All staff was friendly, informative, and provided relevant details to me in an approachable manner. The dental hygienist explained everything she did for me before she did it so I knew what to expect. The cleaning process was pain-free, and they did an awesome job at removing plaque and stains. Setting up a plan for dental hygiene was easy and the dentist was accommodating to my needs. This is by far the best dentist experience I've had and I almost look forward to going back? I found this office as a new resident asking around for recommendations. I've now had two cleanings by different people and both were excellent. My definition of excellent being my teeth feel clean but not like they were scraped by an axe. The cleanings were also very fast compared to what I'm used to...and yet no difference in the outcome. The office is modern with the latest equipment. The dentist took close up photos and gave me a detailed tour of my mouth in addition to traditional x rays. Scary but very thorough. He spent a good amount of time with me during my first appointment. The office staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. At my recent cleaning appointment I passed the dentist on the way out and he greeted me by name and asked about my husband (also a patient). I'm sure he was briefed on the patients that day (doubt he knows my name) but good for them for striving to make their patients feel special. read more

Can we be honest about something... I mean, I could go to therapy or I could talk to you guys about it, and I figured working my issues out with fellow Yelpers is my best bet for growth, healing etc. Soooo here goes. Let's not mince words -- I hate dentists. I hate dentist offices. I hate having someone haphazardly scrape my mouth bones with sharp metal whilst my gum tissue cries tears of blood and they...watch the news or a football game. Only looking down when I am obviously flinching or crying out in pain or closing my mouth. Yes. I hate dentists. Then I met Andrea. She's not a dentist, she's a hygienist, and she's gentle and obsessed with Dr. Pimple Popper (so I know she's doing a thorough job with my teeth cleaning). Not once does she judge me with passive aggressive words or a ARE-YOU-KIDDING-ME?! sideways glance when I tell her how long it's been since my last cleaning. Not once does she stab me and mutter "Oops." While the copper taste of my own blood slides over my tastebuds. The only TV playing something other than a selection of Country music courtesy of a popular streaming service is in the lobby (which is totally appropriate) and Frasier is on. The volume is perfect. Dr. Matt comes in after Andrea is done. He is kind, his shoes are nice and he thoroughly explains the recommended next steps for my mouth bones to be happy. My wife, who had been traumatized by the aforementioned dentist, is just as amazed and pleased with Cory, another hygienist at Capstone as I am with Andrea. Who knew getting a teeth cleaning could be the highlight of my day?!!! Can I be vulnerable right now? I almost cried. I'm not weird -- I mean, I do tend to be emotional, but it was just a relief to find this wonderful piece of dentist heaven. Maybe I don't hate dentists and dentist offices... Nevermind. I tried Capstone Dental on a whim because I was just over the six month mark for my dental check-up, and I figured it was about time that I settled into my life here in Columbus and picked some doctors. Capstone Dental is conveniently located at the corner of Broad and High (right near the former Dunkin' Donuts, soon-to-be Tim Horton's). They're open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so it's super easy to squeeze a quick cleaning in before work or on your lunch hour. The practice is small, but very modern. Dr. Piper--who I saw--and Dr. Snipes are both young, but they're both smart and engaging. Their offices are decked out with technologies that will make you feel really comfortable about what you're settling into. I spent a lot of time with Bree, the dental hygienist, between my check-up and subsequent cavity filling, who is super nice and helpful. Let's get down to what you really want to know--is it clean? Is it safe? Did I feel comfortable? Totally. I would highly recommend trying Capstone Dental. They have some offers for new patients, like free professional whitening services with a new appointment, etc. My first appointment, where I had to fill out all of my paperwork and get x-rays, took just about an hour, while my cavity fillings had me in and out within 45 minutes. read more

Kim, the office manager is great, and she's always got a welcoming smile on her face. Brea, the hygienist, is better than most dentists I've ever been to. And Dr. Snipes is great. This is the worst dentist ever!! Aside from the wait and the rudeness of the staff the doctor was brief with the cleaning and rough when working on my teeth. I saw Doctor Piper who is naturally heavy set which doesn't bother me at all, but she was breathing very heavily in my face as she cleaned my teeth, as if she was out of breath? Maybe she walked up the stairs to the third floor when she came back from lunch...very uncomfortable and awkward. I don't recommend at all... find another more welcoming dentist. read more

I had my first appointment on Friday the 13th, (September 2019). No bad luck here! I had a cleaning and an initial examination. The dental practice is high tech, and they can make your custom fit crown in the office, during the appointment. I really was amazed at the "state of the art", dental equipment. I have never seen x-rays that were so detailed. There is no hard sell here. They explained my dental plan based upon priorities, and they do not "double book". They are very detailed oriented. Make sure you get there at your scheduled time. You do not wait. I was pleased with my first visit. My hygienist was Georgia and was very sweet to me, (an old, widow that needed a pillow for her artificial knee, and who was a little anxious about the dental procedure). Georgia was truly a "peach". I could not resist the metaphor, and I cannot resist further treatment at Capstone, even thought I have dental anxiety. I know that I will be treated well, but I think I will need nitrous oxide for the next procedure, deep cleaning. "Stay tuned". read more

I previously tried out a new dentist after moving. She did some work on my teeth that was causing pain that I hadn't experienced before her "fix". I went back for her to fix the issue, but it was no improvement. Instead of trying her and wasting more time, I chose to try out Capstone. I'm so glad I did. The staff is great and they did such a great job. He totally reversed the work she did and corrected from the starting point. The pain I dealt with for months was totally gone in just a few days. So, I haven't seen a dentist in about 1.5 years. I read the other Capstone reviews on Yelp and decided to make an appointment. I had a cleaning and discussed a few other dental concerns. Everyone in the office was super friendly and Dr. Snipes was great. He suggested a few things that I needed to have done, but he wasn't forceful at all. He followed up every suggestion with "we'll get you a price quote for that before you decide if you want to have it done". I discovered that my previous dentist was no longer in-network when they gave me an estimate for a crown that they said I needed. After googling dentists, I saw Capstone had really good reviews, offers same day crowns, and was in-network with my insurance. I called to make an appointment and Laura fit me in the very next week! I got an estimate from Laura before my appointment via email and it was less than half of what I would have paid at my previous dentist. Laura gave me great directions on where to park and how to access the building (it was easier than most downtown locations to access). Cassee and Dr. Snipes were excellent. They showed me x-rays and images of my teeth, and explained why a crown would be overkill. Instead they replaced my fillings. I had my teeth cleaned there today. Great service and people. I've been going to the same dentist for 26 years so it's kind of interesting to see the new tools. Its kind of new school vs old school densitry. Very nice reception area and employees. I watched tv the whole time in the chair and was looking out over High St. Definately better than staring at a ceiling for an hour. If you work or live downtown this should be your dentist. This dental practice stands out as excellent for many reasons. The office is beautiful, comfortable, easy to get to, and the equipment and devices are modern and in great condition. The staff communicated effectively with me and each other. The treatments were performed with care and patience, and I think the results are excellent. Dr. Matt conducted an initial exam utilizing digital x-rays and photographs; he presented both on a monitor and explained his observations in a manner that was clear and thorough. His immediate conclusions were aligned with my previous dentist but he explained medium and long term observations and expectations as a "treatment plan." No pressure, just observations and recommendations. I had a cleaning, and some fillings and the results are excellent. Whereas fillings with my previous dentist were mottled, these were contoured and colored to look just like my natural teeth. Moreover the process was smooth and pain free. My teeth weren't even sensitive afterwards. I feel fortunate to have found this team. read more

I highly recommend Capstone to anyone looking for a new dentist or thinking about switching dentists!! As the end of the year quickly approached (yes, I'm a procrastinator), I realized that I hadn't used up a large chunk of my dental insurance and needed a ton of work done. I called my dentist but with only a few days left before the new year, they were completely booked and couldn't get me in. Taking a shot in the dark, I crossed my fingers and called Capstone Dental to see if they had any time available. Surprisingly, they did!!! They squeezed me in that day for a consultation and a couple days later, I was in at 7am getting work done. The staff and Doctor were awesome and went out of their way to make my experience a great one. They managed to get everything done and then some, helping me maximize my annual benefit amount and saving me money from the original out-of-pocket quote I had received from my own dentist. They were so great that I've already booked my next cleaning with them and I'm planning to switch over completely. The only downside is that they're (for some, conveniently) located downtown so parking can be a tad bit tricky. But trust me, it's worth it!! read more

I have never felt more comfortable and welcome at a dentist office. I was seen the moment I came in, and both the receptionist and Bree the hygienist were very welcoming and nice. The TV is definitely an added bonus, and the office is very modern and clean. Bree and the Doctor took plenty of time explaining to me what was going on with my mouth, and I was even able to see my x-rays on the TV in front of me. I was due for a cleaning and already knew I needed a moderate amount of work done. Dr. Snipes and the staff knocked it out quickly, painlessly, and for a straightforward and very affordable price. All of the work was done with precision, and all of the staff members were thorough in explaining what they are doing and why. They use the latest technology and the office is modern and sleek with great views of downtown. The adjustable tv's that you can watch while your work is being done is a nice touch. I used to be a patient at the Clintonville location (until I moved out of state) and I was genuinely sad to have to find a new dentist. I didn't think it was possible to like your dentist so much. I unfortunately had a problem tooth (not their fault) that resulted in frequent visits and me calling constantly. So frequently that when I called I didn't even have to say my last name. I am SURE I was that pain in the butt patient and not once did I feel like I was irritating or inconveniencing them. They were so kind, understanding, patient and helpful. Danielle in particular, who works at the front desk, has to be one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She is so personable and genuine. I didn't mind sitting in the waiting room because she was such great company. This office stuck with me and continued to try new things to help alleviate my issue -- at no additional cost. Dr. Piper even went as far to reach out to other dentists within her network to share my case and get their opinions on the best approach. They always looked into my insurance coverage before I arrived so I never had anything done that wasn't covered and when I needed additional services, they were very transparent and accurate with their price quotes. The facility is an old converted house, so it is awfully charming. There are tv's in each room which are always a nice distraction too! They have their own parking lot behind the building and I never had any issues getting a spot. Street parking is also available in front of the building on High Street. I couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Piper and the staff at Capstone Dental. 100% recommend. read more

How many people really enjoy going to the dentist?? I can honestly say I do now that I am a patient at Capstone! Their staff is AMAZING! First off everything can be done online which for someone who works crazy hours is a godsend. Laura answered my request for an appointment within minutes and had me scheduled for a 7:00 am appointment just like that. She even sent over all the new patient paperwork and an outlook reminder I could add to my calendar! The day of my appointment I showed up and was greeted by name by Laura.... She was extremely helpful and friendly (especially for it being 7:00 am)! The dental hygienist Tiffany was so informative and explained exactly what she was going to do so I could really understand the appointment. Their equipment is state of the art and the office is extremely clean. Dr. Snipes is a fabulous doctor and came in once my cleaning was over to explain the next steps, make sure I was comfortable with the process and answer all my questions. I couldn't say better things about my experience with their entire staff. Not to often do you experience truly great customer service but this team is one for the books.
