as she got off the phone No reply was ever received. Antoinella called my daughter today and could not remember the previous discussion she had with her 3 weeks ago and didn't even know her name also she advised we have two other groups interested in the same date so you need to make a deposit today or tomorrow. I called Antoinella as it thought it would be easier dealing with me than my daughter since I was the one paying. She was rude and showed no empathy to me not being able to pay today or tomorrow even though I was given the incorrect information. I found her very intimidating and aggressive. So I asked to speak to the owner Adrian. Well things went from bad to worse and his exact words to me were We don't need people like you in my restaurant we have enough business let's cancel your booking. Wow I asked if it's ok then if I leave a google review He said go for it I will just delete ! Really can you do that let's see ..... They were tasty, but I wouldn't order them again. The Bao were DIY style with pickled carrot and zucchini and mayo/hoisin or siracha sauce for your choice of toppings. The chicken was super tender, crunchy and juicy- I would totally order this again, and I was glad I didn't have to share it with others! Two was the perfect amount. Lastly I had the fish bahn mi with mayo and dill. While it was a cute and satisfying size, I wasn't a huge fan of the combination. Traditionally Bahn Mi is bbq pork or chicken, and I was intrigued that Uncle offered fish, tofu or crispy pig ear. I think I should have picked the crispy pig ear because it was the favourite nibble of the night according to everyone else who had it. The standard for a good burger is quality meat, with a decent amount of fat, crisped up on a griddle, but not over-cooked to a hockey puck. There must be American cheese, melty, smooth, without much taste. Toppings must be complimentary to the meat - not a distraction. After our hike in the hinterlands, we were hungry from all this talk of food, but resigned to eat something half-way decent just to refuel after our not-so-gruelling walk. I did a quick search on Yelp and found a burger place in nearby Ferngully. There were no reviews, but there were pictures that had me exclaiming "Legit". The Man said, "no one says legit anymore." We drove as fast as we could to On It. After some explanations about the menu from the waiter, and specifically the smashed steak burger, we all ordered and waited patiently. In the meantime, super crispy onion rings showed up at the table with some super spicy sauce. We loved them, even if our mouths were on fire. Then the burgers came.... and we were all 4 very happy ex-pats. The burgers were nigh perfect. Ratios were just right, if a little heavy on the mayo. We left On It, impressed.
