For almost 10 years I have worked for this company Cleveland Cinemas. I work in three different locations. Tower city cinema, Cedar Lee, and Capitol theatre. For this review, I will be mainly talking about capital theater. If possible I would give them a 0. The company is run by people who do not care about their employees or customers. A customer complaint is not taken seriously whatsoever. Floor staff and lower-rate managers are overworked and underpaid. I'm going to leave a photo & video below of how dirty the water was this past summer. We were never told to call someone to make sure that the water was safe to drink but we were told to keep serving it alone as it didn't look too bad. There is a Mice problem problem and there is not much they do about it. Mice are running around where the candy cabinet, We figured that out when we found fecal matter. I also wanted to mention that there also fecal matter near the popcorn seeds. The pop machine is not cleaned thoroughly. There is some black stuff that ( which I just found out is Black mold ) comes out of the pop tower which is dark to see with the dark pop but easy to see with light color pop. The Training you get is practically non-existent. I was barely trained for the position I earned and was promised to be retrained by the vice president and still didn't get it. When asking my GM questions she would be very unclear or she would tell me to read the employee handbook rules which are outdated or have no information that I was asking about. The location became very toxic after they hired the new GM. Before I get into it I want to State this from the beginning, I have no beef with that woman whatsoever but this is the Truth of the matter. There are numerous times when I caught her in a lie and I saw her throw the floor staff under the bus to save her candy ass. She hired just about anyone which is another reason the place is going downhill. She is a laughing stock throughout the community and what I mean by that is other businesses around the area feel like she didn't know what she was doing. there are times when we are busy asf and she is just standing in the way not doing anything. I could go on and on but I think I made my point. Do not wait your time going to Cleveland Cinemas. you are better off going to Eastgate Atlas Cinemas Eastgate 10, Great Lakes Stadium 16, Diamond Center 16, AMC Ridge Park Square 8, and AMC Westwood Town Center 6. I almost forgot most of the time the popcorn is not fresh and we are told to lie to customers.

Awesome local theater! Went here for the first time and was amazed by the sheer size of the movie auditorium we were in... it was beautiful! Plus, the matinee prices are so cheap compared to other big name theaters. Great popcorn & snack selection as well.

Capitol Theatre is a great place to see movies. Eventhough the screen in the upper theaters is not as large as new theaters, you do not even notice once the movie has started. Everything is up to date pertaining to sound, picture quality, etc. so it is still an amazing movie experience. I love how you can always get a ticket and don't have to worry about a bunch of teenagers running around on a Friday night. It is great to be able to walk into old world Cleveland. The renovations are amazing, so it is definitely worth checking out. Keep it local and go to the Capitol Theatre!

A fantastic renovation for a neighborhood gem. The main screen is huge and the seats are really comfortable. The concessions are ok; would love to see more locally made foods. And it could not be more centrally located to bars, restaurants, etc. Too bad the second floor theaters are not handicap accessible. But I get that that's not possible because of the buildings historic status.

Just bought 3 tickets to Elemental about 30 minutes ago. Just drove over to find a "closed for construction" sign. Awful trash service.

The tickets were about what movie theater tickets cost, ours included some concession credits. I got a large blue Powerade. We went to the side concessions away from the main concession line, which had a significantly shorter line but was not nearly as stocked with concessions. Just fountain drinks and popcorn. In the theater, the seats were full of room for you to lounge. The seats we had the buttons to recline which could be a problem if you're prone to falling asleep. The screen is huge! The angle of view from the seats we had was perfect to me. The sound was loud and very clear with the sound coming from each direction. All staff we interacted with on entry and exit were all smiling and wishing us all safe travels back with it snowing like crazy earlier. I am more likely to make the drive down to this location. This is how you would want to experience a movie in a theater. Good work Valley View Cinemark!!

I have been to this movie theater numerous times over the years, and found that it hardly changed over the years. It remains timeless. AMBIANCE: The movie theatre is spacious offering a lot of pre-movie activities. There is a sit down cafe area to start nibbling on your popcorn. There is a small arcade with claw machines, and games for solo or groups. They also usually have a display for new movies where you can take fun keepsake pictures. I found that quite a few couples and friend groups checking out the amenities before the movies. The movie theater rooms are certainly outdated considering other cinemas in the area. The recliner chairs operate slowly and appear worn. My least favorite part is the lack of row labels. The row labels are on the floor/carpet. It makes it impossible to see during dim lighting before the movie and should you need to leave during the movie. It's just simply not practical. CONCESSIONS: Concessions go above and beyond with food and movie merch. For instance, Wicked performance featured toys, souvenirs, and even pink/green popcorn. The concessions are overpriced as they are everywhere. SERVICE: The service here is very subpar. Employees mumble to customers and it's really hard to decipher what they're saying. I had this experience during initial entry and at concessions. They are very apathetic or even borderline rude. You don't feel welcome here at all, the service is pretty bad. PARKING: There is a huge parking lot at this movie theatre, larger than other. The parking lot is well lit so you feel reasonably safe. In all honesty, I won't be sprinting back to this movie theatre. I was just purchasing tickets to the next exciting movie release, this movie theatre was the last on my list. I purchased tickets to another movie theatre. My main reasons are that the movie theatre is very outdated and service is terrible. I'd rather go to a more updated venue with friendly staff.

Instead she was so polite and gave us our food, not even questioning the fact my friend didnt pay for the seat‍. In addition to that, i was nervous since it was my first time going to the movies without a adult there with me. So i was nervous and accidentally gave her more money than intended. Instead of stealing my money, she just gave it back and told me the correct way to do it. I really appreciated her great service plus i feel like more workers are needed like her. I mistakenly purchased a ticket for the wrong theater and only realized the error upon arriving at my intended location. When I asked the staff there for assistance, they told me I would need to drive 30 minutes to the other theater in order to resolve the issue--despite the fact that I was standing in an AMC location and had simply booked the wrong one. I asked if they could call the other theater or help process a refund, and they outright refused. I then attempted to contact the correct theater myself, but by the time I got through, the movie had already started and the online portal no longer allowed refund requests. When I finally reached a manager, I was told there was nothing he could do unless I physically drove to that location and might be eligible for a comp pass. When I asked if the passes could be mailed to me instead, I was told that wasn't possible and that the general manager--who wasn't available--would have to make that decision. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, inflexible, and frankly unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expected reasonable support for what was an honest mistake, not to be met with roadblocks and indifference at every turn. I am requesting a full refund for the unused ticket and a formal acknowledgment that this situation was mishandled. I've been to this movie theatre a million times over the years most recently attending movie screening of "Regretting You." AMENITIES: The theatre is multi-floor massive building (escalator available). The theatres have very comfortable new-ish recliners and sufficient leg room. I love how you can keep reclining and people can still pass by. Every seat has drink holder. The theatre also has fun activities to do prior to the movies - some games (arcade type) and Photo Booth ($6 for 3 poses and 3 printed pictures). New at this location and movie posters! Oh, how I wanted this in college when I was adorning my walls with all the movie posters. Also, can't beat the location - Crocker Park and Promenade Plaza are nearby for fine dining and ultimate date night. CONCESSIONS: Concessions here seldom have lines at least when I stepped by. It cost me $21.58 to get large popcorn and large soda. The portions are so huge that I could have split it with multiple people. By the end of the movie I had popcorn for another 3 movies! PARKING: The parking is available at covered garages in Crocker Park. I usually park at Promenade and walk over to the movie. I find it much easier to navigate out to the highway. SCREENING: My latest visit was for Gofobo screening of "Regretting You." The screening organizers invited my book club (CLE Gals Bookclub) to the screening. We had such a fun night! There was free movie merch like apparel, posters, bags, and cups. All so cute and high quality! The screening line was very efficiently moving and it was the easiest screening process I've ever attended! The film was such a feel good romance. It officially hits the big screen on Friday, October 24. Go see it! I loved being part of this experience! I would highly recommend this movie theatre and any screenings held here! I'm already planning my next movie night here!
