BEWARE FEELING SCAMMED After Months of waiting on mirrors that were never delivered and prepaid for. I asked for a refund for the (2) mirrors that were over $900.00 plus tax collected.. The invoice was paid by my personal check for a total of 3 mirrors and 1 light fixture. Therefore I do not have a credit card company to dispute my issue. It has been over 2 months since first making contact about the refund. I was told we will get back with you. I have called 5 times about the refund to the sales person Marriane Murphy and to the store manager Gage Fraser and still no responce. I did recieve the 1 light fixure and 1 of the mirrors from the order. It is sad that the only way to get a possible resolution is to post on social media about a buisiness not being trustworthy.I would not reccomend doing buisiness with this store! read more

You can see below we didn't get off to a great start. We're ending in a far more positive note. So here are some pointers and views of Capitol's pros and cons. Order Process: a mess. I believe the web interface we have access to is different than what the stores use and different than what the company uses if you call in. My advice, do your research on line (manufacturers' sites). Order from the store. Don't go near the web site as it's loaded with bad information that will only complicate matters. More on the order process: Audit, audit audit. if that means being rude, be rude. The systems appear to be difficult and mistakes are more common than we expected. Its not the sales personnel. They are quite knowledgeable and seem to know what they're doing. Shipping: Responsive (drop ship or in-house), no delays, very well packaged. Prices: Very competitive. We found it difficult to do better. Technical support: excellent both in store and if you phone the company. Do not use the website for technical information. Where we did it was wrong. Overall this is and feels like a family run business. In that respect we admire them for existing while the on-line behemoth sucks the air out of any choices we consumers have. On the other hand, its a bit quirky and takes a bit of attention when compiling orders. read more

Good selection but man the customer service leaves something to be desired. First of all- very few things are in stock- so be ready to wait. Then, the salespeople don't communicate. AT ALL. So, my salesperson, Robert (who was super nice) I guess has been away...? So, when my light came in, no one called me. Why wouldn't people check when things come in? Had I not gone into the store, who knows how long I'd be waiting. I've never heard of such a thing. It's not his fault for being out. Then, when I did go to see if it had arrived, the other sales guy essentially said "robert will be back tomorrow". How about YOu just go and check?? I'm already here. Behold! The light was there. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Paid $902.00 for an 80" Outdoor fan. I dealt with Alan and the unit was supposed to be shipped directly to my home within 7 days. I called 4 times and spoke to customer service who promised they would have Javier the manager call me back. On my fifth call I was told that the unit was delivered by UPS. I never received it and again was told manager would call me back. I never got a returned call so I went and checked and found it was delivered to my neighbor. Hires an electrician to install in my tiki and the fan won't start. Once again called Capitol and Alan answered the phone. One again told me I have to speak to Javier who is only there on Monday. So now I am out the money for the electrician as well with no help from anyone. Alan says he has a sho room full of people and can't help me. Don't ever do business with this company. In our quest for lighting options, this was a beautiful store to shop for ideas. Jodi greeted us and was happy to point out some options meeting our desires. She was very friendly and did not make us feel rushed even while the store had multiple customers on this busy weekend. We were able to see multiple lighting choices both indoor and outdoor along with ceiling fans. There were also catalogs available if more choices were needed. Bought a really cool contemporary led floor lamp which was both expensive and defective. The holes in base were misaligned. I had to pay a Tasker over 60 dollars and he almost gave up. Luckily he had some smaller screws as he said the screws that came with it were too big for the holes. So if you want to say you bought your lamp at a high end lighting store think twice. This lamp was very expensive after all that. If you want Made in China junk Capitol is the store for you. I'll try Target next time. read more

Very unprofessional company. Went in to buy a crystal chandelier. Sales lady ordered it a month and a half later no chandelier. Sales lady never called back. I called them they did not know what happened to the chandelier. Instead of saying come in and find some thing else they just refunded my money. We then walked the entire store, even by a conference room where salesman were munching on bagels, no one even looked up. Finally a woman asked if we needed help and by the way she acted, I clearly felt that we were intereupting her, couldn't wait to leave. This location is at the corner of one of Ft Lauderdale's busiest street intersections. We came looking for pendant lights. They had a limited selection of pendant lights to look at in their showroom but nothing really appealed to us. The sales person stated that they make house calls in a consultant capacity which is a nice touch. Judging from the on-line searches, their prices are competitive and the sales person stated that they offer a 10% discount, I am assuming on in-stock items. Went into store with photos of my outdoor light fixtures that mysteriously stopped working (brand new construction house). I couldn't order new bulbs online until I figured out make and model of fixtures. Well, not only did Robert find my light fixtures but he looked up warranty info and found out they were still under warranty. He then called the company and ordered me replacement LED discs (unfortunately these are not screw in light bulbs)! He explained to me how to take out and replace the new disc LEDs and is having them shipped directly to my home. All at no charge. Finally my lights will be fixed. Javier was/is great. He came right out after my explaining that I bought the lights from the store in Boca and the transformers keep blowing out.
