Small but pretty decent, open pretty late and the best option if you are downtown and like me, are on Bayview boycott

I had to come back here because the prices are cheaper than most stores in the area and everything…read moreis so expensive now. I can only afford certain items, if I come here. Yogurt is 6$ at other stores and only $3 at Winco For the same brand. A warning for women who go shopping alone. I was almost attacked by a man in the parking lot and had to call the police. He blocked me into my parking spot and got out of his vehicle screaming at me. Just warning people get crazy here, maybe Lacey in General. So I usually take my husband now, and do not go alone. The service is better now, and I have not seen the cashier who was rude before. The customer service people are so nice, quick and helpful. And the cashiers are generally friendly and pretty fast. Glad I gave this place another chance.

On numerous occasions, I have witnessed customers with dogs in the store. Everyone claims it is a…read moresupport animal of some kind. Today, a man with a long unkempt beard and a dog half his height (unleashed) were walking the aisles. I complained to customer service about this. This is a filthy habit in a grocery store where there is food, food in open containers (bulk items) meat and produce. The manager (a black middle-aged female) and a security person, approached the man and recieved the same excuse, that it is a security animal. The manager allowed him to continue shopping. I then complained to the manager about WINCO practices. The manager then threatened to have me thrown out of the store. I am a senior citizen, older WHITE male with white hair. Tell me this is not DISCRIMINATION. We older white men are targets for discriminatory hatred among black females. This is a matter that needs to be addressed. That manager needs to find work elsewhere. No customer should be treated that way for complaining about store policy. WINCO - LACEY is going to become a homeless encampment, and I guess that is ok. Every type of behavior and all people, except older white men, are welcome/with their animals, at the "not so diverse" WINCO-LACEY. White men/older white men are being marginalized by black females. That is a fact. DISCRIMINATION should not be allowed. This behavior of the black, female WINCO store manager should not be tolerated . Corporate should do something about this. Corporate has been notified. This doesn't end with a Yelp review.

Came here to look for something the other Olympia Food Co-op on Pacific Ave didn't have and this…read morelocation has a more spread out footprint than the that one. However, I feel that the Pacific Avenue location's crowdedness makes it a little more fun to discover all the little culinary surprises the store has hidden away. What this location has in favor of it was one little wedge of cheese that we've been looking for forever since we moved to Washington State- a wedge of Brillat Savarin. For me, there is no other brie. One time I was at the Cheese Board Collective in Berkeley to find a blue cheese from Asturias when I saw the Brillat Savarin and insisted my mom get it for a party. She asked why the big deal and I said that it's the closest thing a cheese can get to butter. The cheesemonger standing in front of us looked up from his cheese sorting, looked us with crazy eyes and whispered, "No. It IS butter." He then stopped what he was doing to spread out a runny dab for her on a cracker and my mom saw the light. We were so excited about finally finding this cheese when other people heard my sister singing its' praises and they wanted it. There was only one wedge left, so my sister gracefully let another man have it. I mean, how else do you spread the gospel and make converts until other people have had their own spiritual experience. So we'll be back again with the hope that they restock.
