The word that comes to mind after watching those recitals and knowing what my daughters are doing at Route 42 is gratitude. I am so very grateful that my daughters have had the opportunity to dance at Route 42. Miss Nancy has raised the bar since taking over while still maintaining a fun and caring environment. I never really compared their instruction to others', but now see how much further along they are in learning proper technique and dance movement. As my oldest daughter and I were watching another studio's recital last night I was thinking to myself how grateful I was to have my daughters taught by Miss Nancy, Miss Magons, and Miss Katherine. At the same time my oldest daughter leaned over to me and said, "I feel like I need to give Miss Nancy (the owner) a great big hug. So Nancy here is your hug. Keep up your excellent work.

The doors were open and they had fans but will all the sights and lights in the place if made it quite hot. They do have a few tables and chairs in the middle of you need to take a break. No cover charge; browse, drink (they just got their liquor license, I've yet to try); pay 25 cents - $1 for each play. change machines are on site (bring cash). Staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about pinball. If you're looking to practice in pinball or want to let the kiddos run amok amongst the machines, the $ can add up quick since you're paying per play. In that case, your wallet may encourage you to check out super electric in Gordon Square or kidforce in Berea where you can pay 1 flat fee to play as much pinball as you want all day. that said, Pinball Planet fills a clear void where you're looking for pinball and want to do something different. I have had 2 of my children attend there and graduate. One was bullied, the other just put up with…read moreeverything and turned an eye. Our youngest attended there and we were forced to withdraw her because of the favortism played. She was a 4.1 gpa never in trouble and things changed when she went to her counselor due to a bad day and it ended where the counselor said she took pills. Non of which she did and then she had to get evaluated to go back, we abided by that and when we presented the hospital proof that she took nothing, was in sound mind, the prinicipal made up a contract which no one would admit to approving. My daughter refused to sign as they wanted control of her in and out of school. After summer and my daughter wanted to go back and attend senior year...so she signed. A month later an incident happened between her and her BF at 10pm! nowhere near the school...no charges, nothing and the school wanted to expel my daughter but permit the boy to still attend the school, and he is the one who told my daughter to kill herself. In the meantime, we get from her friends that they could no longer speak to her because of being told to by the school, all blocked her out of fear of repercussion. We ended up withdrawing her... The emotional abuse they put our daughter through has caused PTSD. It has shaken my faith, but God has been by our side to see her through and with the help of a caring school she graduated early and is working on her career choice. Things like this does exist and it happened to so many...some schools are just better at hiding their dark secrets.
