Huge fan of this place. It's one of the busier Saturday markets. Fresh local veggies? Check. Fresh…read morecaught seafood? Check. Man standing in the middle with a guitar singing Dead covers? Check. Locally grown obscure mushrooms? Check. I love this place and the fact it's less than 10 minutes from my house. I try to come here for all my veggie needs. It's a little more expensive, but you pay for quality. Food doesn't have to ripen on the way to Alaska, so you can actually taste the sweetness and fullness of every vegetable sold here. Open from 9AM-2PM. Get here early. Parking is limited.

I grill these in my special new cast iron oyster skillets! 2 dozen Oysters are a weekly staple during the summer when the markets in full swing. We then went and grabbed some super huge radishes from another vendor. Oh yeah a bread that's super high quality that Leila can eat Calugine from Zoi Food for life it's special for wheat sensitive people and vegans. There's always something good there!

Got a lot of really great souvenirs during my visit to the festival earlier this summer!…read more Due to COVID there weren't a ton of vendors when I visited in August, but I ended up purchasing items from 4-5 of them. There were so many interesting wares and the sellers were all lovely people, so it was a really pleasant way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday morning. I bought a few carved wooden mushrooms made from fallen trees (I kept one for myself and gave two as gifts- the recipients loved them!) An older couple was selling them along with carved wooden bowls. The craftsmanship was excellent and all of the products were really unique and beautiful. I also had a nice chat with the sellers, who gave my newly married husband and I some useful advice on long term relationships! They also gave us one of the carved mushrooms for free, as a wedding gift, which was unexpected and so wonderfully kind. I just wish they were online so I could buy more!! Other great items we found / purchased: - Native made jewelry from a woman who handpicks all the pieces herself. Some really fantastic pieces at great prices! - Containers of tea from a woman who makes the mixes herself using chagga mushrooms she finds locally and items from her garden. - Christmas ornaments made from clay and carved by an Alaskan artisan (some have sled dogs, seals, etc) There were also vendors selling food, popcorn, fur, wood signs, and a few other things. I wish I got to see it during a normal season, but even during COVID I thought it was great! Would love to go back if I ever find myself in Anchorage again!

The rest of the lot was amusement park rides. There was a booth to dress up and take photos with Alaskan huskies, ulu knives, handmade candles, fur, photography, jewelry, and my favorite: Christmas ornaments made of Alaskan clay. I had to get one and start my travel Christmas tree ornament collection. Paid parking across the street and they were actively ticketing!

5 stars for customer service 5 stars for quality produce…read more5 stars for ambiance 5 stars for delicious smoothies 5 stars for the plants next door at a That Feeling Co This place is amazing!! I came in with a client who happens to have special needs. I arrived first to get the lay of the land. Sutton, the man behind the smoothie bar, was warm and welcoming. When he learned that I was waiting on a client, he immediately asked me kindheartedly if he could accommodate my client in any way- reducing the volume on the music, lights, etc. Once my client arrived, Sutton worked some serious magic, engaging my client in conversation, teaching about how the smoothie machines worked, and generally being a decent human being towards my client who is often marginalized. Their conversation nearly made me tear up. This visit started off as a journey to learn about a new business in town and how to order a smoothie and turned into one of the best outings my client and I have done. Go for the great vibes, tasty smoothies, inviting atmosphere, great produce-- but most of all go support this wonderful business with a heart of gold.

Full Circle was delivering beautifully fresh produce to my front door even before the Covid-19…read morelockdown. It was a great help to have while my disabled husband was needing more and more attention. Now, 3 years later and their produce is still THE BEST. Better even than my favorite grocery store. Customer service is always stellar, there never seems to be a mistake in my box or my credit card. You can choose the size of box, what goes into your box, and even choose how frequently the box is delivered. What could be better? (check out their Facebook page too) Give Full Circle a try, you won't be sorry you did. -Bev S in Salem Oregon-

I have been getting Full Circle deliveries for a couple months and I love that most of the produce…read morelasts a week or more, which greatly exceeds any produce available in the grocery stores near me. And the convenience of fresh produce coming to your door every week can't be beat, I've even added local milk deliveries (though I wish I could automatically have it come each week without having to add it each time). I get the harvest box which is perfect for my family of four. My amazing 7 year old daughter decided to become a vegetarian June 2012, since she has gone meatless the rest of the family only eats meat a couple times a week (I could probably give it up but my husband never could) so we go through a lot of produce. I also enjoy that the produce is so varied. There are so many things I've never tried and I love receiving items I wouldn't regularly buy because then I get to try new things. For example, I never buy any squash besides pumpkin and I've bee having fun preparing a variety of squash recipes. Also, I had never heard of Rainbow Chard before getting these deliveries and it is the most beautiful green and I love making Rainbow Chard Alfredo, sooooo good! My experience with Full circle deliveries has been awesome! Though I do think they could replace the box with reusable totes. I get milk in a cool pack I have to return each week, I wouldn't mind doing the same with totes.
