I hired Capstone in 2013 after my three decker (my home) had a huge fire. I was impressed by Charbel and his team, loved their integrity and communication. I was relieved to turn this heartbreaking event over to their care. The adjuster I hired separately caused delays, but Charbel and crew started out well. But, as the weeks, months and years went on, the wheels totally came off the bus. Staff was downsized, they moved their office without telling me, they needed to have me pay subs for them. Their finish work is incredibly shoddy. It took 5 attempts to install rolling closet doors, and the gouged, rough doors are still there. I am now having to spend hard money to fix what they did wrong. Bob Coughlin, the project manager, is incompetent and condescending, which is hard to stomach. Don't hire these people. I don't know what happened to them, but they do bad work now read more

What a great bunch of people... really. They really know their stuff, they're very smart, and they are sincerely good, kind people that want to help their customers. I'm in the process of trying to buy/rehab a house, and I've been getting SO much guidance at every turn, and can I tell you - I have NO clue what I'm doing, but I know I'm in good hands. Charbel and Christine have helped me to save thousands in money that could have been mis-spent on things that don't need to get done. I value their input because of their objectivity and lack of bias. Through the years, I've had nothing but positive experiences with both Christine and Charbel, and their team at Capstone. A+, in my book. read more

The worste. They built my house in 2016. Put the wrong color siding up. No one ever contacted us when they where "done", they just stopped. There was so many issues it's hard to know where to start. The biggest one was that my house was not built where it was suppost to be or permitted for; this is now costing us much money to rectify. This contractor is incompetent and unprofessional. Stay away, google many other bad reviews for this company. read more

My wife and I contacted Capstone and hired them to build us a tiny house on wheels after they built one on the tv show "Tiny House Nation". At the beginning, the owner was extremely professional and enthusiastic about the whole project, but after the contract was signed and the deposit was paid; the miscommunication began. He failed to show for scheduled meetings with the project manager, design and layout changes were made with no notice and no reasoning to us. The projected was projected to take 4-6 weeks to complete and it's now been 7 months and my wife and I don't have a completed house. WHEN we can get a hold of them, they keep telling us " a few more weeks, a few more weeks" and even after posting a video of our house to their Facebook page with the owner saying "delivery will be in a few days", it's now been two months since that was posted and still no house. My wife and I finally had enough, told them we would take the house unfinished and when we hired someone to tow the house to its destination, we were told by the professional we hired that the trailer it was built on was not even close to safe to be towed. The list of safety features that were reassured and promised to us, were simply not there, broken, or missing. So now, my wife and I are stuck living out of our cars until this issue is resolved, which doesn't seem to concern any of the team associated with our build. The miscommunication with Capstone is unbelievable, their attitude is very unprofessional and extremely sickening. I highly HIGHLY recommend doing some in depth research on customer reviews on many social media avenues before deciding to hire them. With that said, with the work they did accomplish, it was well done, but in a heartbeat I wouldn't hire them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

Don't EVER hire this company to work in your home. There are so many reasons why I'm not sure where to start! They were hired to demo and install a kitchen in my home. It was supposed to be a 5 week job that turned into an 11 month nightmare. First, getting a building permit was a nightmare because they kept confusing our job with another house and were insisting that we were tearing down walls (we weren't). I eventually had to go with the project manager to get the permit myself because he couldn't get it done (should have been my first clue!!). They say on their website that they have a "team" of project managers. There is one and he never showed up on the job site once. Has never been to my home. I scheduled all the inspections myself and no one from he company was present for any of them. The installer they hired to out the cabinets in was horrible. He was rude, condescending and arrogant. He would never work a full day - always gone by 1. The cabinets were installed terribly (crooked, random screws all over and not centered). He charged me for work he said was not covered in the original scope (even though I insisted it was). He pocketed the cash, did not do the work and when I went back to the company to complain with proof that it was covered and I was forced to pay twice they did nothing expect yell at me that they weren't thieves. By the way, that work (molding around the windows) was never done. Sounds like thieves to me. The installer also screamed a lot and grew temper tantrums often. He would refuse to come back to the job site unless paid $400 more dollars. It was ALWAYS $400 more dollars (this happened a few time). The job would then halt until someone paid him to return. I kicked him out of my house when he insulted my husband and I (suggesting I was a prostitute because I had a client meeting one day. I'm a special needs advocate for children). He referred to my husband as a "pussy" (my husband is military special forces). Capstone would not take him off the job and told me it would delay the project months (despite their claims that they have "teams" of professionals working for them). After this he refused to come back again until (you guessed it!!) someone paid him $400!!!! The plumber was good but the electrician was as bad as the cabinet installer. He yelled at me and scratched and gouged the custom wood counters I just had installed. I could go on and on. We fired them from the job. Don't make the same mistake we did - don't even hire them. read more

I don't even know if these people are still in business. If they are, I don't know how. Several years ago they were subcontracted by Lowe's to remodel my kitchen and bath. It was to take 6 weeks, they were starting at the end of September and would be finished before Christmas. In February, after I had been without any water or stove for close to five months, I finally got a sink. Most of their work ended up substandard. I ended up having to hire another contractor to reinstall a whole set of cabinets and fix others that had been improperly installed. When they tiled the bathroom they failed to wipe up the grout and I spent an entire afternoon scraping it off surfaces in the bathroom; the tile floor, the shower, and the new sink and toilet. The list goes on and on. And coupled with Lowe's total lack of management for the project, my experience was a disaster. They never put the insulation they had to remove back in the walls, never prepped the walls or ceilings for paint, just painted over what was there, used scrap wood wherever they could etc., etc. So, my advice is that unless you enjoy virtually losing the use of your home for six months and having to find qualified people to complete work you've already paid them for, run quickly and look elsewhere. read more

Before hiring this company please read Yelp reviews from previous customers . We've all endured the same sad story . DO NOT hire this company to build/renovate your home. Save yourself the headache. This company lacks professionalism, integrity and everything else. I wouldn't trust them to build me a dog house let alone renovate my whole house. read more

Capstone built my tiny house on wheels in the winter/spring/summer of 2016. The build went 5 - 6 months beyond the projected scope of 5 weeks. Many things were changed without consulting us. The trailer that they chose to build on was unsafe and we had to threaten legal action for them to fix it. They ignored many emails and texts during weeks where the project was at a standstill. The wood stove chimney was not installed to the manufacturer's specifications. He bathroom sink we budgeted for was forgotten about so they gave us a "rustic" solution - galvanized bucket mounted on a pvc pipe with five tiny holes drilled in it. It constantly clogs and shreds my fingers when I try to clean it. One of the lights doesn't even work but I wouldn't dream of contacting them to fix anything. They wanted us to sign a waiver before they would release the house to us, relieving them from any liability, because we "complained too much" and "wanted things for free". This is their defense against all claims against them if you do a bit of digging. All we wanted was for them to finish the house as they promised. They asked for payment in the form of three installments spaced a few weeks apart, and due to their error they demanded the final two installments right on top of each other. Our quote was not itemized so it was impossible to see where our money was going. Even though they cut corners on some things, they gave us a hard time when we selected an expensive sink for the kitchen. Acted like they did us a huge favor when our money that didn't go to other things was what paid for it. I HAD to pick out a sink for them since it needed to fit the custom countertop (much less depth than a standard one) delaying the project further. They acted like the delay was unavoidable but the countertop had been installed for months at that point - they had plenty of days with no work done whatsoever on the house to look for it. We needed up getting money refunded for paint, a shed, and a ladder they were supposed to build because it was delaying the project even further and we decided to sacrifice them in order for a place to live. Because of the prolonged build it was impossible to give our landlord proper notice when we would be out by, and we actually lived out of our cars for a bit at the end due to the issues with the trailer. We completely moved out of our place, attempted to deliver the house, and brought it right back to their lot when we found out the trailer had no breaks (among other issues). For the weeks it took them to fix everything, we were homeless. On top of everything the owner is extremely rude and condescending once things start going wrong. We even caught him lying about being out of town despite him showing up at church that weekend. I would never recommend going to them. Anyone can do what they did for us without the headaches. The price we paid would have been worth it if the company took care of everything and was on top of things, but given the massive, unnecessary headaches I'd say we grossly overpaid. read more

Capstone Grafton St in Worcester, Ma was the contractor I hired after huge fire at my 3 room condo. I was at a hotel for 10.5 months. In the beginning the two engineers I worked with were great, until they realized how bad the Scope of Work was. This was completed by one of their employee's and she did not include approximately 5 to 8K in materials. But when they realized how the scope of work had short changed me, their attitude changed. 1. the main fire door to the unit. 2. no sliding glass glass. 3. No ceramic tile in the bathroom. 4.All the ceiling light fixtures, which have been 2 bulb units, were replace with one bulb units. After moving back home, within 1 week I had a list of 19 issues with the work that was done. I picked out the laminate flooring which was 6M THIN.It should have been at least 10 or 12 M thick. I didn't know any better. The floor is a disaster. One window was re caulked 4 times and it's still screwed up. I stayed calm through all the problems starting with the fire, up until 3 or months before I moved back. Then they just dropped me as a customer. My only defense is that I had never built a house before and had no one guiding me, which included the management company of my condo, Northborough Property Management Co. Everyone just wanted me to agree with the Scope. I did. I am sorry I did. I even called the owner of this company and talked about the scope of work with him. I said it was totally wrong, but that I trusted, because of his reputation, they would not screw me. I was the fool. I do not recommend them for any work.... read more
