If you're looking for a large movie selection, tons of snack options, and celebrity sighting - then…read morethis isn't the movie theatre for you. Crystal Theatre is a cozy little theatre with one screen. The Crystal opens 15 minutes before each showing and closes 15 after the movie. Admission is $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for kids/seniors, which isn't too bad - you can use the money you saved on some milk duds. The staff is very nice and courteous. Oh, and about the those milk duds, they do have those. As well as popcorn, red vines, sodas, and other goodies, all at low prices. Few problems I had: This theatre only has one to two showings a day Only one movie every few weeks Overall not that bad of a theatre, I give it a two and half thumbs up.

On a Tuesday night, the place was packed, seemingly with locals, which made the comedy even funnier from everyone laughing. The cost is $8/person and they only take cash. There is an ATM across the street with a $3.50 fee, so you might want to be prepared with cash beforehand. The concessions are limited but not expensive. And the theater opens 15 minutes before the movie...people will be waiting outside the door before the owners open up. The theater has comfy streets and a solid wood floor. Very nice inside and the sound and screen are of good quality. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for a movie in Carbondale.

We didn't particularly like the hamburgers or the pizza. I wish they would fix the speakers because we couldn't get the app to work and I couldn't get the radio station to come in on my phone. We didn't turn on the radio in the truck because it didn't have a back window and we didn't know if we could hear it. We should've checked out a radio from the concession stand to use, but we didn't. But that is a really cool option that they have. The prices are great, and all of the staff members were super friendly and helpful.

The newly remodeled concessions stand is definitely a highlight--plenty of tasty food options,…read morequick service, and clean facilities. However, the overall movie experience was frustrating. We arrived early and sat through over an hour of waiting until sunset, which is understandable for a drive-in. But then previews kept looping for another 45 minutes to an hour after they gave a 'few minutes until movie starts' announcement. The movie didn't actually start until 9:45, meaning we were sitting there for nearly two hours before anything began, way after the sun had already set. It felt like there was a lack of awareness or consideration for the audience's time. If they could tighten up the schedule and cut down the endless previews, this place would be a much better experience. As it stands, the concessions are great--but come prepared for a long wait.

Yes its small but it pretty clean and has good service. I have been to theater's in multiple states, from large city to small towns and this is a pretty good place. Positives Ticket prices are reasonable (not $14-16 bucks like the city) They have 3D if thats your thing Two screens so you have a choice of two moves and they are usually only a week or two behind if at all Decent selection of candy, soda and popcorn Love that the ladies working there called out some tweens before they went into the theater for being rowdy, if they kept acting up they were going to get kicked out - thank you so much! Enjoy some of the old theater touches, tile and sconces. Negatives Really wish they had a website with showed what was playing, how long for and what was coming next. Some movies only show for a week so you snooze you loose. Aisle in the theater is down the middle so if the middle seat is your thing your out of luck. Street parking only which with snow kind of sucks (no snow there is plenty of street parking in the evening). I worked in a large move theater in high school so I know how bad they can be. This place is small but well run. Appreciate having this resource in town, many small towns don't have this. I also love that you can go to the movies, get soda and candy and not be broke afterwards!

I'm a history-buff, and I love that sort of thing, but I wish they would upgrade the seating to the more modern seats that now lay back a bit for comfort. The overstuffed red velvet chairs were quite comfortable, for stationary chairs, but there's no changing your position. And there's not quite enough foot-room for someone like me, 6'4" tall. The popcorn was fresh, buttered perfectly, and absolutely delicious! The staff was quite friendly, very nice, and the theater itself was very clean. Nice, well lit and with a clean men's restroom. I'm cold-natured, and the theater was not warm enough for me. I was OK with a big down jacket, but I loaned that to my lady friend to cover her legs, which were too cold. So I sat there and watched a movie, just a little bit uncomfortable because of the temperature. We are over 65, and they gave us a nice discount for being seniors! The feature film last night was Michael, the Michael Jackson story portrayed by Jaafar Jackson. It was very entertaining, and we got more than our moneys worth! The Gunnison - crested Butte area only has one Movie Theater, and I have to give them credit... It's a pretty darned good one! In spite of the things I critiqued it still gets my 5 stars because it was better than I guessed it would be. Just bring your jacket!
