I decided to go with Roof Kings because based off of four criteria: 1. Quality installation 2. Equipment 3. Warranty and coverage 4. Price Roof Kings installed hundreds of homes and are one of the largest roofers in the city with over 20 years of professional roofing experience. They also provided high quality shingles, presented me with multiple types, and let me choose what I thought to be the best value and quality. They were also able to do the roof quick, within a week and the job would have taken 1-2 days max, which was important to me. Price wise, they were not the cheapest (due to all the insurance the company holds being general liability, workers comp, auto.) but they were not the most expensive. Right in the middle. Honestly, I probably would have chosen them even if they were the most expensive. I felt comfortable when talking to the owner about his background and experience and felt that he was most knowledgeable and competent to do the job. More importantly, I had an issue with a small are near my window a year after the installation. The owner immediately came over, and within a couple of weeks, remedied the issue at no cost to me. How you service me after I give you my money... that's something we don't know tis something happens. The last thing I want, is for a contractor to win the business and then dodge my call when I need service done. This showed that they stand by their word and warranty. Service couldn't better!

It was later discovered that they had failed to properly install the original drainage system back, because the rainwater stayed on the roof and couldn't be drained away. It used cheap glue, perhaps because the canal was submerged in water for a long time and started to loose after two years. At the beginning there were only two or three places, but later there were more and more loose and later, bubbles began to appear in many places. It turns out that the entire new replacement was not built to standard. It's very difficult for ordinary people like us to notice. Therefore, you need to consider this before choosing them.

We consulted with several contractors and ultimately settled on BBC due to the competitive price, references, and availability. We worked with Eduardo and his team throughout the duration of the project. We are very happy with the outcome. The Quote & Final Price. Of those we contacted, BBC took the least amount of time to get us a quote. The quote was also the most detailed of the ones we received. Eduardo included renderings of the island remodel and surrounding space as well as a detailed breakdown of materials and labor. The quoted price was very competitive -- it was among the lowest. BBC completed the project for the quoted price in spite of a few unexpected complications we encountered along the way. Quality of work. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work performed. We were very up front about certain key requirements going into the project and Eduardo did a very good job making sure to adhere to them. For example, we wanted to make sure the island cabinetry matched our older, discontinued, cabinetry. Eduardo was able to match our own cabinets very closely without impacting the price. We also had a number of other very specific requirements regarding cabinetry arrangement and Eduardo stuck to it perfectly. We got what we asked for. Communication and experience. Eduardo and his crew kept the dialogue going throughout the project. We spoke regularly via telephone, email, and text message. They listened to our questions and concerns along the way and made adjustments based on our input. They were very good at explaining when certain things made sense and when they didn't. Eduardo and his team were not afraid to speak up when they thought their input would lead to a better result. For example, Eduardo and one of his team members (Daniel) had some suggestions about how to cut the granite to wrap around some steam pipes adjacent to the island. This resulted in a much better finished appearance and the additional cost was negligible. We are glad we listened to their suggestions as the final result is better than we had expected. We had a great experience with BBC and would use them again. We recommend them for anyone considering any type of project for their home.

The team rotated for various stages of the project: demo, reconstruction, carpentry, tile and finish work. They worked with our current plumber as we had determined that at the outset. Mike or Brian were on site at least once a day and they were always available to stop by if any issues popped up. The house was built in the 1920s and the bathroom was original to the house, so unexpected issues were inevitable, i.e. deteriorating pipes discovered when the walls came down. These bumps along the way were handled skillfully and effortlessly and they walked us thru their recommended solutions at every turn. The team was professional, knowledgeable, friendly & respectful. We were able to work from home without any interruptions or concerns. The work itself was top-notch as everyone on the team was skilled in many different areas. If a tile issue came up when the carpentry guys were on-site, they were able to seamlessly switch gears and solve the problem. They sought our input and kept us in the loop every step of the way. They offered suggestions and solutions that made us confident in our decision to use them for such a large project. They took care to finish every last detail and a few weeks after the bathroom was completed, Mike stopped by to fix an AC vent cover that got stuck in the shut position when re-installed. Little things like that is what sets them apart from other contractors we've worked with in the past. The Giovannucci Brothers communicated with us in a clear, straightforward manner so there were no surprises. We always go in to these types of projects with a bit of anxiety, but our concerns disappeared once construction began. We will be recommending Brian & Mike and their team to all our family and friends. Thanks, guys!
